The two smiled at each other, and there was an indescribable tacit understanding between their words.
Qian Yue stopped at Su Luoyin's position and stood quietly beside her. In the distance, there was a ten-mile-long street with dim lights. Looking up, it was a perfect night with moonlight.
"You seem to like standing here and looking into the distance recently." Qian Yue glanced sideways slightly, and the quiet moonlight illuminated his beautiful profile.
"Aren't you the same?" Su Luoyin asked in return. Her jade-like profile looked even more gentle and tranquil under the moonlight, making Qian Yue sigh that his little girl had finally grown up and become a woman.
Regardless of what Qian Yue beside him thought, Su Luoyin lowered her head and smiled faintly, "If you don't like this, why do you order the palace not to light long lanterns on the road at night, but instead let the city be brightly lit and indulge in luxury and entertainment?"
Qian Yue was silent, his eyes unconsciously looking into the distance, "...darkness. Only in darkness can I find my existence." His eyes stayed on the blurry and flickering lights in the distance, and Qian Yue's face did not show a trace of emotion.
"Yes." Su Luoyin sighed, "Some beauty can only be admired from afar."
"What a pity..." Su Luoyin suddenly changed the subject and turned to Qian Yue and said, "Someone won't be able to sleep today."
Qian Yue also turned around and looked at Su Luoyin. She smiled faintly again, "How is it, are you still busy today?"
Qian Yue nodded, "Now most of the families have submitted to me, but..." Qian Yue paused and did not continue.
Su Luoyin didn't really care about it, and just gently reminded him, "Don't overwork yourself."
"I don't want you to interfere in these matters." Qian Yue frowned and said with some embarrassment.
Su Luoyin shook her head calmly. "I don't care about these things anyway. What's the world like? What does it have to do with me?" Her words were still tinged with disdain. She never cared about what was going on in the world; all she cared about was who would get the remaining three pieces of ancient jade. While she no longer felt the same distaste for these things as before, that didn't mean she enjoyed them.
Qian Yue suddenly hugged her, his cold lips caressing her forehead. He locked her tightly with his whole body, silently protecting her with his own strength.
"Don't worry, I will keep this world firmly in my hands."
"And you will always be by my side."
His cold lips kept stroking Su Luoyin's forehead. He said in an unusually cold and domineering tone, "One day, I will bring the best things in this world to you one by one."
"That day won't be far away."
Isn’t it far?
Out of Qianyue's sight, Su Luoyin suddenly lowered her eyes, a look of unconcealable sadness on her face. "If you knew that the moment you took over the world would be the moment I left, what would you do? You offered me the best things in the world, but you didn't realize that the very thing you longed for was the only key I had to open the door to my own era. Will you regret saying this then?"
"Do you want to go out for a walk?" Qian Yue suddenly said.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Su Luoyin subconsciously frowned slightly and asked, "What happened?"
"The day after tomorrow is the Hundred Flowers Festival." Qian Yue rested his chin gently on Su Luoyin's forehead and explained.
"Hundred Flowers Festival?" Su Luoyin was stunned and blurted out, "Does this place also celebrate the Hundred Flowers Festival?"
