Out of sheer curiosity, I reached out to the ghostly soldiers, only to find that my hand passed right through their chests, as if they were all phantoms.

Some who didn't believe in the superstition even charged directly at the ghostly soldiers, but they all passed right through them and couldn't touch them at all.

I was even more confused, so I just looked at the two spheres of energy. I knew it must have been them.

Thinking about it, I realized that's why those two energies weren't worried about me getting hurt. But what exactly was going on? Suddenly, another thought popped into my head: could it be that they brought my soul here to let me experience past events and wanted to tell me something? With that thought, I seemed to have some answers. I was now certain that my parents were definitely involved in this war in the ghost realm.

Before I could even finish thinking, the two energies started moving again, and this time their target seemed to be me. They completely surrounded me and began to rotate in a very strange trajectory.

Gradually, I found myself floating up from the ground, standing directly in mid-air in this desert.

The sudden situation left me somewhat bewildered, but I dared not move rashly, because I felt they didn't seem to have any ill intentions, as if they were about to do something.

My body flew higher and higher, and I could see farther and farther, but I could not see the end of these two piles of ghostly soldiers. From my current angle, all I could see was an endless line of black ghostly soldiers that had turned this desert black.

The more I saw it, the more astonished I became. The scale of this war was far more vivid than what I saw in a movie. A chilling aura rose directly from the ground, as if it had become a tangible fog.

At this moment, the two energies had detached from my body and were hovering above my head, but for some reason I still did not fall down, as if an unknown force was holding me up in the air.

I still don't understand what they want to do, but that menacing aura gives me a strange feeling.

Suddenly, a fierce gust of wind blew out from above my head. I quickly looked up and found that the two energies had merged into one, transforming into a huge black magic circle.

At that moment, I was lifted up by a force and placed directly in the center of the black magic circle.

What is this? I was instantly panicked. The magic circle was covered with words I didn't recognize, and black vortexes were constantly swirling around it.

Just as I was wondering, a huge black hole suddenly formed from the bottom of the magic circle, like a gaping maw.

I stared straight at the opening, a sudden sense of unease creeping into my heart. Then I suddenly saw that the opening really did resemble a giant mouth, sucking downwards with a sudden force.

Then I saw something I will never forget in my life: the densely packed Yin soldiers below had all turned into wisps of black mist and were coming toward the cave entrance.

I looked very closely, and those ghostly soldiers seemed to have their souls scattered. Their bodies exploded and then merged back into a black thread. However, the black energy varied in size, with some as thick as an arm and others as thin as a hair.

These black wisps, along with the malevolent energy floating on the ground, slowly drifted towards the black hole, as if they were about to be devoured by it.

I stared wide-eyed down below. The densely packed Yin soldiers had vanished in no time, turning into black threads that slowly drifted toward the black hole.

I was even more stunned. This black hole was incredibly voracious; it could still devour everything. After a while, all the ghostly soldiers in my sight had completely disappeared, and the originally dark ground had returned to its original pale white color.

Chapter 72 No End in Sight

But it wasn't over yet. Large amounts of black mist were still drifting towards me from outside my sight, seemingly endless.

I was not only shocked by the scale of this war, but also puzzled about what the black hole was trying to do. Moreover, I had no idea what this magic array was supposed to do, so I felt a little flustered.

They saw endless wisps of black gas in the sky drifting towards the black hole, like all streams flowing into the sea, with no end in sight.

I felt uneasy sitting on that magic circle, but there was nothing I could do but wait and see what would happen next.

After a long time, I finally saw from the sky that the black silk no longer drifted over from the end of my line of sight. It was as if all the ghost soldiers had turned into that black silk. At this moment, I was extremely nervous and had no idea what would happen next.

As the last wisp of black silk slowly disappeared into the black hole, the entire world seemed to return to normal.

Even the moon in the sky had lost its blood-red hue, emitting a faint, pure white moonlight that shone on the desert sands, casting a pale glow. If I weren't so anxious, like an ant on a hot pan, I might have been tempted to admire this beautiful scene.

After swallowing all the black threads that the Yin soldiers had transformed into, the black hole suddenly closed up, as if it had never existed.

Just as I was wondering what was going on, I suddenly realized that the entire sky and earth were cracking, as if the whole space was about to split open.

Everything was disappearing, as if they were destroying evidence. Thinking this made me even more panicked.

Just as my space was about to shatter, I involuntarily closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I found myself in a somewhat familiar place.
