Mo Shisheng ignored the astonishment in their eyes, but her next move was even more astonishing.
Mo Shisheng gracefully took out a clean white cloth from her bosom, held a short dagger in one hand, and swiftly and neatly opened the giant python's abdomen.
With nimble hands, she dug out the beast core with a dagger. It was an orange beast core. Mo Shisheng stood up with disgust and kicked the giant python, which was dead beyond any doubt.

Shangguan Qi and Shangguan Yue hid behind a big tree, their eyes gleaming with greed as they looked at the orange beast core in Mo Shisheng's hand.

Orange-colored beast cores are already rare, let alone this giant python which has almost the cultivation level of a fourth-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator. The beast core is even more precious, so why is Mo Shisheng so dismissive of it?
There are three types of monsters: exotic beasts, spirit beasts, and beast souls.
Each monster has a monster core inside its body, ranked by color from red to purple, with red being the lowest and purple the highest.
This giant python was merely a strange beast; the orange-colored monster had nothing that could attract Mo Shisheng.
Mo Shisheng pulled all of his dozen or so daggers out of the giant python's body, wrapped them in a white cloth, and walked towards Shangguan Ying and the others.
He glanced at the wrecked carriage with a headache. "How are we going to get there now?"
"Take my carriage, it's not broken."
Shangguan Xuan suddenly spoke, looking in the other direction.
Mo Shisheng followed his gaze and found that his carriage was indeed undamaged and stopped a little further ahead, so it was not within the range of the giant python's destruction.
"This is the only way."
Mo Shisheng stretched lazily and raised her chin slightly. "I'm going to wash my dagger over there. You guys wait for me in the carriage."
"I'll go with you."
Shangguan Xue approached with a grin and affectionately took Mo Shisheng's arm. Mo Shisheng's expression was somewhat unnatural; she wasn't quite used to such close contact with people.
But when she glanced sideways at Shangguan Xue's lovely face and saw the smile on her lips, she couldn't bear to refuse and said helplessly, "Alright."
"Let's go."
Shangguan Xue took the things from Mo Shisheng's hands and took her arm, walking together towards a lake by the roadside.
The two squatted by the lake, carefully washing the dagger. Suddenly, Shangguan Xue asked, "Yan'er, isn't there anything you're afraid of?"
Why do you ask that?
Mo Shisheng raised an eyebrow slightly. Fear was in her nature, whether it was a stronger opponent or external factors. But so far, nothing had yet frightened her. She wasn't even afraid of death, so what could possibly frighten her?
"Although that giant python wasn't very powerful, you weren't panicked at all when it coiled around you," Shangguan Xue smiled. "Yan'er, isn't there anything you're afraid of?"
No cherry blossoms
Mo Shisheng smiled slightly, washed the dagger and beast core clean, wrapped them again in a white cloth, and then walked towards the carriage. "Let's go back."
Shangguan Xue shook the water off her hands and walked back briskly beside Mo Shisheng.
Outside the carriage, Shangguan Qi and Shangguan Yue didn't get in. Instead, they stood outside waiting for Mo Shisheng and Shangguan Xue to return. Only then did Shangguan Qi speak softly, "Yan'er..."
Mo Shisheng stopped and glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. His gaze was icy cold, as if he were looking at a dead person.
