Trade and Death 8

So, are we just going to be slaughtered like this?

Blood trickled down the corner of her mouth, and she couldn't help but tremble slightly. For the first time, she hated herself so intensely. If, if, it weren't for her... would the outcome be any better? She didn't want to see them being controlled by others for her...

"Little girl, I am helping you."

"Don't you want to see who of these two people loves you more? Who will give up everything for you? Haven't you always wanted to know?" Daosong lowered his body and whispered in Su Yin's ear.

Su Yin's body trembled slightly. Give up everything? Give up the world?

Is it possible?

Su Yin looked up at the two men before him. One had endured humiliation for a century, even sacrificing his life to seal away his lost spiritual power, all for the sole purpose of making a comeback a century later. The other, gifted and exceptional, was suddenly snatched away from his position as a lofty, radiant young master to a state worse than a beggar. Now, relying on the power of ancient jade to reclaim what he had lost, his past experiences had chilled him from the inside out, his heart filled with only purpose and a relentless drive.

These two incredibly proud people, they were supposed to be the supreme kings of the world. They shouldn't stop for anyone or anything. She should have been absolutely certain, seeing the undisguised aura of kingship on their equally proud faces. But now, as they looked at her together, their eyes brimming with unconcealable sadness.

Are you sad and hurt for her?

When did these people's faces show such a variety of expressions? I was so limited to my own time before and never noticed it. Isn't it sad?

It was very quiet all around, more quiet than it had ever been before. Everyone was waiting for that decision, that decision that seemed like a joke. Would anyone really be stupid enough to give up everything they had worked hard for just for one person?

"Tell me, will the girl be okay?" Even though the current situation had nothing to do with them, Dongcheng Yao's heart had never been so tense. If he were really facing this situation... No, Dongcheng Yao's eyes dimmed. She had never seen him in her eyes. Even when he came, standing beside her in a red dress, she hadn't truly paid any attention to him.

No matter whether it was the suave and wealthy son of the Dongcheng family who charmed thousands of girls or the seemingly unruly head of the Dongcheng family who could kill countless people while chatting and laughing, he had never appeared in her eyes.

"I don't know." Xi Chen's gaze remained fixed on Su Yin, a look of unprecedented dejection. As the first person to participate in this life-or-death game, he had never imagined things would turn out this badly. But the irony was that everything was caused by his own selfish motives, from his unintentional collusion with Dao Song, to revealing Su Yin's identity as a Five Elements Spiritualist, and finally, his secret conspiracy with Qian Yue.

Everything is too bad.

How did things turn out like this?

"Oh."

"Brother Xi, we have known each other for a long time, right?" Dongcheng Yao sneered, suddenly turned his eyes to the sky and said this. Xi Chen was stunned and couldn't help but look at him sideways.

Dongcheng Yao looked at the sky. It was supposed to be a beautiful day today. Why was it so dark? The sky was covered in dark clouds, and the ground was filled with murderous intent, filled with death and despair. Did all this really make sense?

"Yes, it has been a hundred years. We finally ended up in the same place." Xi Chen sighed with emotion.
