"Were you the one who saved me?" Su Yin asked Xi Chen beside him with his head tilted slightly.
"It was you who saved yourself." Xi Chen explained with a slight smile at Su Yin.
"I saved myself? Why does this seem a bit confusing?" Puzzled by Xi Chen's words, Su Yin raised his hand and scratched his head gently.
Seeing Su Yin scratching her head in confusion, Xi Chen couldn't help but laugh. He gently covered Su Yin with the quilt again to prevent her from moving around. Then Xi Chen said, "Do you remember the bone whistle I gave you?"
"It's made of a specific material. Only by using spiritual power can it be played into music. Because you blew it, I came to save you."
"Ah? So that's how it is." Su Yin nodded blankly, tilted his head slightly, and looked at the bone whistle that was currently placed on the bedside. Fortunately, he was in a good mood before he died and knew to play a song for him, otherwise he would have been really useless.
Seeing Su Yin staring at the bone whistle beside him, Xi Chen simply picked up the bone whistle beside him, gently took Su Yin's hand and placed it in her palm.
"Is this mine?" Su Yin asked, looking down at the bone whistle and then looking up at Xi Chen.
"It has been yours for a long time." Xi Chen smiled and said gently.
The handsome man smiled gently, which made Su Yin stunned. He looked down at the bone whistle in his hand, only to feel that it was still as cold as before.
"By the way, I still want to thank you for saving me." Slowly tightening the bone whistle in his hand, Su Yin suddenly raised his head and thanked Xi Chen again.
"There's no need to thank me between you and me." Xi Chen said indifferently, shaking his head slowly.
"You and I..." Are we familiar with each other? Staring blankly at Xi Chen, Su Yin thought for a moment but couldn't say it out loud. After a pause, Su Yin asked Xi Chen, "Well, can I ask, since you still remember me, why did you say it was our first meeting before, when we clearly..."
"Hush." Xi Chen gently placed his fingertips on Su Yin's lips to stop her from saying anything else. "What we witnessed in Shenghan Mountain must never be known to others."
Do you say that too? Her master had warned her about this before. What was it that she couldn't know? "Well, you should also know that I'm from Shenghan Mountain. You saved me, aren't you afraid?"
Xi Chen shook his head calmly, "Shenghan Mountain has never had a disciple like Su Yin."
"What?" Su Yin was stunned and asked in confusion, "What do you mean by this?"
"Let me ask you, since you accepted Rong Hua as your master, was there a formal ceremony for becoming your disciple, and was there a name or gifts given to you?" Xi Chen looked at Su Yin with a serious look on his face.
Is it really that complicated to become a disciple? Su Yin frowned and slowly shook her head. At that time, she seemed to have been deceived by Rong Hua. She did nothing but teach him a few insignificant spells before going down the mountain.
"That's it," Xi Chen confirmed after hearing Su Yin's answer. "I previously secretly had someone investigate all the files of the disciples of Shenghan Mountain, but I found that the name 'Su Yin' never appeared."
"The apprenticeship ceremony at Shenghan Mountain has always been very strict. Since you and Rong Hua haven't really held a formal apprenticeship ceremony, you can't be considered Rong Hua's disciple, let alone a member of Shenghan."
What? Listening to Xi Chen's slow explanation, Su Yin suddenly felt as if a mirror had been shattered in her heart. Had she been fooled from beginning to end? Rong Hua, why on earth would you lie to me to this extent?
