That moment (revised)

"Okay, then you should tell the funeral home to postpone the cremation until tomorrow. I need to see if anything comes out tonight."

As soon as Sister Bai finished speaking, Su Mo felt the temperature around her drop even further. She instinctively moved closer to Sister Bai and forced a dry laugh, "Brother Bai, we're not going to stay here forever, are we?"

"So you really like it here? If you do, we can take a walk around," Sister Bai said with a forced smile, making Su Mo's red lips almost purse. She really didn't want to stay here any longer, and shook Sister Bai's arm in a somewhat ingratiating manner, saying, "Brother Bai, let's go back. Didn't you say you had work to do tonight?"

"Alright then, let's go home first, and you can come back with me tonight."

"Okay!"

After Sister Bai and Su Mo left the morgue, Brigade Commander He breathed a sigh of relief. It wasn't that Sister Bai disliked seeing Brigade Commander He; he disliked seeing Sister Bai too. Firstly, it was always about people dying or causing trouble; secondly, and most infuriatingly, he, a brigade commander, was constantly being treated like a subordinate by Sister Bai. For the safety of the people, Brigade Commander He had no choice but to endure it!

The three of them left the funeral home together. After dropping Sister Bai off at her doorstep, Commander He left without lingering. Sister Bai didn't try to stop him either, since she didn't need Commander He to stay with her that night.

After resting at home for an hour or so, Sister Bai began preparing for the evening.

Chapter 105 Words Come From the Mouth!

Chapter 106 Corpse Blood Gu!

Hu Dongwei was completely terrified as he watched the tiny, palm-sized thing crawling towards him step by step.

Even Su Mo stayed close to Sister Bai. Sister Bai didn't rush to move, but watched the tiny figure slowly move. It wasn't fast; if Hu Dongwei suddenly reacted and ran, it wouldn't be able to catch up at its current speed.

Hu Dongwei seemed too frightened to move, so Sister Bai shouted, "Run over here!"

Hu Dongwei was finally brought back to his senses by the shout and hurriedly got up and ran towards Sister Bai. But as soon as he ran, the little figure also sped up. It was as if its movement was entirely determined by Hu Dongwei.

But its blurry little face gave off an extremely greedy feeling.

Hu Dongwei ran while constantly looking back, so anxious he almost wanted to pounce on Sister Bai. But even then, Sister Bai didn't make a move. Instead, she said to Xiao Zhen, "Xiao Zhen, go and see how strong that little thing is."

Xiao Zhen said "okay" and floated out of the ring. She rolled up the sleeves of her long dress, and the little thing was immediately wrapped up by Xiao Zhen, and kept tightening.

"Chirp chirp... Chirp chirp chirp...!"

The little creature kept screaming, a sound that sent chills down one's spine. However, it seemed to still be under Xiao Zhen's control, though as the little creature struggled more fiercely, Xiao Zhen's delicate eyebrows slowly furrowed.

"Brother Bai, its abilities seem to be getting stronger and stronger. It seems to change a little bit every second. What should I do?"

Xiao Zhen asked Sister Bai, who was both amused and exasperated, saying, "Use your own brain! What if I wasn't here?"

Xiao Zhen immediately felt embarrassed, thinking to herself, "You were here all along, humph... You didn't lift a finger, and you made me, a woman, do it!"

If Sister Bai knew what she was thinking, she'd probably cry foul. Xiao Zhen can't stay inside the ring all the time; moving around a bit more will do her a good job.

Xiao Zhen kept wrapping it tighter, but no one, including Sister Bai, expected that the little figure actually had a set of sharp teeth. With constant gnawing inside, it finally tore through the cloth!

This caused Xiao Zhen's expression to change drastically, but the little figure seemed to have only one target: Hu Dongwei. It had no idea that Xiao Zhen was attacking it, or that it intended to defeat her. Hu Dongwei also noticed this, his face turning pale and beads of sweat forming on his brow.

"Help me, help me!" Hu Dongwei said instinctively, looking at Sister Bai. Sister Bai calmly replied, "Xiao Zhen will save you!"

Hearing Bai Jie's words, Xiao Zhen felt a sense of unease. She couldn't let Bai Jie down. That Su Mo was so good at pleasing Bai Jie's brother, and she sang so well and had such a great figure. "I can definitely help Bai Jie's brother. I'll take this little thing in!"

When a woman gets angry, she can be incredibly fierce. Xiao Zhen used her claw-like power to pull up the white sheet used to cushion the corpse inside the cabinet. After wrapping the little thing up again, she knew very well that her strength wouldn't be enough to kill it. So she had to think of something, and sure enough, an idea suddenly struck her.

Evil spirits can only survive in dark and bloody environments, so even Xiao Zhen is afraid of fire and sunlight. When she saw a lighter in Hu Dongwei's shirt pocket, Xiao Zhen immediately pulled it out.

Using a lighter, Xiao Zhen lit the white cloth wrapped around the little figure. After finally getting the cloth on fire, she quickly retreated.

The trapped little figure screamed in agony once more, this time even more agonizingly than before. However, Xiao Zhen breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed the fire attack had worked.

As the fire grew stronger, the screams gradually subsided. Xiao Zhen disliked fire, but she endured it until the cloth burned completely. Once it was finished, Xiao Zhen waved her hand. It was as if a gust of wind had blown, scattering the flames.

The little figure was nowhere to be seen inside; only a clump of gray ashes and a crumpled red object remained. That object was the little figure from before, now curled up and dead!
