"Where's your hometown?"
"Is that the place where you just mentioned there was a TV series?" Seeing Su Yin taking the initiative to talk about her hometown, Dongcheng Yao rarely stopped teasing and spoke to Su Yin seriously.
"Yes." Su Yin nodded. Talking about her hometown, her world, a gentle smile appeared on Su Yin's face. She took the initiative to tell Dong Chengyao, "My hometown is on the west side of a mountain. I grew up there, but I accidentally left there."
"But after coming here, I found that everyone and everything here is completely different from what I understand and imagine. On the surface, we are one, but in our hearts, we are completely different. So, no matter who I am with, I feel a deep sense of incompatibility. Only you, the demon, you are a scoundrel, you are poisonous, you make me tremble with anger, but you are the only one I can really talk to."
Su Yin smiled at Dong Chengyao and said, "No matter what I say, you don't feel strange. No matter what I do, you don't seem to really care. Sometimes, talking to you makes me really happy."
As he spoke, Su Yin took a few steps forward, walked in front of Dongcheng Yao, tapped his shoulder lightly, and gave him another big smile.
Friends from home? Dong Chengyao narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the sincere Su Yin in front of him. After a moment of silence, Dong Chengyao's tightly furrowed brows suddenly relaxed. He gently leaned down again, looking down at Su Yin's petite face, and said coldly, "I, Dong Chengyao, have never been your friend. Wake up."
An icy air circulated around Su Yin's body. Dongcheng Yao smiled calmly, but the words he said made people feel cold to the bone.
"Let's go. It's really getting late. We should go downstairs." Dongcheng Yao's tone instantly returned to its previous cynicism, and he urged Su Yindao again.
Can't we really be friends? Will the three major forces in the demon world eventually become enemies? Su Yin's eyes dimmed as he watched the red figure disappear into the distance. An inexplicable bitterness rose in his heart.
Dongcheng Yao, you’re actually a pretty good friend, did you know?
Dongcheng Yao walked forward with his back to Su Yin, his expression inexplicably deep. He was lost in thought. A girl like this really wasn't suited to stay in the Luo family. With her rough personality, she'd be eaten alive by someone sooner or later. Was she still hoping someone would protect her? Never mind, Dongcheng Yao fanned himself and smiled nonchalantly. He'd only meddled in her affairs out of pity for her. But he mustn't let her get tangled up with him.
After all, the next good show is the most attractive, isn’t it?
…
After the group left Fengwu Pavilion, Dongcheng Yao naturally stayed in Yunwu Pavilion. After Su Yin and Luhuan thanked Dongcheng Yao, they had no intention of staying any longer and turned around to return to Luo Mansion.
"Miss Su."
In Luo Wen's room, Sha Ren nodded politely to Su Yin, which was considered a greeting to Su Yin. After that, he stopped looking at Su Yin and continued to guard in front of Luo Wen's room.
"Hi! Sha Ren." Su Yin greeted Sha Ren politely, and glanced at Luo Wen's door. Seeing that Luo Wen's door was still closed, Su Yin asked Sha Ren curiously, "Luo Wen...is he still busy?" It has been so long, even the most distinguished guest should have left.
