Chapter 109 Urokodaki Sakonji's Disciple

Chapter 109 Urokodaki Sakonji's Disciple

Tanjiro Kamado looked at the huge rock in front of him and began to feel lost.

Can this rock be split open with a knife?

Tanjiro Kamado didn't think it was feasible; the sword would break. He turned his head and noticed Sakonji Urokodaki leaving.

"Wait, Mr. Urokodaki, please wait a moment."

Tanjiro Kamado shouted, but the other party did not stop and left without hesitation.

From then on, Urokodaki Sakonji never taught Kamado Tanjiro anything again.

Tanjiro Kamado began practicing frantically, following his own notes, repeating the steps taught by Sakonji Urokodaki over and over again.

Gritting my teeth, ignoring my tired and weak body, I practiced and tried again and again.

Tanjiro Kamado watched, panting heavily, his anxiety growing. Half a year had passed, and he still couldn't split the rock.

Tanjiro Kamado began to increase his training time, working harder and harder each day, and becoming increasingly anxious.

Am I incapable? Will Nezuko remain in that state and die?

Tanjiro Kamado stared intently, his hands braced against the rocks, large beads of sweat sliding down his forehead.

Are you giving up? Are you already discouraged? Are you already admitting defeat?

"Ahhh—I need to do my best! Go go go!"

Tanjiro Kamado shouted and slammed his head hard against the rock, making it tremble slightly with each thud.

"It's so noisy—".

A man with pinkish-white hair wearing a fox mask sat on a rock, holding a wooden sword, looking down at Tanjiro Kamado.

The tricolor haori with its tortoise-shell pattern fluttered slightly in the wind. He lowered his head, and the fox mask with a scar on his lip exerted immense pressure on Tanjiro Kamado. The other man clenched his wooden sword, and a clear voice rang out.

"Men shouldn't yell and shout; it's shameful."

Tanjiro Kamado stared at the other person in surprise. He was so exhausted that he hadn't even noticed when the other person had appeared there. He looked up and stared at the other person with some vigilance.

"No matter how difficult or painful it is, shut up and bear it if you're a man."

With that, he stood up, took a step forward, and attacked Tanjiro Kamado with the wooden sword in his hand.

"when--."

Tanjiro Kamado reacted quickly to block, his hand trembling slightly from the force of the impact.

Suddenly, the other party kicked Tanjiro Kamado over, and watched as Tanjiro Kamado fell to the ground.

"Slow, weak, and inexperienced, you don't look like a man at all."

"What are you doing all of a sudden?!"

Tanjiro Kamado shouted, and the man in the fox mask looked at him and coldly replied.

"I was going to ask you what you were doing."

"What are you doing... exercising?"

Tanjiro Kamado was completely bewildered by the other person. He had no idea why this strange person would suddenly appear in front of him, as he had never seen anyone else here before.

"How long are you going to lie there on the ground? Get up now."

The other person's words made Tanjiro Kamado realize that he had been in a knocked-down state the whole time. He quickly got up, his body covered in dirty dust.

"Alright, bring it on."

The man wearing the fox mask gripped his wooden sword tightly and spoke. This action startled Tanjiro Kamado, who stared at the wooden sword in the man's hand and hesitated before speaking.

"But you're holding a wooden sword, and I'm holding a real sword."

Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a loud laugh echoed in Tanjiro Kamado's ears. The man wearing the fox mask laughed and attacked Tanjiro Kamado with his sword. Even with his quick reflexes, Tanjiro Kamado was still overpowered.

"So you thought I'd get injured because of you? I'm really grateful for your concern." He pressed the wooden sword against the middle of Tanjiro's hands, who was actually gripping the hilt of the sword. The fox mask was only half a fist's distance from Tanjiro.

"You can rest assured, I'm better than you, because I can split rocks."

The other person's words distracted Tanjiro Kamado, who was knocked to the ground. He quickly stood up and gripped his sword with one hand.

“You haven’t learned anything, and nothing has been incorporated into your genes, especially the breathing technique taught by Professor Urokodaki—the total concentration breathing method.”

Tanjiro Kamado was surprised that the other person also knew Sakonji Urokodaki. As he listened, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightened involuntarily.

“You only remember it as knowledge, but your body does not experience it personally.”

As the man spoke, he raised his wooden sword and swung it at Tanjiro Kamado again and again, forcing Tanjiro to pick up his own sword to defend himself.

"I want your flesh and blood to remember completely, so that you will never forget the secrets that Master Urokodaki taught you, and to plant them deep in your bones."

Tanjiro Kamado was completely unable to withstand the opponent's fierce attacks. He was forced to retreat with each blow, and he shouted at the man in frustration.

“I am studying, I study every day, I study desperately, but now I am completely at a loss and unable to move forward.”

"Then go ahead, there's no other way. If you're a man, bring it on! Let me see your strength."

"Aaaaaaahh ...

Tanjiro Kamado gritted his teeth, shouted, and charged forward, only to be struck in the chin by the man and knocked unconscious.

The man put away the wooden sword, turned to look at Misty Mist, and said, "The rest is up to you. I haven't gone to see Urokodaki-sensei yet."

"Um."

A woman wearing a flower and fox mask emerged from the smoke. She was dressed in the Demon Slayer Corps uniform and wore a haori with a plum blossom pattern.

She had medium-length black hair, and her gaze softened as she looked at the unconscious Tanjiro Kamado on the ground. She sighed helplessly.

"Really, so many years have passed, and Sabito is still the same."

——

"Teacher Urokodaki".

Sabito slowly walked up to Urokodaki Sakonji, took off his fox mask, and looked at him with a smile.

"How are the recent tasks going?"

Urokodaki Sakonji looked at him and asked with concern.

"It's alright, but it's not as good as Giyuu."

He said calmly that after the selection process, he suffered a serious injury and was left with a hidden injury during his recovery, which prevented him from advancing any further.

“You’ve done a great job. It was my fault. I should have killed him back then, after that crimson warrior’s reminder, instead of sealing him in the trial grounds.”

As Urokodaki Sakonji sighed, he said that many of his disciples had already bowed down there.

"Who exactly is that samurai? Even though we didn't kill him, he still tormented Ghost Hand for years, leaving no trace of recovery."

Sabito remembered that if it weren't for the remaining wounds on Ghost Hand's body, he might have stayed there forever.

"Yes, I'd like to know too."

Urokodaki Sakonji still remembers that 47 years ago, before he could even make a move, a man slashed him. The man didn't use any moves, but with just a wooden sword, he cut a long bloody gash on his back, causing him to let out a shrill scream.

The other person was dressed in a fiery red haori, with calm and deep eyes. He looked at me, and I stopped the movement that was about to cut off the demon's neck. I turned around and slowly walked away.

Urokodaki Sakonji could sense the opponent's powerful aura, as scorching as the sun. He went up to check on the Demon Hand; the wounds on the opponent's back were healing very slowly, and he could still feel the residual aura constantly eroding it.

He was thinking that if the other party had slashed down with that knife, Ghost Hand would definitely have died, or if the other party hadn't been holding a wooden knife, what was in front of him now would be gradually dissipating ashes.
