Chapter 119 Ultimate Poison

Chinatsu learned from Shinobu Kocho that the "Ultimate Poison" had been completed. This was one of the greatest assets in the fight against Muzan. Without it, they would never be able to enter the Infinity Castle instance on their own... and would be wiped out!

This ultimate poison was created by Tamayo and Shinobu Kocho together. Although it is called a poison, it is actually a perfect mixture of four different drugs with different effects.

The first layer is a medicine that transforms the human body.

This is the first layer of the ultimate poison's purpose: injecting this poison into Muzan's body will cause the demonic aspect of Muzan's body to gradually transform into the human aspect. If Muzan does not resist, then Muzan will transform from a demon king into a human.

Of course, Muzan wouldn't just surrender like that. After being injected with this poison, he would definitely try his best to break down the effects of the drug in his body. And when the outermost layer was peeled off, the other three hidden effects of the drug would have already penetrated into Muzan's body.

The second layer is a drug that accelerates aging!

The third layer: a drug to prevent self-destruction!

The fourth layer: a drug that destroys cells!

Under the influence of this poison composed of four different agents, Muzan's strength was weakened from being second only to Yoriichi in the Demon Slayer universe to... still second only to Yoriichi.

But at least it's not so far out of reach anymore.

"I was only responsible for a few steps in the production of this poison. The last step was completed by Tamayo, and the finished product is now in Tamayo's hands..."

As Shinobu Kocho finished speaking, Chinatsu not only regained her peak energy and spirit, but also quickly figured out what she should do next.

"I'm going to Tamayo right now. Please ask for leave for me at the training camp." After saying that, Chika hurriedly ran towards the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. Her quickness surprised Kocho Shinobu, because she could see a sense of "anxiety" in Chika's eyes.

Chika rushed out of the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters and ran non-stop toward Asakusa in Tokyo Prefecture, where Tamayo was. She ran along the road as if a strong wind had swept by.

We set off early in the morning and arrived in Asakusa, Tokyo Prefecture at noon.

This was the first time Chika had come here outside of the night. The streets were crowded with people.

However, this did not stump Chinatsu. She transformed into a "failed man," leaping and bounding across the rooftops of the surrounding buildings, and continued to walk quickly toward Tamayo's mansion.

Since it was still daytime, Tamayo, being a demon, could only stay inside her residence, and all the windows that let in sunlight were tightly closed.

After traveling non-stop, Chika landed breathlessly in front of the Tamayo residence.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

As Chika knocked on the door, a commotion immediately erupted inside the mansion. After all, Tamayo's mansion was shrouded in illusion magic, and there had never been a case of someone knocking on the door during the day before.

"It's me, Chinatsu Kamado."

The commotion inside the mansion vanished instantly, and the previously closed door peeked out through a crack, revealing one of Yushiro's eyes peeking out from within.

"Why are you here...?"

"Don't you welcome me?" Chika smiled and looked into Yushiro's eyes, which were clearly filled with a hint of resentment, and replied.

Yushiro pursed his lips. He really wanted to say "not welcome," but Tamayo was right next to her and he was also afraid of Chinatsu's fighting prowess, so he could only force a smile and say, "Welcome, of course you're welcome."

Chinatsu walked smoothly into the house, where she saw Yushiro with his fake smile and Tamayo with a happy face.

"Chika, you came so fast! I just sent the letter last night, you should have received it by morning at the earliest."

“That’s right, I only received it this morning, but I rushed over here as soon as I could.” Qianxia said, pointing to the beads of sweat on her cheek that she hadn’t wiped away.

Tamayo suddenly realized, then smiled and clapped her hands before leading Chinatsu to her laboratory. Without further ado, Tamayo knew what Chinatsu was looking forward to.

Inside Tamayo's laboratory, the ultimate poison crucial to the battle against Muzan sat quietly on the shelf. It appeared so unassuming; before seeing it with her own eyes, Chinatsu had imagined it to be five or six colors…

Chika slowly walked to the side of the experimental rack, reached out and picked up the bottle of ultimate poison. The moment she held it in her hand, it was as if she had grasped the button that would trigger the battle in the Infinite Castle.

"Tamayo, congratulations on your success." Chinatsu looked at Tamayo, who was smiling beside her, and congratulated her.

"Thanks."

Tamayo smiled and replied. Yushiro, who was standing next to her, stared blankly at Tamayo's smiling face. As the ultimate fan of Tamayo, he felt the ultimate and invincible happiness at this moment.

Yushiro loves Tamayo, and Tamayo can sense Yushiro's feelings for her. However, because Tamayo is obsessed with killing Muzan, she has never been able to truly reciprocate Yushiro's feelings.

One of the reasons Yushiro was happy at this moment was that he believed Tamayo had completed the ultimate poison that could target Muzan, indirectly fulfilling his own obsession, and that he could be with Tamayo.

But in reality, that's not the case...

"Chika, after we've finalized the plan to fight Muzan, can I be there when we actually take action against him? I want to witness Muzan's death with my own eyes!"

As Tamayo spoke, she patted her chest with one hand, and the originally happy atmosphere gradually changed, but Yushiro, who was looking at Tamayo's face, did not react immediately.

Chika listened to Tamayo's words and looked at her serious face. After pausing for two or three seconds, Chika shook her head slightly and refused Tamayo's request.

"Tamayo, leave the rest to our Demon Slayer Corps."

As Chika finished speaking, Tamayo's face trembled slightly, and she pursed her lips, wanting to speak again in rebuttal.

"Why? If I were there, I could definitely help..."

Tamayo had barely uttered a few words when Chika reached out a hand to forcefully interrupt her.

Just as Yushiro, who was standing next to Tamayo, was about to get angry at Chika for daring to interrupt Tamayo, Chika's next words were like a bucket of cold water thrown directly in his face.

"If Tamayo were here, you would surely be tempted to sacrifice your life to take Muzan down with you, so I'm sorry, I cannot grant your request, Tamayo, I don't want you to die..."
