Re-establishing the Heavenly Court

When Zhunti saw Tongtian scolding him, he thought to himself, "I respect you as one of the Three Pure Ones, and I speak to you politely, yet you still scold me. Am I not a saint myself?" He was furious and said, "Tongtian, the innate spiritual treasure belongs to the virtuous. Your Jie Sect has many scoundrels and lacks virtue. As the leader of the Jie Sect, you must not be a very good teacher. How can you obtain this innate spiritual treasure?"

When Tongtian heard Zhunti say this, he became even angrier. Although the situation of his Jie Sect was indeed like this, it was not appropriate for an outsider like Zhunti to say it, especially in front of so many other people. He was disrespecting Zhunti. Fine, let's have a fight.

"You scoundrel Zhunti, you are truly unworthy of being called a son! I am one of the Three Pure Ones, transformed from the primordial spirit of Pangu. I possess great virtue, and I am not as you say. You have insulted the Three Pure Ones. Today, I will teach you a lesson." Tongtian was no simple man either. Knowing that Zhunti had Jieyin's help, he knew that he was probably no match for him alone. He also did not want to use the Zhuxian Sword Formation casually, so he pulled the main force and dragged Yuanshi into the matter under the pretext of the Three Pure Ones.

When Yuanshi saw that Zhunti and Tongtian were at odds, he thought it was a good thing that they were fighting, as he could take the opportunity to seize the treasure. However, Tongtian brought up the Three Pure Ones as a pretext. Zhunti had only mentioned Tongtian, but Tongtian was no ordinary person. By dragging the Three Pure Ones into the conversation, even if Yuanshi didn't want to help, he had to consider the reputation of the Three Pure Ones. Helpless, Yuanshi could only secretly resent Tongtian.

Chapter 41: Seizing the Kongtong Seal (Part 2)

When Zhunti saw that Tongtian had dragged the Three Pure Ones into this, he immediately sensed something was wrong. Yuanshi said, "Zhunti, the Three Pure Ones are transformed from the primordial spirit of Pangu. We are of the same blood and spirit. You have insulted the Three Pure Ones, so we will not let you off the hook!"

As expected, Yuanshi, out of consideration for being one of the Three Pure Ones, had no choice but to help Tongtian.

Just as Tongtian was preparing to fight Zhunti, a song drifted from the horizon:

"The eight scenic spots are created for the guests in the palace, who have forgotten the tens of thousands of years in the human world."

I seek out enlightened teachers beyond the realm of the mysterious and the primordial; in the chaotic times, I am free to act as I please.

The Five Elements are in my grasp, and the Great Dao guides all those lost in confusion.

In tranquility, I built a golden pagoda; in leisure, I once ventured beyond the Guanzhong Plain.

With both hands, one can encompass the heavens and the earth; with one's belly, one can comfortably hold the five sacred mountains and Mount Sumeru.

Born of nature and old age, he was born with the form of Li and thus acquired his name.

He once worshipped Hongjun to cultivate morality, only then did he realize that one breath could transform into the Three Pure Ones.

It was the arrival of the sage Laozi. Upon seeing Laozi, Yuanshi and Tongtian bowed to him and said, "Greetings, Senior Brother."

Zhunti and Jieyin also bowed and said, "Greetings, Senior Brother." Only Nuwa remained silent.

Lao Tzu said, "All of you sages are sages. How can you be so petty and calculating?" Since Lao Tzu was the head of all the sages, they could not say anything.

After Lao Tzu finished speaking, he found a place to sit down and closed his eyes to rest.

Just as the saints were about to sit down, someone from the horizon came singing:

"I was born from the chaos of time, when Pangu created the world."

The Taoist priest in the Purple Palace, I am the most respected before the Three Pure Ones.

I guided Nuwa in creating humans, and the underworld was born from my hands.

The merit of mending the sky and saving the world is great, and it also saves the lives of hundreds of millions of the dead.

Ignore the affairs of the world outside the window, and cultivate myself on Penglai Island.

With all the great principles in my heart, I stand alone, protecting the profound sect. (This is my own creation; my skill is limited, so please feel free to offer suggestions.)

It was Pangu Xuantian Saint who arrived. Seeing that everyone was composing a song, Xuantian, being a saint himself, couldn't fall behind.

When the saints saw Xuantian arrive, they stepped forward to pay their respects. The Three Pure Ones, however, were somewhat resistant to Xuantian's song, so after exchanging greetings, they went about their own business. The two Western Saints, because of Xuantian's previous Buddhist teachings, were very respectful to him. Nuwa, on the other hand, was on good terms with Xuantian, smiling and talking to him.

Just then, the magical treasure was born. Five-colored golden light shot into the sky, the mountains and rivers trembled violently, and a large seal slowly rose from the ground, with the two characters "Kongtong" engraved on it.

As soon as the seal was born, it was about to fly away on its own. How could the saints let it go? They all took action to freeze it. No one immediately tried to seize it. The other saints present were furious, but they knew that whoever made the first move would be attacked by the saints.

Finally, Lao Tzu spoke first, "This treasure belongs to our Humanity and should belong to us." How could the sages not understand the origin of this treasure? Although the Heavenly Secrets had become chaotic due to Xuan Tian's actions, when the magic treasure was first created, the sages still calculated that it was formed from the fortune and merit of the human race under the operation of the Heavenly Dao. Lao Tzu's words were not wrong, but which sage was willing to give it up?

"Senior Brother, you are mistaken. This treasure is a supreme treasure of the human race, not an object of the Human Religion." The saints remained silent, watching as the treasure was about to fall into Laozi's hands. Zhunti quickly jumped out. The West is barren, and it is unknown how long it will take for the Western Religion to flourish. Zhunti and Jieyin have also borrowed money from the Heavenly Dao. If they want to repay the loan, they will have to work hard to win it back.

“That’s right,” Jieyin chimed in. “The human race is now divided into two parts: Wuzhuang Temple and Shouyang Mountain. Under Xuantian’s deliberate arrangement, the human race has been further dispersed by Huixin and Zhen, and has never been unified.”

Yuanshi Tianzun and Tongtian also desired the Kongtong Seal, but out of respect for the reputation of the Three Pure Ones, they refrained from openly competing and remained silent. Nuwa, of course, watched the spectacle from the sidelines. Xuantian, however, maintained an air of indifference.

Laozi looked at the assembled sages and, finding even his own two brothers refusing to help him, felt a surge of anger. He roared, "I establish the Human Religion; all things belonging to the human race naturally belong to me!" He tossed the Taiji Diagram towards the Kongtong Seal. Laozi's action naturally drew the attention of the other sages. They were willing to give the Kongtong Seal to anyone, but not to Laozi. They weren't afraid that Xuantian and Nuwa wouldn't establish a major sect. Laozi's Human Religion, along with Nuwa and Xuantian, already controlled a large portion of the human race's fortune. If they also obtained the Kongtong Seal, the other sages would likely be unable to intervene in human affairs.
