Nezha stood up, looked at the water, and laughed, "What a huge flood!" A water beast appeared in the waves, upon which sat a general, tall and handsome, with a sharp and valiant air. The general asked, "Who killed my patrolling sea demon, Li Gen?" Nezha replied, "It was me!" Ao Bing, seeing that this person was just a child, dared not be negligent and asked again, "Who are you? And why did you hurt my demon?" Nezha answered, "I am Nezha, the third son of Li Jing of Chen Tang Pass. My father guards this place and is the lord of this town; I was here to escape the summer heat and bathe, it has nothing to do with him. He came to attack me, so it doesn't matter if I killed him."
Ao Bing recognized Li Jing and cursed inwardly, "My Dragon Clan is in charge of the rains of the primordial land, protecting all people and ensuring good weather and abundant harvests. We have accumulated great merit, and even a Yaksha from my Water Clan cannot be killed at will by immortals. Yet, I was injured by this child before me. It's truly a mess! The Sea Patrol Yaksha Li Gen died unjustly." He pondered, "Although this child is unruly, he happens to be the son of Li Jing from Chen Tang Pass. Li Jing is a disciple of the True Man Du'e (I think it's Ran Deng), and his cultivation is extremely high, no less than mine. I cannot disrespect him and kill this child at will."
Thinking of this, Ao Bing put away his halberd, jumped off the water beast, and grabbed Nezha empty-handed, thinking to himself, "He's just a naughty child, what real skills could he possibly have?" He cursed, "You wretched creature, Yaksha Li Gen, is a palace guard appointed by the Heavenly King. You dared to kill him, which is already a violation of the Heavenly Law. How dare you still spout nonsense? If it weren't for the fact that your father and my father are of the same generation and have a sworn brotherhood, I would have stabbed you to death with my halberd long ago."
Nezha was taken aback upon hearing this, and seeing Ao Bing's fierce approach, he lowered his head and ducked past, saying, "Wait a minute! Who are you? And who is your father? State your name! I have something to say." Ao Bing replied, "I am Ao Bing, the Third Prince of the Dragon King of the East Sea." Nezha laughed, "You are the son of Ao Guang of the East Sea. You and your father are arrogant and presumptuous. You think my father is so powerful? How could you, a mere creature, have the great fortune to know my father? Don't try to claim any connection. If you anger me, I'll even bring out your old mudfish and skin him alive."
Ao Bing was furious. "You naughty child, you are truly unreasonable! I'm so angry! I'll capture you and take you to your father to reason with him!" He then reached out to grab Nezha.
Nezha panicked, unfurling his seven-foot-long Hun Tian Ling (a magical ribbon) into the air, which resembled a thousand balls of fire. He swept it down, completely enveloping the Third Prince. Nezha was about to rush forward when Ao Bing suddenly shook himself, transforming into a wisp of smoke and escaping. Nezha quickly summoned his Qiankun Ring (a magical ring) and struck at Ao Bing's head. Ao Bing knew Nezha's magical power was not high, but his treasure was extraordinary, already at the level of a post-natal spiritual treasure. Not daring to be careless, he quickly summoned his halberd, drawing it into the air and striking, accurately using a small branch on the halberd to lock the Qiankun Ring. He then stepped forward again, reversed the halberd, and gently struck Nezha, knocking him to the ground. Before Nezha could get up, Ao Bing grabbed him by the neck, lifted him onto his lap, and was about to swing his halberd a few times as punishment when he saw that Nezha was still just a child, with delicate skin and tender flesh. Thinking to himself, "He's just a child, and we're of the same generation. If I hurt him, it won't be a good joke." So he dropped the halberd, made a fist with his fingers, and smacked Nezha's fleshy bottom, cursing, "You brat! So young and already so rude! Who knows what trouble you'll cause when you grow up? Today, I, the Crown Prince, will teach you a lesson on behalf of Uncle Li Jing!"
Nezha, who had been favored by Lady Yin since childhood, was unwilling to endure such a humiliation. He struggled fiercely, but Ao Bing, having received guidance from his ancestor and reached the Celestial Immortal realm, was also valued by his clan and was being groomed as a key talent, resulting in rapid advancement in his magical power. Not to mention that Nezha had not yet received the true teachings of Taiyi Zhenren, was small and weak, and possessed only the meager supernatural abilities he inherited from his previous life. Even if he were to return after studying under Taiyi Zhenren, it was not certain that he would be able to replicate Ao Bing's skills.
Since he couldn't win a fight or escape, Nezha could only resort to verbal attacks, threatening, "I am a direct disciple of the Golden Immortal Taiyi Zhenren of the Chan Sect. If you hit me today, I will surely report to my master and ensure the extinction of your entire dragon clan!" Ao Bing was furious upon hearing this and sneered, "If you hadn't mentioned the Chan Sect, I would have beaten you less. But since you mentioned it, I'll have to beat you for a while longer. Our clan is a great clan of the prehistoric world, and even the Jade Emperor has to show us respect. Our ancestor, Huanglong Zhenren, was a disciple of the Chan Sect. If you're going to accept him, you shouldn't have treated him so poorly. There's not a single good person in the Chan Sect. They've always discriminated against our clan and often come to our East Sea to covet our clan's treasures. Do they really think our clan has no capable people? You, you scoundrel, have learned nothing good but plenty of bad things. You truly deserve a beating."
The Chan Sect was indeed envious of the wealth of the East Sea. The Primordial Continent was vast, and the sea beyond it was even more expansive, with even more natural treasures. The Dragon Clan controlled the four seas and was extremely wealthy. However, under the protection of Penglai Island, they could not openly ask for things, and sometimes they would try to find some excuses to go and make a quick buck.
Then he gave Nezha a good beating, until Nezha cried out in pain.
Meanwhile, Nezha was captured by Ao Bing, and after a fierce beating, the family retainers who came with Nezha did not dare to stop him, but could only watch Nezha being beaten with growing anxiety.
Fortunately, Ao Bing didn't really intend to do anything to him. He just treated him as an ignorant child. After hitting him a few times, he threw Nezha to the guards and said, "This child is unruly. I will discipline him for Li Jing. When we get back, I'll have Li Jing discipline him properly so that he doesn't cause any more trouble."
The generals quickly nodded in agreement and left with Nezha. Ao Bing, seeing them leave, also led his troops back to the Dragon Palace.
Lady Yin was anxious because Nezha had been gone for a long time. When Nezha returned home, she quickly pulled him aside and asked, "My child, why have you been gone for so long?"
Despite his childlike nature, Nezha was unwilling to lose face in front of others. On his way home, he had already instructed his servants not to tell anyone about the matter, not even his parents. When Lady Yin asked about it, Nezha refused to say anything, only saying, "I was playing outside and I'm a little tired. I want to go back and rest." After saying that, he broke free from Lady Yin and left.
