Originally Su Yin

The surroundings seemed to have... become quietly quiet?

After an unknown amount of time, Qian Yue still hadn't appeared. Su Luoyin turned around and saw that Qian Yue's palace was still brightly lit, while the street she was on was almost deserted.

They're all gone, right? But she's still here.

Su Luoyin gritted her teeth, even though her mind was still desperately trying to hold her back, telling her that this was wrong and she shouldn't have harbored such thoughts long ago. Since she had chosen to be Su Luoyin, she would abandon everything that belonged to Su Yin, because that Su Yin was not enough to stand by his side, not enough to achieve all her goals. But even though she desperately forced herself to mature and become the person she hated the most in the past, deep down, she was still that playful and innocent little girl. This contrast constantly gnawed at her heart, causing her unbearable pain.

Just this once, let her indulge herself. During the annual grand festival, on the busy street, she can turn back into Su Yin again. No one should notice.

She was so tired, she was so tired...

"Xiaotao." Su Luoyin finally spoke.

"Yes, girl." Hearing Su Luoyin's voice, the little girl behind her immediately responded.

"Please ask for me...what the Lord is busy with. Just...tell him, I'm waiting for him here." Su Luoyin hesitated with a trembling voice.

"Ah? Yes." Xiao Tao hesitated for a moment, because usually Miss Su rarely took the initiative to disturb the Lord, but today... Miss Su seemed a little different. Thinking this way, Xiao Tao still did not disobey Su Luoyin's wishes, and quickly lowered her head and turned to leave.

Listening to Xiaotao's footsteps gradually fading away, Su Luoyin still stayed there, looking out and waiting for Qianyue's figure. It was unknown how much time had passed before Xiaotao came back panting.

"Miss. I have asked the palace maid on duty. A sudden war report came from afar tonight. It seems that the king is dealing with some important matter. The king summoned a few close subordinates for a private talk. I heard that the matter is very urgent. This... I dare not disturb them for the time being. I have no idea, so I can only come back to report to you." Xiao Tao answered breathlessly, obviously having used a lot of energy on the way.

"I see..."

Su Luoyin only left Xiaotao with her back. Xiaotao could not see her expression, but she vaguely felt that there seemed to be a hint of sadness in Miss Su's voice, but it disappeared in an instant.

"Miss, do you need me to go and report again?" Xiao Tao asked immediately.

"No need." Su Luoyin quickly denied it and turned sideways, leaving only a silhouette to Xiaotao. From Xiaotao's point of view, Miss Su's expression was no different from usual, but her lowered eyes inexplicably made people feel extremely sad.

"I'm just taking a walk, you don't have to follow me." Su Luoyin suddenly raised her head and said to Xiaotao. Before Xiaotao could react, Su Luoyin resolutely walked away. Her pink clothes were particularly eye-catching in the lonely night.

Xiao Tao stood there, dumbfounded, watching Su Luoyin's back slowly recede, eventually merging into the darkness, no longer recognizable as her original color. Finally... there was no trace of her. Xiao Tao stared blankly, standing where Su Luoyin had been. She turned to look at Qian Yue's palace, still brightly lit, as usual. Could it be that the Lord had truly forgotten, or was he truly so tense because of the war? Miss Su... seems very sad.
