Chapter 717 Why Drink?

Ignorance is no excuse

To be honest, though the scratches and bite marks on my body only look a bit serious, they don't actually hurt.

What bothered Ming Beiya was that Mo Shisheng was unusually clingy when he was drunk, just like a cat, clinging to him tightly and refusing to let go.

That night, Ming Beiya suffered greatly. He was surrounded by a warm and soft woman in his arms, but she was so clingy that he couldn't do anything.

However, Mo Shisheng was unaware of these things. She only thought that she had caused Ming Beiya's injury, which was why he was in pain and hadn't been able to rest properly.

Then I saw myself sleeping soundly and felt very angry.

Thinking of this possibility, Mo Shisheng gently reached out her small hand and touched the deepest scratch on Ming Beiya's chest.

The touch was very light, yet it tickled the man, causing him to furrow his brow slightly. "What are you doing?" he asked.

I want to ease your pain.

Mo Shisheng's tone carried a hint of guilt, "I didn't know I would act like this when I was drunk."

Why drink alcohol?

Looking down at the girl's slightly self-reproachful face, Ming Beiya couldn't help but ask the question. It was completely subconscious; he didn't even realize that the question had already come out.

After asking the question, Ming Beiya paused for a moment, then thought, since he had already asked, he might as well ask. He stared intently at the girl, waiting for her answer.

"I'm used to it."

Mentioning alcohol made Mo Shisheng feel a little dizzy. She raised her hand and rubbed her temples. "When I'm upset, I want to drink some alcohol to stop thinking about so many things, and it also helps me sleep better."

You won't be able to sleep well.

Ming Beiya's tone was clearly disbelieving. Mo Shisheng had slept soundly last night and was completely unaware of what he had done.

Moreover, not only yesterday, but also the day before yesterday, she slept soundly until dawn even though she hadn't drunk any alcohol.

Therefore, Ming Beiya did not believe Mo Shisheng's words.

Mo Shisheng also sensed it. She turned her head slightly and looked at the man's long, narrow phoenix eyes, trying to see the deepest part of his eyes, but she always felt that it was covered by a layer of mist, making it impossible for her to see clearly.

"Ming Beiya, do you think I would lie to you?"

She asked softly, knowing that it was normal for Ming Beiya to not know whether what she said was true or false since he had no memories of himself. However, Mo Shisheng still couldn't help but feel sad.

“”

Ming Beiya originally wanted to answer yes, but then he saw a strong sense of expectation in the girl's eyes.

expect

Would his answer make her so eager?

Upon realizing this, Ming Beiya pursed her lips slightly. "Can you?"

"I won't."

The man's answer made Mo Shisheng breathe a huge sigh of relief. Heaven knows how scared she was that Ming Beiya would say yes, and heaven knows how scared she was that Ming Beiya would take back all her trust after losing his memory.

Fortunately, Ming Beiya did not give that answer.

Even though this answer didn't make Mo Shisheng very happy, it was still better than not believing in herself.

Mo Shisheng couldn't help but curl her lips upwards. "Ming Beiya, I won't lie to you. During the six months you were missing, I couldn't sleep at all. I could only rely on alcohol to numb myself, to stop thinking about so many things, and to give my brain a rest."

Those six months were the last thing Mo Shisheng wanted to mention, let alone the fact that Ming Beiya was now perfectly fine in front of her, which was already a great luxury for her.

She really didn't dare to be greedy anymore; this was good enough, and she hoped he would never leave her again.
