Chapter 816 No Words, Just Action

"..."

Old friends?

Ming Qiancheng knew almost immediately that Beichen was referring to Li Ji. He glanced coldly at Beichen and said, "Mind your own business."

"She must be pregnant soon, I wonder if His Highness has seen her yet."

Bei Chen's lips curled slightly, his smile exceptionally cold, as if it pierced to the bone.

Oh.

Having no intention of wasting any more words with Bei Chen, Ming Qiancheng sneered, turned and left, his figure quickly disappearing into the night.

Watching Ming Qiancheng's departing figure, Bei Chen's cold smile gradually faded, his eyes filled with icy coldness, as if a venomous snake was flicking its tongue inside.

Mo Shisheng didn't know how far Ming Beiya had led her, until they stopped outside a bamboo forest. There was a stream nearby with crystal-clear water.

The clear stream reflects the moon and stars in the sky, creating a beautiful and pleasing scene.

This was a place Mo Shisheng had never been before. As Ming Beiya gently placed her down on the grass, she looked around and asked with a hint of surprise, "How did you know about this place? This is my first time here."

"..."

Mo Shisheng's words made Ming Beiya pause slightly. He glanced at Mo Shisheng and said only four words, "Take a closer look."

"Take a closer look?"

Mo Shisheng softly muttered Ming Beiya's words to herself, then looked around again. She really didn't remember this place at all...

Could it be that Ming Beiya remembered it wrong?

No, no, with Ming Beiya's serious expression, she must have remembered wrong...

Mo Shisheng lowered her eyes slightly, her brows furrowing as she continued to search her memory.

"Can't remember?"

Ming Beiya's deep voice came from not far away. Mo Shisheng suddenly looked up and found that the man had gently pulled up his sleeves and rolled up the hem of his clothes. He had stopped by the stream.

What are you trying to do?

Seeing Ming Beiya's imposing presence, Mo Shisheng momentarily forgot about the topic they had just been discussing.

"Can't remember?"

Ming Beiya did not answer Mo Shisheng's question, his gaze falling lightly on her.

"..."

Hearing Ming Beiya continue asking, Mo Shisheng genuinely couldn't remember. She pursed her lips slightly and shook her head, "I don't remember..."

"..."

Ming Beiya stared intently at Mo Shisheng for a long time before finally looking away and walking towards the stream.

The man's actions stunned Mo Shisheng even more. She stared blankly as Ming Beiya walked into the stream, and suddenly, for some reason, as if her brain had short-circuited, she blurted out and called out to him.

"Ming Beiya, aren't you hungry?"

Upon hearing this, Ming Beiya paused slightly, slowly turning his head to look at Mo Shisheng. "Are you hungry? What's wrong?"

"You're not...you're not...you're not..."

Mo Shisheng couldn't bring herself to say the next sentence; she found it incredibly difficult to utter.

Ming Beiya, however, saw right through Mo Shisheng's thoughts. He smiled slightly and said, "You don't want to eat me, do you?"

"..."

With a "boom," Mo Shisheng's face turned bright red again, all because Ming Beiya had spoken so bluntly!

Mo Shisheng looked at Ming Beiya with a resentful gaze, her lips pressed tightly together, her eyes fixed on him, "If you don't speak, no one will think you're mute!"

"No words, just action?"

Ming Beiya raised an eyebrow slightly and teased softly.
