"Will the King care?"
Care? Qian Yue gritted his teeth. He stared at Su Luoyin intently, trying to read her expression, but to no avail. She was no longer the little girl who wore every thought on her face. Now, when he looked at her, her expression remained unchanged, leaving one unsure whether she was joking or... genuinely didn't care.
"Okay, very good." After a while, Qian Yue gritted his teeth and said, but his tone was full of resentment.
He stared fiercely at Su Luoyin for one last time, then turned around and left, returning to his high seat. He looked down at Su Luoyin and said, "You're right. I don't care about such trivial matters like those ordinary people do."
"It's just..." Qian Yue's words suddenly changed, "As my fiancée, you are making a fuss outside the door for other people's affairs, and even fighting with my guards. Do you really think I can't do anything to you?" Qian Yue looked at Su Luoyin seriously, and his golden eyes were even colder and more terrifying.
"Your Majesty is wrong," Su Luoyin denied. She held her head high, her beautiful, cold face devoid of any fear. "I just heard about your great victory, and I came to congratulate you."
"Am I wrong?" Su Luoyin looked straight at Qian Yue, and suddenly wanted to know how Qian Yue would punish her.
Qian Yue remained silent, staring at Su Luoyin solemnly for a long moment, his face etched with a wry smile. Punishment? Punishment? Absurd. If he truly knew how to punish her, he wouldn't have sat alone in this hall for three months, numbing himself with government affairs, war, and alcohol. How could she be wrong? From the beginning to the end, it was all his fault! If he had taken her away from Shenghan Mountain then, how could this have happened?
Even when they reunited later, Su Luoyin regained her memory and returned to stay by his side. He was well aware that too many things had happened in between, things he couldn't talk about, couldn't think about, couldn't hear about, and couldn't see! They could no longer go back to the way they were before.
These past events had been lingering, neither of them speaking out. Even if they had, they'd only brushed them aside, neither of them dwelling on them. But what happened was what happened, and no one could change it. Not even him. And once all these things were revealed, laid out before them, they both chose to avoid them. So, how could they possibly understand what was happening?
"You came here for the Dongcheng family and the Xi family, right?" Qian Yue asked after staring at Su Luoyin's face without a trace of unnecessary emotion.
Is that so? Maybe, maybe not. She had thought about this ending a long time ago, but she was too confused as to why it happened. And maybe, I think it is because I miss you. Is it because of Dongcheng Yao and Xi Chen? Maybe, but who knows if it is because she suddenly felt comforted in her heart. Because.
Can see you.
Seeing the inadvertent warmth flashing in Su Luoyin's eyes, Qian Yue couldn't help but clench his fists tightly in his sleeves. Looking at the faint smile at the corner of Su Luoyin's mouth, Qian Yue felt even more ironic, "Okay!"
"If you want to know, I will tell you."
"What if I say that Xi Chen has been mine since the beginning?" Qian Yue clenched his fists and stared at Su Luoyin.
