Chapter 136 Joining the Battle

Chapter 136 Joining the Battle

Yoriichi Tsugikuni looked at it without any emotional fluctuation. He had noticed the difference in the train before, so he was not surprised.

"Brother, I'll go help."

Yuichiro Tokito frowned as he felt the train swaying. After speaking to Iwakatsu, he picked up his Nichirin Blade, opened the carriage door, and left.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni wielded a wooden sword, slashing at the constantly reaching arms around him, the slashes creating a blazing sun-like effect.

Kaiyue stood there, his face grim. He wasn't currently on a mission, so he wasn't supposed to help. He thought of that good-for-nothing who was crying and clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction.

"Sir, I'll go take a look."

After Kaigaku finished speaking to Iwakatsu, he turned around and rushed over. He just wanted to see if the other party was dead or not, since there was no danger for him now.

Watching the two leave, Yoriichi Tsugikuni carried Iwakatsu to the back of the car, trying his best to conceal his presence and avoid being noticed by the demon.

Tamayo once told him, "Never let a demon see your face. That cowardly Muzan Kibutsuji will definitely hide even deeper after seeing you from other demons."

When Iwakatsu saw that Yoriichi Tsugikuni had no intention of helping, he breathed a sigh of relief. Otherwise, if he had been exposed, he would have had to get into a fight.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni held Iwakatsu tightly. His wooden sword began to shatter from his use, so he could only leap onto the roof of the carriage, where he could see the figures inside.

"Brother, please do not send any signals."

Yoriichi's words drew a disapproving glance from Iwakatsu, who then turned to look at the train's otherwise unremarkable exterior, sensing the chaotic atmosphere below.

Yuichiro Tokito saw Kyojuro Rengoku coming towards him, noticed the arm that had grown out of the other's back, and without hesitation, he flashed out and cut it off with his sword.

"You're Tokito's older brother! You're really strong too!"

Seeing that Ichiro was moving extremely fast, Rengoku Kyojuro stepped forward and patted him on the shoulder.

"Kamado and the others are in front. I'll guard the five carriages. Kamado's sister and the blond-haired boy are guarding the first three. Go and help them."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a sound came from behind, accompanied by fragments of a severed arm, and Kaigaku brushed past the two of them.

"I'll help them watch the first four quarters."

Kyojuro Rengoku hadn't expected there to be anyone else. Looking at the Nichirin Blade in the other person's hand, he knew that this person was a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.

As Tokito Yuichiro watched Kaigaku leave, he nodded to Rengoku Kyojuro: "Then I'll leave the next four sections to you, and we'll take care of the earlier ones."

"Alright! I have high hopes for you, Tokito-san."

Kyojuro Rengoku did not refuse. After speaking, he quickly disappeared from the spot, moving swiftly like a fiery tornado as he drew his sword.

Tokito Yuichiro let out a long sigh of relief and quickly severed the human hands that had grown out around him; the shattered fragments made him feel nauseous.

"Tanjiro!"

He ran and shouted, the strong wind constantly weakening his voice but also bringing him discomfort.

None of the demons he had ever seen were weak, but his long-term association with Yan Sheng had led him to unnecessary misunderstandings. Demons all possessed a disgusting and violent aura; not all demons were as calm and undisturbed as Yan Sheng.

"Ichiro? I'm here!"

As Ichiro kept calling out, the sound reached Tanjiro, who felt slightly relieved to see Ichiro running towards him at an extremely fast speed.

"Cook, you're here too! That's the demon's weak point just ahead."

Inosuke's voice came from above. Ichiro's veins bulged as he heard it, and he shouted as the shards of food fell: "Who are you calling a cook, you boar head?!"

Tanjiro Kamado ran forward with Ichiro and saw Zenitsu struggling to cut through the spreading flesh. Suddenly, two arms appeared behind Zenitsu and reached for him, causing his pupils to shrink.

"Zenitsu!"

"Pfft—".

A flash of black lightning passed in front of him, and the black-haired boy instantly severed it, his wide sleeves stained with blood.

"Brother Zenitsu!"

