Strange occurrences in the tomb! (Edited)

He had reached the main chamber of the tomb, but he never expected that it would be a miniature chapel. However, if it were just a chapel, Sister Bai wouldn't be so surprised, because she saw a man in a tuxedo kneeling before an A-frame, as if in prayer.

He must have heard Bai Jie come down, but he remained kneeling. Bai Jie approached him, observing the small chapel as she looked around. After examining it, and recalling the scale of the tomb, Bai Jie couldn't help but mutter to herself:

"Wow, they're so rich!"

Sister Bai finally reached the man behind her. In front of him lay a Western-style coffin. However, the coffin lid was open, and the white cloth inside was covered with dried, blackened bloodstains, and even fragments of human flesh were inside!

The man who had been facing away from Sister Bai finally finished his prayer and began to slowly turn around. Sister Bai remained vigilant, and an array was set up around the man!

As the man turned his head, Sister Bai's formation was just completed. As he expected, the person kneeling before the cross wasn't human at all; his face had no skin, only layers of blackened flesh. Even his features now appeared as if they were piled up together!

Compared to those two corpse demons, this one is simply a disgrace to the general public, both at home and abroad!

"Formation, activate!"

With a loud shout, Sister Bai unleashed a series of talismans that surrounded the dried corpse! The innermost layer was a Soul-Suppressing Talisman, and the outermost layer was a Soul-Splitting Talisman drawn with black dog blood, blocking its path!

But the corpse demon seemed utterly unfazed, and ordinary soul-suppressing talismans had no effect on it whatsoever. The innermost layer of the soul-suppressing talisman was torn apart, and only the soul-splitting talisman managed to stop its ferocious advance. But even that paused for only a moment, and all the soul-splitting talismans that Sister Bai was holding onto fell to the ground!

"You...you're asking for it!"

The formation was broken in the blink of an eye!

Chapter 91 The Undead Corpse!

Sister Bai's figure quickly retreated, she had not expected the corpse demon in front of her to be so ferocious!

The inner and outer array circles were both offensive and defensive, but unexpectedly they were still broken in just a few seconds. Sister Bai thought that the corpse demon in front of her was even more ferocious than the two in the museum combined!

"How could such a ferocious thing appear here? These damned archaeologists, digging up artifacts is one thing, but digging up this monster is just asking for trouble!"

Bai Jie was incredibly frustrated, but there was no use in being frustrated now. As she retreated rapidly, she was already thinking of a solution. This corpse demon had likely been dormant underground for a much longer time, but it couldn't possibly have exceeded two hundred years. However, judging from Bai Jie's assessment, this corpse demon had at least three hundred years, almost four hundred years, of cultivation!

"With my magical power, I cast the Demon-Subduing Spell, activating the force of attraction. I subdue demons, seal their souls, and stir up the universe!"

Sister Bai's hands moved rapidly, forming hand seals. Under her guidance, the Demon-Sealing Spell and the Guiding Spell seemed to create an extraordinary magical circle. This was Sister Bai's first true combination of the Demon-Sealing Spell and the Guiding Spell, a technique she called—Evil Guidance!

Based on the evil spirit itself, both the demon-capturing and the pull spells inherently possess a controlling nature. The fusion of these two spells achieves maximum control!

The evil spell was activated, and the disfigured corpse demon finally stopped moving. One second, two seconds, three seconds passed without movement, and then Sister Bai's purple-gold peach wood sword pierced straight into its heart!

Immediately afterward, the Soul-Splitting Talismans drawn with black dog blood were pressed tightly against his surroundings. Sister Bai knew how powerful this kind of evil spirit was, so she never even considered dealing with it slowly.

As the purple-gold peach wood sword and the Soul-Splitting Talisman in her hand began to destroy the corpse of the Corpse Fiend, Sister Bai unleashed her strongest talisman to date—Soul Extinction!

With her soul-destroying technique, she destroyed the corpse's head, and with her purple-gold sword, she destroyed its heart. Bai Jie sealed off the two most important parts of the corpse demon. Even if it was a true corpse demon with three hundred years of cultivation, Bai Jie believed that it had no chance of survival!

The corpse demon's body was indeed slowly melting, but only its feet were melting when an anxious voice came from behind Sister Bai:

"His body can regenerate!"

Sister Bai subconsciously turned around and saw a man behind her. The man looked to be around fifty years old, covered in blood, and constantly pinching his nose.

Looking at the corpse demon again, its previously dissolved feet reappeared. However, it was still in excruciating pain; this must be the effect of the Soul-Destroying Talisman!

After Bai Jie realized something was wrong, she immediately drew her Purple Gold Sword and then slashed the Corpse Fiend's most vulnerable part, its waist, in one stroke!

In an instant, the corpse demon's upper and lower body were split in two, but even so, his body was still slowly recovering.

Bai Jie was at a loss for words to explain this situation. Looking at the Soul-Destroying Talisman above the Corpse Fiend's head, it was now completely devoid of spiritual power, yet the Corpse Fiend's eyes remained fixed on her. The only difference was that his gaze was now like that of a dead fish, devoid of any trace of soul power!

Unlike claw spirits, corpse demons retain a wisp of their soul within their bodies. Although the Soul-Destroying Talisman scattered their souls, the corpse demon still appeared to be alive, as its body was still regenerating!

"Run, fellow Daoist! Run up here and fill this place up. There are dozens of meters of earth below ground, and then we can have road rollers run over this place every day. Even a god wouldn't be able to escape!"

The man approached and spoke urgently to Sister Bai, but Sister Bai was unwilling to give up. There had never been an evil spirit she couldn't destroy, and she would never desert!
