Nezha

Nuwa flicked her wrist and tossed the Breath Soil towards the Three Lights Divine Water. The two objects met and entangled in the air. After a while, they merged together, seven parts mud and three parts water. Xuan Tian then took out two withered wood fruits, a specialty of Penglai Island, and transformed them into a ball of essence. He raised his hand and shot it into the mud ball. Nuwa smiled and waved her wrist. The mud ball stirred and finally transformed into a human figure, with delicate features, and looked to be about twelve or thirteen years old.

Xuan Tian poured his true spirit into it, then took out a bead, crushed it with his bare hands, and the bead turned into a ball of essence, which Xuan Tian then cast into the human form. At first, the human form in the air was blurry for a moment, then its brows furrowed slightly. After a while, the person opened its eyes, saw Xuan Tian and Nuwa in front of it, and hurriedly bowed down, saying, "Lingzhuzi greets the Empress and the Sage Xuan Tian."

This person is Lingzhuzi, who was originally Nezha. Now, he has been restored to his original form by Xuantian and has also received Xuantian's help. Once he has absorbed all the essence of the spirit pearl in his body, his cultivation will reach the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm.

There's a certain logic to this matter. After discussing it with Nuwa, Xuantian devised a plan to make Laozi and Yuanshi owe him a favor by agreeing to sabotage the fortunes of the Shang Dynasty so that they could initiate the Investiture of the Gods. However, Yuanshi was cunning and didn't believe Nuwa's words, fearing she might cause trouble. So he proposed that Lingzhuzi become a disciple of Taiyi Zhenren. His reasoning was that when Nuwa became a saint, Taiyi was sent to congratulate her. When Lingzhuzi was behind Nuwa, he was essentially receiving Taiyi Zhenren's worship as well. It was fine for Taiyi Zhenren to worship Nuwa, but it was wrong for him to worship a mere child like Lingzhuzi. This created a karmic debt, so Yuanshi demanded that Lingzhuzi be reincarnated and become a disciple of Taiyi Zhenren. In this way, Yuanshi essentially brought Nuwa into the picture and formed an alliance.

Nuwa was very angry. Lingzhu had followed her for so many years and was quite fond of her, almost treating her as her own disciple. Yuanshi forced Lingzhu to reincarnate and even made him take his disciple as his master, which really angered Nuwa. "Aren't you just making yourself superior to me for no reason?"

However, Xuantian did manage to get Nuwa to agree. At that time, Nuwa was allied with Xuantian and would follow his arrangements in everything. Since Xuantian had made the decision, Nuwa had no choice but to agree.

Xuantian's purpose was simple: he knew that Nezha would cause some trouble after his birth, so he had to make arrangements. Yuanshi had his own plans, and he couldn't be without them either. So everything remained the same, only the process was slightly different.

Originally, it was nothing unusual for Taiyi Zhenren to accept Lingzhuzi as his disciple. Yuanshi should have believed that Nuwa wouldn't cause him any trouble, but he still didn't. It wasn't that he didn't trust Nuwa, but rather he didn't trust Xuantian. Nuwa had been getting too close to Xuantian these days, which made the other sages notice something. But Xuantian had always been close to Nuwa, uh... because of their appearances. You could say that among the seven sages, Laozi and Jieyin both had the appearance of old men. I don't know what they were thinking, but that's how they looked. Yuanshi looked like a middle-aged man, and Zhunti had the appearance of a treacherous person, also looking like a middle-aged man. Tongtian was relatively young, only around thirty years old. The best among them was Xuantian, who was just over thirty and looked mature and handsome. Nuwa, being a woman, naturally wouldn't transform into an old woman like Laozi, and since she wasn't married, well... a Daoist partner, she naturally couldn't transform into a mature woman. Nuwa transformed into the appearance of a young woman. Among the sages, only Xuantian and Tongtian were close to her age. Tongtian was sexually frigid and had no interest in that area, so he wasn't very familiar with Nuwa. Xuantian, on the other hand, had previously harbored designs on Nuwa, but he stopped doing so after maturing, though his relationship with Nuwa remained good.

Originally, their close relationship wasn't a problem, but recently, with the Investiture of the Gods at stake, Yuanshi was uneasy. Moreover, he wasn't wrong; Xuantian had indeed allied with Nuwa, though Yuanshi was unaware of it. Yuanshi devised a plan: to send Nezha to cause trouble in the East Sea. Firstly, the Four Seas were under Xuantian's control, and Nezha was a servant in Nuwa's palace; this would sow discord between the two. Secondly, Yuanshi also intended to extend his reach into the Four Seas; they were far too powerful for him to resist. Therefore, he decided to send Nezha to probe their territory first.

However, Xuan Tian was not someone to be trifled with. Moreover, he was well-versed in history and naturally knew that Nezha would cause trouble in the sea. After some scheming, Xuan Tian increased the cultivation of the originally damned Ao Bing, and made the East Sea act differently. Finally, he even dumped the trouble on the Heavenly Court. In any case, nominally, the Four Seas belonged to the Heavenly Court, and the Four Seas Dragon Clan had been diligently taking care of the human race for many years and had accumulated a lot of merit. Whether for face or for morality, Hao Tian had to confront Yuan Shi. Next, Yuan Shi was busy scheming against Hao Tian and had no time to deal with the Four Seas Dragon Clan.

And things unfolded exactly as he predicted. The Dragon Clan dumped the trouble on Haotian, and Haotian and the Chan Sect had no choice but to confront each other for the sake of their own reputations, which made Xuantian secretly laugh. As for Nezha, the greatest contributor, Xuantian arranged a way out for him afterward, which was much better than following Taiyi Zhenren. He had been given a lotus child body, and his cultivation could not increase for the rest of his life. Now that the Spirit Pearl had returned to its original state and had experienced death once, it would be of great benefit to his future progress in cultivation.

The final result of this matter was that Haotian and Yuanshi clashed.

Thirty-five. Jiang Ziya descends the mountain, and Xiqi rebels against the Shang.

After leaving the Heavenly Court, Taiyi Zhenren indeed came to Kunlun and found Yuanshi Tianzun. He reported the situation to Yuanshi Tianzun, who was furious. Haotian had really embarrassed him in this matter. In addition to the incident at the last Peach Banquet, he decided to settle old scores and new scores together and was determined to scheme against Haotian. At the same time, Yuanshi was even more angry because he had lost a round in this game with Xuantian.
