Silently tidying up the loose hair around his ears, Su Yin raised his head and looked at the woman in the mirror with lifeless eyes and a hint of endless haggardness.
"Ha!" Su Yin sneered. "When did I become like this?" He raised his head and looked around, only to see endless darkness.
Closing his eyes resignedly, Su Yin laughed at himself again.
Did he ultimately intend to imprison her? He said he would let her do what she wanted, letting her move freely in the Luo Mansion, but what difference would that make from this little house? Ultimately, she was just a bird in a cage.
Looking at the haggard woman in the bronze statue, Su Yin suddenly realized that she seemed to have... grown up a little. It wasn't that her appearance had changed much, but her eyes. Slowly, the little girl who only cared about playing and did not do any serious work seemed to be completing this amazing transformation.
After turning his eyes slightly, Su Yin realized that her eyes were full of vicissitudes of life.
She still remembered herself a long time ago, thinking every day about how to have fun, how to pass the exams, and how to discover delicious food from all over the world. But now she is alone in a different world, and has to slowly learn to grow up and participate in their world.
But she was really tired and had no strength left. Couldn't she just let her go?
She had long since given up on everything. The battles between immortals and demons were none of her business as a free person in the 21st century. Now she truly wanted to leave. While she had no special abilities, she did have a few minor spells, so she figured she could still support herself. And then what... would she slowly await death in another world? She couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Gently putting down the comb in her hand, Su Yin smiled broadly at the mirror again. No matter what, she was Su Yin. There would always be a way out, and she would definitely not be completely hopeless.
She silently clenched the bone whistle that had been hidden in her sleeve. The extremely cold touch gave her an inexplicable sense of security and gratitude.
"I haven't seen you for a few days, Miss Su. You seem to have lost a lot of weight."
A female voice as sweet as a clear spring suddenly rang out. It turned out that when Su Yin was in a daze, Linglong suddenly pushed the door open and came in. She saw Su Yin sitting alone in front of the mirror and dressing herself.
"It's you?" Su Yin glanced sideways. "Why are you here?"
"Speaking of which, Miss Su has been in the Luo Mansion for quite some time, but the two of us have never been alone together. So, today Linglong came to see Miss Su to reminisce about the past."
Reminiscing about the past? Su Yin silently rolled her eyes. She knew with a flick of her toes that Linglong's visit was up to no good. Perhaps she was trying to intimidate her, to get her to withdraw from the relationship between her and Luo Wen?
It was a good idea. Su Yin curled her lips slightly. Unfortunately, her efforts were in vain. She had already given up. Someone like Luo Wen was not the same type of person as her.
Su Yin sneered again, slowly standing up and looking straight at Linglong. "He and I are over. I've already made it clear to him. Sorry for your concern, Miss Luo." Su Yin scoffed coldly, but secretly emphasized the three words "Miss Luo". Although they may not be together anymore, what else is possible between siblings? This is revenge for the misunderstanding I made you suffer. Humph.
Linglong heard this, but instead of getting angry, she smiled, her lips curled up slightly, and said with a smile, "He really told you everything."
