After a long while, the two recovered. Amitabha Buddha said, "Now that all the Buddhas have gathered and Hinayana Buddhism has emerged, receiving the fortune of Mahayana Buddhism, it is truly the time for Hinayana Buddhism to flourish, and also the time for Mahayana Buddhism to retire. Ksitigarbha, you and Maitreya Buddha were originally the most promising people in Mahayana Buddhism to attain Buddhahood. You shall remain in Hinayana Buddhism to assist Vairocana Buddha." At this moment, a Bodhisattva sitting at the very front stepped forward and said, "I obey the Buddha's will." It was Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the most promising person in Mahayana Buddhism to attain Buddhahood.
Amitabha Buddha also conjured a lotus platform, but it was a 12-petaled lotus platform with only nine petals after it was damaged. When the lotus platform was unfolded, three thousand cultivators appeared. They were the three thousand Jie Sect cultivators who had been forcibly brought to the Western Paradise by Amitabha Buddha.
These Jie Sect cultivators now had blank stares, clearly indicating that they had been restrained.
Amitabha Buddha pointed at these cultivators and said to Shakyamuni, "These people were originally immortals of the Jie Sect, whom I brought to the West. Now that Mahayana Buddhism has retreated into seclusion, these immortals will be converted by you to protect Hinayana Buddhism." Shakyamuni chanted a Buddhist prayer and said joyfully, "Amitabha Buddha, now that Hinayana Buddhism has just been established, it is precisely the time when we need manpower. Now that we have these three thousand immortals, we have nothing to fear from the Eastern Gate Daoist sect. Excellent, excellent." After saying this, he stretched out his hand, which transformed into a giant palm, which was the Buddhist secret technique "World in the Palm," and took all the immortals into his palm.
Seeing that Shakyamuni Buddha had taken in three thousand immortals, Amitabha Buddha laughed and said, "Now that the fortune of my Mahayana Buddhism is insufficient, and the twelve-petaled lotus platform that suppresses the fortune is damaged, it is time for my Mahayana Buddhism to retreat into seclusion." Saying this, he looked at the broken lotus platform in his hand and said angrily, "That damned mosquito, I wonder where it has hidden itself. What if it refines my lotus platform?" At this time, he did not know that the mosquito had already "gone west" (died).
At this moment, Zhunti's eyes darted around, and he said, "Senior brother, I just remembered something. If you could obtain this, not only could you repair the Twelve-Petaled Lotus Platform, but you could even upgrade it by one level." This concerned his own life; the Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus was the object of Amitabha Buddha's enlightenment. Even the usually composed Jieyin couldn't help but show a look of anxiety. Amitabha Buddha, upon hearing this, hurriedly asked, "Junior brother, what do you need?" Zhunti smiled and said, "Senior brother, you seem to have forgotten the origin of your Twelve-Petaled Lotus Platform. In the primordial chaos, a lotus flower was born, the Chaos Green Lotus, one of the supreme treasures of chaos. However, when Pangu created the world, the Chaos Green Lotus was damaged by the power of the Heaven-Opening Axe. The broken Chaos Green Lotus transformed into four lotus seeds, one each of green, red, black, and gold, which respectively hatched into the Twelve-Petaled Green Lotus Platform, the Twelve-Petaled Blood Lotus Platform, the Twelve-Petaled Black Lotus Platform, and the Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus Platform." "My senior brother obtained this twelve-petaled golden lotus, which enabled him to attain enlightenment and laid the foundation for the establishment of our Western Sect. This demonstrates the power of this lotus platform. In the primordial world, so many years have passed, and only golden lotus platforms and blood lotus platforms have ever appeared: the twelve-petaled golden lotus platform in my senior brother's possession and the twelve-petaled blood lotus platform held by the Styx Lord in the Netherworld Blood Sea. If my senior brother could obtain the twelve-petaled blood lotus platform and fuse these two lotus platforms into one, even if it cannot be restored to the Chaos Green Lotus, it would certainly be far superior to the twelve-petaled lotus platform."
Upon hearing this, Amitabha's eyes flashed with joy, and he said, "How could I have forgotten this?" Then he said with distress, "That Styx Ancestor is also a fellow Daoist who listened to the Dao at Zixiao Palace, yet now we are trying to forcibly seize his lotus platform. It's rather unethical. Moreover, I've heard that Styx has already refined the Blood Sea into his avatar. As long as the Blood Sea remains empty, Styx will be immortal and indestructible. Obtaining the Twelfth-Grade Blood Lotus Platform will not be easy." Although he said this, Jieyin was actually very eager to take action, but he just couldn't find an excuse for it.
Zhunti sneered, "Without attaining the Primordial Chaos Realm, one is ultimately an ant. That lotus platform was originally destined for you, Senior Brother, and should rightfully belong to you. Now that he has used it for hundreds of thousands of years, it should be returned to you." The Great Sun Tathagata also laughed, "The Underworld is the foundation of all living beings in the primordial world, yet that Styx Ancestor has always coveted it. The beings of the Netherworld Blood Sea are all demons and heretics. This time, for the safety of all living beings, we Buddhist disciples must also contend with them for this land." "The Underworld, seeking a safe haven for all living beings." Upon hearing this, Zhunti secretly thought to himself that he hadn't misjudged the situation; this little golden crow was no pushover either. He laughed and said, "Exactly. Guanyin Bodhisattva possesses great perseverance, reincarnating in the Underworld to cultivate for a hundred lifetimes in pursuit of enlightenment. However, the Styx River led a group of demons who defiled the Underworld, hindering Guanyin's reincarnation—a great calamity indeed. Although Buddha is compassionate, for the sake of all living beings, he should also display his demon-subduing skills."

At Biyou Palace, Tongtian asked, "What is your opinion on this matter concerning Buddhism, Senior Brother?"
Xuan Tian smiled but remained silent, pondering the reason for Tong Tian's question.