"Don't call me that!"

Kaigaku shouted irritably. He didn't know why he had come over. He looked at Zenitsu, who was moving quickly with his eyes closed, and turned around in frustration.

Is this what talent is?

"Tanjiro, in front."

Yuichiro Tokito shouted a warning, and Tanjiro quickly moved forward. The front of the car was right in front of him, and a nauseating smell surrounded Tanjiro's nose.

When they arrived, they saw Inosuke surrounded by arms, with more and more hands forming around him and climbing up his body.

"Breathing of the Moon, Form 5, Lunar Calamity Vortex".

The red blade, adorned with a golden crescent moon, moved forward like a tornado, severing Inosuke's arm and freeing him from his predicament.

"Water Breathing, Land Form, Twisting Vortex".

Tanjiro slashed out one after another, quickly severing the remaining arms, and then stopped beside them.

He frowned, the nauseating smell emanating from beneath his feet. He turned and shouted, "Right below, is the head of a demon!"

"I understand, move aside."

Yuichiro Tokito could also sense it, and he quickly drew his sword from his waist and swung it.

"Breath of the Moon - First Form - Dark Moon Palace".

A swift strike cleaved through the ground and the fleshy walls, revealing the white bones with veins beneath. Tanjiro swung his sword down, only to sever the rapidly regenerating flesh.

"Beast Breathing - Second Fang - Blade Clash".

Inosuke severed the hand that was about to attack Tanjiro, then turned and swung his sword, tearing off a piece of flesh.

"I'll clear the way for you, you cut it down!"

"Tokito Ichiro shouted, and the Nichirin Blade in his hand trembled as his movements became faster and faster.

“Alright, Inosuke, let’s coordinate our attacks. One of you will cut the flesh, and the other will chop the bones.”

"That sounds good, let me give you a compliment."

Inosuke cleaved through the attached flesh with his sword, revealing the white bone beneath. Just as Tanjiro raised his sword to swing it down, several eyeballs appeared in front of him.

Forced drowsiness/sleep - eyes

"You can wake up by committing suicide in your dream!"

Tanjiro only had time to utter that one sentence before he fell into a daze. Ichiro twisted his body and swung his sword down, slicing open several eyeballs at once.

"Chef, are you alright?"

"I cut myself in that instant."

Ichiro gripped his sword tightly, a long gash running down his arm, blood gushing out. He turned his head and saw a flash of cold light, swiftly grabbing Tanjiro's hand that was swinging towards his neck.

"What are you doing! Wake up! Is your head just for showing off your height?!"

Inosuke swung his sword and severed the arm of the man who had stepped forward, then turned to Tanjiro and shouted, "This is reality, don't fall for it! Don't die such a boring death!"

Tanjiro realized what was happening and saw the train conductor lurking behind Inosuke. He hesitated, his hand about to swing his sword.

"careful!"

The train conductor noticed Tanjiro's movement, shifted his arm, and swiftly thrust the dagger towards him. Ichiro pulled sharply, causing the train to lurch, and the dagger, following the conductor's unsteady stance, plunged straight into his right shoulder, blood gushing out.

"Ichiro?!"

Tanjiro shouted, and Ichiro raised his sword, took a deep breath, and swung it down towards the area encased in flesh.

The red blade pointed vertically downwards, but because of Ichiro's trembling arm, the Nichirin Blade snapped in two, revealing the partially severed white bone.

The carriage began to shake violently, and Tokito Ichiro was thrown against the wall, causing the dagger to penetrate even deeper.

"Damn it, it hurts so much! Quick! Don't let it recover!"

"Beast Breathing - Fang of Fury - Shattered Blades Fall".

Inosuke leaped up and cleaved the wrapped-up ball of flesh open again with a single stroke, revealing half of the broken bone. Tanjiro gritted his teeth; the stiffness in his body made movement difficult, and he thought of his father.

"Hinokami Kagura: Azure Heaven".

Like a perfect arc of the sun slashing down, followed by a slash through the already injured gap, all Yuichiro could see was the circular flame.

"Sun Breathing?"
