After the Investiture of the Gods, Lu Ya was affected by the power of the Great Tribulation, but he was forced to enter the mortal world to settle his karma. Unexpectedly, he encountered the reborn Cang Jie halfway through. Enemies meeting again, their eyes were filled with hatred. Lu Ya could not defeat Xuan Tian, but he wanted to kill Xuan Tian's disciple to avenge himself. However, this idea fell into Xuan Tian's trap. Cang Jie used the Immortal-Slaying Flying Knife in Lu Ya's hand to cut off the evil corpse, thus resolving the karma of killing his father. Lu Ya himself understood this karma. It turned out that he had acted first, and the karma naturally fell on Lu Ya and Cang Jie. Although Cang Jie used this to cut off the corpse, he also took over the karma between Lu Ya and Xuan Tian. This karma was thus settled.

Seeing that Dipankara Buddha was looking at him, Mahavairocana Buddha nodded and said, "The people of Penglai Island are ignorant of the times and do not understand the Great Way. Our Buddhist sect is following the will of Heaven and doing good deeds, which is the right thing to do."
The Buddha was overjoyed. This was to avenge this grudge. Of the five quasi-saints in Buddhism, he had only sent these two. Fifty-four demons obstruct the Buddhist gate; a conflict between faith and national affairs.
Just as he was about to summon his troops to take action, a Buddhist disciple rushed in to report. The Buddha asked, "What's the matter that you're in such a panic?"
The Buddhist disciple glanced fearfully at the Tathagata, then at the Dipankara Buddha and the Vairocana Buddha present, and dared not speak.
Buddha frowned and said, "Speak quickly."
The Buddhist disciple nervously reported, "Reporting to the Buddha Tathagata, a group of demons have gathered in Xiniu Hezhou. The six great demons, led by the Bull Demon King, have assembled on Mount Jilei and are causing a ruckus, claiming, 'Buddhist disciples have killed many of my demon race. Now that the demons have gathered, they intend to storm Mount Ling and drive Tathagata off the throne.'" After the Buddhist disciple finished speaking, he hurriedly bowed his head and dared not raise his head.
The Buddha was furious and said, "This is outrageous!"
Ran Deng suddenly looked up at the sky and said, "There seems to be something strange about this matter."
Upon hearing this, Tathagata suddenly came to his senses. After thinking for a moment, he understood. The Great Sun Tathagata Buddha beside him said angrily, "This Penglai Island is going too far."
Both Buddha and Dipankara were astute individuals, and they naturally understood that the events in Xiniu Hezhou were likely orchestrated by Penglai Island to obstruct the Buddhist sect's plans against Qin Qi.
This was arranged by Penglai Island. After Sun Wu learned that Qin Qi was fighting in Luoyi, he asked Xuan Tian. Xuan Tian told him to go to Xiniu Hezhou to find the Bull Demon King and have them gather a group of demons to block the Buddhist sect in Xiniu Hezhou. With these demons involved, Buddha dared not act rashly. Although he knew it was Penglai Island's arrangement, he couldn't help but admire their skill. By using this connection, they both cleared up the truth and kept Buddhism out of their home, allowing him to act without hindrance.
Although these monsters are not a significant threat, they still warrant caution. Considering the strength of Buddhism, with its numerous Buddhas and Arhats, among these monsters, only the Six Great Sages possess higher cultivation levels, all reaching the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm. In reality, they are essentially the same as the Arhats of Buddhism. This is not so frightening, even though the forces behind the Six Great Sages are considerable.
