Relics of our ancestors

Seeing Xi Chen get off the carriage first, Su Yin didn't dare to move. He just listened quietly to the movement below in the carriage, wanting to wait until everyone was not paying attention and then take the opportunity to sneak into Xi Chen's attendants.

But… Su Yin slowly twitched his lips. After waiting for a long time, the noisy sounds below still continued. As for what, as for what… Su Yin couldn't help but sigh. What on earth was wrong with these people? Even if they saw the savior, there was no need to be so excited.

Oh, she got it. Since Luo Wen wasn't planning to attend, the only two families left in the demon world who could truly take charge were the Xi and Dongcheng families. And Dongcheng Yao had left before him and Xi Chen, so until Xi Chen arrived, this demon must have been in charge.

Su Yin couldn't help but laugh at the thought of that evildoer running the show. Although he mingled daily in various settings, the eldest young master's character remained stubbornly stubborn. He was sure to piss off those who had placed their hopes in their two major families. She knew how powerful Dongcheng Yao's mouth was, and the evildoer always looked down on such villains. Many people must have been driven half to death by him. Now that he saw Xi Chen, he naturally regarded him as a savior.

Now, she seemed to be somewhat fond of this evildoer. With a slight curl of her lips, Su Yin saw the right moment and suddenly jumped off the carriage, quickly blending in with the attendants behind Xi Chen.

Su Yin calmed his heart, which was pounding from the intense movement, and glanced around. Fortunately, Su Yin slowly breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that no one had noticed him. He had finally passed the checkpoint safely.

However, this place is really...huge...

Su Yin looked around, slowly raising her head, her mouth gaping. Supported by numerous tall trees, a magnificent palace appeared before her. It seemed as if some unexpected event had ripped the roof off of it. In front of the palace lay fallen stone pillars, and a long corridor led directly into the palace. The ruins were covered in moss from the passage of time. While one could vaguely see its former glory, it evoked a sense of desolation.

In front of the hall, where many stone pillars collapsed, there was a faint transparent circular halo, gathering people of all sizes, mostly adults. As soon as they saw Xi Chen appear, they hurried to greet him.

Xi Chen nodded and greeted everyone politely. When he touched the circular halo, Xi Chen was stunned at first. He stretched out his hand and gently placed it on the circular halo, and the circular barrier disappeared instantly.

Watching Xi Chen walk in, Su Yin also followed in closely with the footsteps of his attendants. When everyone passed by, the circular halo suddenly appeared again, flickering faintly in the air.

"Is this the barrier left by our ancestors here?" Xi Chen asked an old man he knew well.

"Alas." The old man sighed slowly and looked at Xi Chen with obvious excitement. "My people and I wanted to see the ancient jade sooner, so we came here early. But we suffered heavy casualties right after arriving. We had to rely on a barrier left by our ancestors to save our lives. I'm really old and useless."

Xi Chen comforted him, "Uncle Li, don't blame yourself. This extinct jungle has never been visited by anyone, and the conditions inside are unknown. Given this, some damage is inevitable."
