Xingtian wields his axe and shield.

"My two junior brothers, please don't do this. I am not worthy of such courtesy," Xuan Tian said.

Jieyin said, "Senior brother, you are far superior to us. We deserve this respect for your guidance." Ignoring Xuantian's objections, the two bowed down directly.

Xuan Tian didn't know what to say. He watched them bow down. They were good people, just too honest. Perhaps he himself was too despicable.

After bowing, Zhunti said, "Brother, your cultivation is indeed profound, and your methods are very similar to ours. We should spend more time together."

Xuan Tian thought to himself: You people who want to establish Buddhism are a bunch of bald heads who chant scriptures and recite Buddhist mantras all day long. What's there to be close to? Besides, if you two want to establish Buddhism and set up a separate sect, I'm afraid we'll have to fight it out.

He then said, "We have gained much from this discussion of the Dharma. We need to retreat into seclusion for further cultivation, so it is time for us to take our leave."

Jieyin also said, "We are in the same boat, but we have not been able to entertain our senior brother. We hope that he will forgive us."

Zhunti chimed in, "Indeed, we'll talk to you again after we finish our seclusion."

Xuan Tian laughed and said, "Of course, of course. Then we'll take our leave."

He then left with his three disciples, while Jieyin and Zhunti went into seclusion.

Divide

That day, after the Peach Banquet, Yaochi gave Ting Haotian a thorough dressing-down, leaving him utterly humiliated.

Yaochi said, "How could you be so foolish? You're using your petty schemes on these saints; aren't you afraid of offending them?"

Haotian said bitterly, "I was indeed too hasty this time and did not think about this aspect in time." For this Peach Banquet, Haotian invited many great supernatural beings and other influential people from the prehistoric world, including the three human emperors. He originally intended to use those saints to support him, but who knew that it would cause trouble.

"Don't think I don't know what you're thinking. Several sages have divided up the Heavenly Court's power. If you want to gain a foothold, you should discuss it with me first. If you want to establish your authority in front of the great supernatural beings of the prehistoric world, you should also consider those sages. Now, I'm afraid your little scheme will no longer work. The sages understand your thoughts now, so things won't be so easy for you in the future," Yaochi said, frowning.

Haotian frowned, and said with a bitter expression, "Forget it, if they know, they know. From now on, we'll just behave ourselves. I don't think they'll dare to openly plot against us. After all, they were personally appointed by the Dao Ancestor. As long as we don't do anything excessive, we should be safe and sound."

Yaochi glared at him, knowing in her heart that this was the only way. She had already offended him, and there was no point in trying to make amends. So she decided to leave it at that for now.

Sixty-eight Kunlun Discourses (Part 1)

Meanwhile, Xuan Tian returned to Penglai Island with several disciples and went into seclusion again. Hui Xin and the others also went into seclusion.

Huixin and the others also benefited greatly from this debate. Originally, they were at the mid-stage of the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm, and with the merit of the Human Emperor's teachings, they could have severed their corpses if their cultivation hadn't been a little lacking. Huixin and Liaozhen benefited from this debate, their cultivation improved, and with the help of elixirs, they raised their cultivation to the peak of the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm in one fell swoop. After three years of seclusion, the two of them severed their corpses and achieved the cultivation of Quasi-Saints, becoming one of only three Quasi-Saints in the Daoist sect (Randeng, Huixin, and Liaozhen).

Cangjie also raised his cultivation to the level of a Great Luo Golden Immortal, which is quite an improvement.

Xuan Tian was overjoyed after emerging from seclusion. Now, the disciples of Penglai Island were in high esteem, with two of his three disciples being Quasi-Saints and the other being a Great Luo Golden Immortal (there was also a disciple named Chang'e, who was only at the Taiyi Loose Immortal level at the moment). Taking advantage of his happiness, he shared his insights from his seclusion with the people of Penglai Island.

A few days later, Xuan Tian was sitting on a futon in the Du Tian Hall when he suddenly opened his eyes and said to Shi Zhong beside him, "Go outside the island and bring in a Taoist priest in a green robe."

Shi Zhong went to fetch the person.
