Although she was envious, Mo Shisheng's comforting words immediately brought tears to her eyes, which welled up with glistening tears.

She took a deep breath. “I know nothing about this place. The only person I know is my master, but he is very busy every day, and I hardly ever see him, except for the occasional evening when he comes to my place.”

Mo Shisheng gently comforted herself, feeling that her hands were too cold, so she pinched her wrist and tried to put them back in her sleeve so that they wouldn't get cold.
But when Mo Shisheng touched her wrist, her brows furrowed sharply. "Li Ji, you!"
Mo Shisheng hesitated, the rest of her words seemingly stuck in her throat, her eyes filled with disbelief.
Mo Shisheng's expression immediately made her realize what was happening. Her face paled instantly, she withdrew her hand and gently placed it on her lower abdomen, her eyes reddened, and a tear rolled down her cheek. "I'm pregnant..."

Her words made Mo Shisheng frown even more. "Don't you want to live? Li Ji, this is suicidal!"
“I know I am just a mortal, but Shi Sheng, this is my master’s child… this is my master’s… I can’t abandon him…”
Her face was pale. "I want to keep him..."
"You are just a mortal. You cannot possibly sustain the continuation of the demonic bloodline. His very existence is your death!"
Mo Shisheng's eyes flashed with anger. "It hasn't been two months yet. I can help you deal with him."
"No!"
She shook her head violently, stood up abruptly, but her feet were blocked by the chair, and she couldn't help but fall backward.
Mo Shisheng couldn't bring herself to do it, so she quickly got up and caught herself.
After regaining her balance, she was still shaken and quickly covered her lower abdomen with both hands, asking, "Is the baby alright? Will the baby be okay?"
"Won't."
A cold glint flashed in Mo Shisheng's eyes. "Li Ji, are you really that desperate?"
"Shi Sheng, I want to have this child for him. I want him to have a family..."
Faced with Mo Shisheng's anger, her paleness eased slightly, and she gently reached out to grasp Mo Shisheng's wrist. "Shisheng, I know it's a pipe dream for a mortal like me to try and continue the bloodline of the demon race, but I still want to try..."
"Why are you so stupid?"
Mo Shisheng looked away, not wanting to see her again.
This reaction was unexpected; it was the first time she had ever felt cared for by Mo Shisheng.
A joy welled up from the bottom of her heart. She knew that it was indeed extremely difficult for a mortal to give birth to a demon seed, but she still wanted to try.
After discovering that her period was almost two months late, she took her own pulse, as she had a rudimentary understanding of medicine. Once she confirmed she was pregnant, she was afraid to tell her master, knowing that his reaction would likely be the same as Mo Shisheng's.
But regardless of whether her master was concerned or not, she was unwilling to harm this hard-won child. She wanted to give birth to a child for her master so that the child could accompany her master in the long years to come.
Even if it meant risking her life to save the child, she would try, because her master was her everything.
