Magical artifacts for suppressing destiny: Both innate objects and treasures imbued with merit can suppress destiny. Since the world was created by Pangu, the most effective magical artifacts for suppressing destiny are those imbued with the merit of creation. Among them are: Taiji Diagram, Pangu Banner, Chaos Bell, Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Exquisite Pagoda, and Immeasurable Merit Ruler. These five artifacts are the most effective for suppressing destiny, while the others are slightly weaker.
Innate spiritual objects include innate spiritual treasures. Innate spiritual treasures often contain a trace of the Great Dao Law, which living beings can use to comprehend the Great Dao. Hence the saying that one can become a saint by borrowing a treasure. However, this trace of the Great Dao Law can also suppress fortune, depending on the amount of law contained in the treasure. Although the Ten Great Innate Spiritual Treasures are somewhat inferior to the treasures created by the creation of the world, they are still extraordinary.
Merit-based treasures are either innate treasures combined with merit or acquired treasures. Because of the merit they contain, they enhance the effect of suppressing fortune. These include the Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Exquisite Pagoda, the Measuring Ruler of Heaven, the Nine Dragons Star Crown, and other merit-based treasures.
In addition, there are some magical treasures that have emerged in response to the times, all of which have special effects. Most of them contain the rules of the Heavenly Dao, such as the Hunyuan Golden Bucket, the Qiankun Ruler, and the Kongtong Seal.
The Kongtong Seal was created to gather the fortune of the human race. Holding it can stabilize the three emperors of the human race. As one of the ten innate spiritual treasures, this effect is the most important. However, this does not mean that it is the most powerful. In fact, this treasure is not very valuable in actual combat, as it only has thirty-six restrictions.
Furthermore, the restrictions mentioned in this book do not refer to the power of a magic weapon; this is just a rough estimate. Restrictions are derived from the Heavenly Dao rules contained within the magic weapon. For example, the Qiankun Gourd of Xuantian has been imbued with the merits of the creation of heaven and earth, the creation of humankind, the protection of the human race, the merits of the Six Paths, etc. In reality, its power is not as great as Laozi's Xuanhuang Pagoda, and its effect of suppressing fortune is slightly weaker. It is just that the Great Dao laws within it are not enough to elevate it to the ranks of innate supreme treasures.
The creation of the Xuanhuang Pagoda and the Measuring Ruler is different; they are not simply formed by accumulating a certain amount of merit. First, the materials used to form the Xuanhuang Pagoda and the Measuring Ruler are not simple: Xuanhuang Qi and Hongmeng Zi Qi. The former can only be seen at the time of creation and cannot be collected afterward, while Hongmeng Zi Qi is even rarer, and no one would be wealthy enough to use it to refine treasures. In addition to the merit accumulated during the creation of the world and the two Qi, these two items also contain the Great Dao of Pangu's creation of the world within them, which is why they can evolve into sacred artifacts of merit, something other treasures could not achieve.
It must be Xuantian. His merit at this moment has reached an unimaginable level. The merit required to become a saint is 10, and he now has at least close to 30. Some people may not believe it, but it is true. He has done so much merit. He has participated in almost all the great merits since the creation of the world. How could his merit not be so great? The Dao Ancestor once said that Xuantian can only worship the Heavenly Dao. No one else can receive his worship. It would diminish their merit. Even Hongjun can only receive his worship by combining with the Heavenly Dao.
Some people ask why he doesn't use his merits to refine treasures. Actually, at his level, using merits to refine treasures would be a complete waste. Refining treasures wouldn't produce magic weapons like the Xuanhuang Pagoda, and ordinary magic weapons are of little use to a saint. However, these merits could cause his luck to surge and his cultivation to improve at a faster pace. Why put the cart before the horse? Besides, he doesn't lack magic weapons. The Nine Dragons Star Crown alone has always grown on its own, and Xuan Tian hasn't interfered with it.
The Golden Wheel of Merit behind Xuan Tian's head alone covers thousands of acres when released, and its effect is no less than Lao Tzu's Xuanhuang Linglong Pagoda. The Nine Dragons Star Crown also has this effect, but it is useless to him. It is meaningless to use merit to refine treasures. It can be considered when there are no magic treasures, but Penglai Island is never short of magic treasures. Why would he make trouble for no reason?
The reason he forged the Nine Dragons Star Crown was precisely for this day. The Kongtong Seal had other uses and would eventually belong to someone else, which he didn't want to give away. So he used it to exchange for a portion of the human race's fortune, stealing the position of the orthodox Human Sect. Originally, Lao Tzu, having established the Human Sect, wasn't afraid of a lack of fortune for the major sects. By occupying the orthodox position of the human race, when the great calamity came, he could simply change dynasties and start a struggle, ensuring the Human Sect would remain invincible. However, Xuan Tian is now using this item to force Lao Tzu to not be able to do so so easily when the great calamity comes. No matter who wants to establish another Human Emperor, the orthodox position will still be in Xuan Tian's hands, otherwise they will not be able to recognize it. This makes Xuan Tian truly invincible. Xuan Tian is secretly enjoying himself on Penglai Island, having stolen the orthodox position of the Human Sect.
Xuan Tian was secretly gloating, but Laozi was definitely not having it. All his scheming had been thwarted by Xuan Tian, how could he not be furious? He immediately left the Tai Chi Tian Eight Scenery Palace and went to Penglai Island.
Xuan Tian knew that Lao Tzu would not be satisfied, so he waited outside Penglai Island before Lao Tzu came.
Laozi arrived, his beard bristling and eyes glaring at Xuantian, his face ashen. He roared, "May I ask what explanation you have for this matter, fellow Daoist?" Xuantian found Laozi's appearance somewhat amusing. Laozi was always aloof and dignified, pursuing the Dao and hoping to elevate himself to the level of Hongjun. He was usually calm and collected, so it was rare to see him like this.
Xuan Tian laughed and said, "Why are you asking me, fellow Daoist? This matter was orchestrated by the Three Sovereigns, who are also members of your great sect. What does it have to do with me?" He was trying to shirk responsibility, saying it was none of his business at this point.
I was infuriated by Xuan Tian's smile. You stole the Kongtong Seal. The Human Emperor is nominally a disciple of the Human Sect, but in reality, he was established by you. Furthermore, you were the one who crafted the Nine Dragons Star Crown, which contains your primordial spirit imprint. It has nothing to do with you? Bullshit.
Even with his excellent self-control, Laozi was still enraged by Xuantian's anger. Not only did Xuantian steal the Kongtong Seal, causing a loss of fortune for the Human Sect, but now he's pulled this stunt, directly striking at the Human Sect's lifeline. He is, after all, a saint. It would be a load of rubbish not to hold Xuantian accountable for what happened before. If it weren't for his concern about Xuantian's cultivation level, Laozi would have already fought him. He just left it for later.
