Chapter 529 You want to meddle in this too?

Mo Shisheng returned to her room, took a shower, changed into a clean shirt, and sat on the bed. Candlelight illuminated the room, casting a dim yet warm glow.

Thinking that Xie hadn't appeared since her last trip to the Demon Realm, he couldn't help but feel a little worried.

She tried to connect her spiritual energy with the evil spirit, but always failed; there was no reaction at all.

The events of this period of time had greatly troubled Mo Shisheng. She sighed softly, got up from the bed, grabbed a pot of wine, and flew out the window.

She leaned lazily against a large tree, tilted her head back, and took a swig of strong liquor. The burning sensation flowed from her throat into her stomach, and the searing heat made her consciousness momentarily hazy.

Being too lucid would only lead her to sink deeper into hatred. Mo Shisheng didn't want her consciousness to be driven by hatred, so she had to wake up and not let herself succumb.

Only this half-awake, half-asleep feeling made her feel a little better. She leaned lazily against the tree, when suddenly a cool breeze blew by, and snowflakes slowly began to fall.

Mo Shisheng stared at the snow-white snowflakes falling slowly, her consciousness momentarily blurred.

A scene seems to appear before me: two children, about six or seven years old, standing in the vast expanse of snow.

Bei Ya, dressed in a red dress, stood out against the silvery snow. She glanced indifferently at Ming Jinheng standing in front of her. "The Demon Realm and the Divine Realm have always been at odds. As a princess of the Demon Realm, what is the meaning of your constant trips to the Divine Realm?"

"Do I need a reason to look for someone?"

Although Ming Jinheng was not old, his tone was as arrogant and domineering as ever.

Bei Ya wasn't annoyed. She stood quietly in the snow, gently closed her eyes, and let the snowflakes fall on her hair, shoulders, and long eyelashes.

She was like a snow doll, exquisitely perfect.

She stood in the snow, while Ming Jinheng sat on a snowdrift beside her, watching her for a long time before finally asking, "It's snowing and you're still outside? Are you stupid?"

"You're the stupid one."

Bei Ya glanced at Ming Jinheng with annoyance, "I just love snow. I don't want to go back when it snows. Is that any of your business?"

"I can't care about you."

Ming Jinheng seemed to find it boring, so she got up and left. Bei Ya didn't pay any attention to her and continued to stand in the silvery snow, feeling the calm baptism of the heavy snow.

...

The snow fell heavier and heavier. Mo Shisheng took another big gulp of wine, but felt even more sober.

She couldn't help but smile slightly. She didn't know why, but she had always loved heavy snow. Back in the 25th century, she would resolutely refuse to go on missions whenever it snowed in winter.

Despite being terribly cold, they still insist on standing in the snow. The environment in the 25th century has been polluted, global warming has made snowfall rare, and even when it does snow, it won't last long.

So Mo Shisheng stood outside until the heavy snow stopped before going back inside.

Some people thought she was crazy; it was just snow, why was she so fond of it?

Now Mo Shisheng realized that she didn't actually like snow; she only waited in the snow hoping that person would come and keep her company.

Even though Bei Ya was a goddess of the divine realm, she had no friends around her because of her status. Ming Jinheng was about the same age as her at the time, and the two had such similar personalities, so it was inevitable that Bei Ya would miss him dearly.

But Ming Jinheng definitely doesn't know, right? He must.
