"You scoundrel Xuantian, you spout sophistry and are morally bankrupt. I will not let this matter rest. Today, I will fight you and make you lose face." Laozi had never been so angry since the beginning of time. He immediately pulled out his white jade crutch and pretended to fight.
As a sage, Lao Tzu's angry shout was not low. Besides, there were many sages watching from the sidelines. Now, in front of so many people, Lao Tzu's outburst had completely humiliated Xuan Tian. This matter could not be resolved peacefully today.
Xuan Tian was also angered by Lao Tzu's words. "You old geezer, I give you three points and you want a foot. I won't let you know why the flowers are so red until I beat you until your teeth hurt."
Xuan Tian took out the Measuring Ruler and drew a line in the void, tearing open space and revealing the endless primordial starry sky. Xuan Tian said, "The conflict between you and me, the saints, will have too much of an impact. Let's fight in the primordial starry sky." Xuan Tian was afraid that the conflict between the saints would affect Penglai Island below, so he came to the primordial starry sky.
After Xuan Tian jumped in, Lao Zi followed. As soon as he entered, Lao Zi was met with a ruler that was attacking with boundless power. Xuan Tian thought to himself that it was best to strike first, and before Lao Zi could react, he slashed down with the ruler.
Laozi cursed inwardly, thinking it despicable. He slapped his head, revealing the Xuanhuang Exquisite Pagoda. Wisps of Xuanhuang energy descended, blocking the attack of the Measuring Ruler. Upon contact, the Xuanhuang Pagoda swayed violently. Laozi was even angrier. This Xuantian was too despicable. Since the beginning of the primordial world, most battles between people involved only tentative attacks. This Xuantian not only launched a sneak attack but also attacked with full force from the start. Laozi was unprepared. If it weren't for the Xuanhuang Pagoda's hard shell, Laozi would have lost face from Xuantian's sneak attack.
The other sages also watched. Yuanshi secretly cursed, "Despicable!" Tongtian sneered, while Jieyin of the West said, "Excellent!" Zhunti, enlightened by Xuantian's sneak attack, looked at him with reverence and exclaimed, "My path is not lonely!" Nuwa smiled inwardly.
Eighty Mysterious Heavens Battle Laozi (Part 2)
Xuan Tian pursed his lips when his sneak attack failed. Although he knew his move wouldn't be very effective, he still felt regretful, as the opportunity was too good to pass up. Since the sneak attack had failed, he withdrew his hand and stood aside.
Laozi, having just recovered from Xuantian's sneak attack and prepared to retaliate, saw Xuantian stop and stand aside. Puzzled, Laozi heard Xuantian say with a sigh, "Fellow Daoist, your tortoise shell is indeed formidable. I am truly impressed." These words enraged Laozi, who had just regained his composure, to the point that his three souls soared to the heavens and his seven spirits scattered. Even the sages who were secretly watching were amused by Xuantian's words.
Seizing the opportunity, Xuan Tian, an elite member of a gangster group in his previous life, naturally understood these principles. Seeing Laozi's anger, he immediately attacked. With a flash, his left hand slashed at Laozi with a foot-long blade, while his right hand held an additional object—the innate treasure, the Heaven and Earth Dust Brush—which he also used to brush towards Laozi.
The Measuring Ruler struck the Xuanhuang Pagoda, creating ripples. The Xuanhuang Pagoda successfully blocked the Measuring Ruler, but the Xuanhuang Qi was still greatly reduced. Then, the whisk swept towards the Xuanhuang Pagoda, enveloping the Xuanhuang Qi inside. The Measuring Ruler struck again, directly hitting the Xuanhuang Pagoda, making it teeter on the verge of collapse.
Although Lao Tzu, being a sage, was caught off guard by Xuan Tian's sneak attack, he managed to recover. Seeing that Xuan Tian was about to attack the Xuanhuang Pagoda again, he quickly used his flat cane to block the Measuring Ruler.
The flat cane struck the measuring ruler, producing a metallic clang. Laozi's cane was deflected, and the measuring ruler failed to reach the Xuanhuang Pagoda. Instead, the force was blocked, and Xuantian used this resistance to strike Laozi with the ruler.
Laozi dared not take it head-on, so he naturally retreated. The Xuanhuang Pagoda was entangled by the Heaven and Earth Dust and could not break free.
Seeing that the tortoise had hatched, Xuan Tian naturally seized the opportunity to strike while the tortoise was down, relentlessly pursuing and attacking Lao Tzu with a single foot.
Laozi is no match for Xuantian. Xuantian cultivated the true form of Pangu, and was similar to the Wu tribe. He was fierce in close combat, and Laozi could not defeat him. After all, the white jade crutch was made by him through his acquired merits and could not compare to the Measuring Ruler. After a fight, cracks appeared on the crutch. Laozi was shocked and hurriedly took out the Taiji Diagram to block the Measuring Ruler.
The Taiji diagram defines earth, water, wind, and fire, and can also evolve the world. Laozi threw it into the air, creating four golden bridges that surrounded Xuantian. He carried his flat cane and walked across the golden bridges, attacking Xuantian from all sides. Fortunately, Xuantian was experienced in combat and could block left and right. Laozi dared not confront Xuantian head-on. Whenever Xuantian's measuring ruler came, Laozi would dodge away and run to another golden bridge.
Xuan Tian watched as Laozi moved about like a ghost, impossible to strike, and he grew furious. This golden bridge was a manifestation of the Taiji diagram, allowing Laozi to move freely, while Xuan Tian dared not step onto it. The golden bridge was like Laozi's world, suppressing Xuan Tian's strength. Laozi also couldn't pull Xuan Tian onto the golden bridge. Thus, they fought and ran, attacking and blocking, like children playing.
Xuan Tian, annoyed by the fight, shouted, "Li Er, aren't you afraid of disgracing your Pangu lineage by using such a petty trick?" Laozi blushed at the question. The two were fighting like children, and he kept dodging, which was indeed quite shameful.
However, he wouldn't be foolish enough to jump out and fight Xuan Tian head-on. He forced a serious expression and said, "All three thousand Great Daos can prove Hunyuan. Our Daos are different. How could you possibly see through my Dao?" He continued his attack in silence, ignoring Xuan Tian's shouts and curses.
Even the divine thoughts of those saints in the void looked down on Laozi. Laozi's current behavior was like that of a flea, which was truly shameful.
Enraged, Xuan Tian suddenly trembled, revealing his true form as Pangu. An ancient and desolate aura spread throughout the surroundings, startling Laozi. Xuan Tian ignored Laozi's flat staff attack, which struck Xuan Tian with a metallic clang, leaving only a white mark. Xuan Tian's brows furrowed, and with a flick of his wrist, he gathered a ball of divine lightning and struck the golden bridge. The lightning struck the bridge, causing it to sway and tremble violently.
