Chapter 71 Jade Pot and Doji
After thinking for a moment, Iwakatsu realized that before the story even began, the two most important points were the six Upper Moons and the inheritance of the Sun Breathing technique.
Oh, and we still need to keep the scumbag boss alive; the Ghost King's death would cause everything to collapse.
Yan Sheng actually wanted things to stay like this, just lazing around until the main storyline started. According to what 1008 had said before, everything would end quickly and return to normal until the main storyline began.
People are hypocritical. After realizing he belonged to this world, Yan Sheng saw everything differently. If before it felt like a game, now it felt like reality.
He is indifferent to strangers, yet unable to take action himself, much like a hypocrite.
Iwakatsu picked up the illusory sword and swung it repeatedly, as if he were just learning. He didn't have all of Iwakatsu's memories; there was always a layer between them, seemingly transparent yet impenetrable.
Did Yoriichi Tsugikuni encounter Tanjiro Kamado?
Yan Sheng asked 1008, wanting to complete these three necessary milestones as soon as possible. If possible, he wanted to find a place to stay until the main storyline began.
"We ran into each other a long time ago."
1008 answered reluctantly, expressing deep helplessness at Iwakatsu's idea. It would not forget that for the sake of the mission, Iwakatsu had brought Mei and Gyutaro from Doma and trained them as demons for two whole months, raising them all the way to the position of Lower Moon Two.
Iwakatsu stopped swinging his sword, looking at the mission progress which had now reached (4/6). Two days prior, Hantengu had devoured Upper Moon Four, recruited by Muzan Kibutsuji. The sudden surprise almost made Iwakatsu think he was seeing things.
Only the jade pot is left.
Iwakatsu had confidence in the Xie Hua siblings, while he himself had only seen Gyokuko once in a long time, when Muzan Kibutsuji wanted to check out the newly added business.
Since the last plan failed, Muzan Kibutsuji hasn't called Kokushibo (Iwakatsu) by name, which Kokushibo finds rather strange. But then again, according to the original story, Muzan Kibutsuji wouldn't call Kokushibo unless there was a specific reason.
Yan Sheng made a decision: he would go and see Yu Hu later to find out how the other party was doing and also to clear his mind.
Although he wanted to change the plot, he had already gone through most of it before, and there was no way to make a move before the main storyline started. Yan Sheng felt like the sky was about to fall.
"Never mind, I'll stop thinking about it now," Yan Sheng shook his head, clearing his mind of those thoughts. After saying goodbye to Nakime, a wooden door opened in front of him.
Yan Sheng passed through the wooden door and arrived at the bustling alley entrance. He straightened his clothes, disguised himself, and then left the alley to blend into the crowd.
Many of the people passing by were wearing shirts and trousers, a stark contrast to the previous situation where most people wore kimonos. Iwakatsu subtly observed them, noticing that some even had strikingly defined features.
This seems to be a prime commercial area, with exquisitely decorated shops everywhere. Yan Sheng noticed many people entering and leaving the shops in the distance, completely surprised by the large flow of people.
This is a shop that specializes in selling decorative arts. It stands out for its high-end and unique designs. Every item sold has its own unique pattern, and no two are the same.
Iwakatsu had to admit that Kibutsuji Muzan was quite something; he had a knack for business and understanding the mindset of the wealthy.
Yan Sheng also remembers one time when he stood next to the other person and listened to him look at the data and say sarcastically, "Some people are just asking for trouble. They will buy a piece of high-end art that others praise just to save face, but in fact they don't understand anything about it."
It's hard to judge; although what they said makes sense, it's also too harsh to hear.
Yan Sheng followed the shop assistant into the store. Before arriving, Yan Sheng had already explained to Yu Hu why he was there.
"Sir, Master Yuhu is inside, so I'll take my leave now."
"Um."
The man bowed slightly and left in another direction. Before Iwakatsu could knock, the door was opened. Iwakatsu was a little confused to see Doma, who was wearing a red shirt and a black cloak, standing in front of him.
"It's Lord Kokushibo! Lord Gyokukō told me that an important person was coming today. So it was you~."
With a smile, Douma made way for Iwakatsu and walked briskly inside, skillfully leading Iwakatsu to the hidden door while still chattering away.
"Lord Kokushibo, Lord Gyokko's designs are truly stunning. I can't help but come and admire them. And that..."
Iwakatsu automatically ignored Doma's nonsense, glanced around, and indeed it was quite impressive. One could see the talent of the jade pot; the surroundings were exquisitely detailed. However, the increasingly strong smell of blood told Iwakatsu that this wasn't all.
"Oh my, Lord Kokushibo, please forgive me for not going to greet you. Lord Doma is just too hospitable."
Yan Sheng watched Yu Hu's little hands moving up and down, feeling a little uncomfortable. He still found it difficult to accept this kind of abstract art.
"Lord Kokushibo's arrival is just in time; this is a new approach I've been trying recently."
As the jade pot swam, it looked at the soft, sticky body, then took out several finely crafted cups and placed them on a table covered with a white cloth.
"Wow~ This is so beautiful."
Tongmo took one and examined it closely, exclaiming in exaggerated admiration. He already had a pot there, a gift from Yuhu during their last meeting. It was exquisite and Tongmo loved it very much, and he even placed his favorite skull on it.
"Of course, it's made by grinding women's bones into powder and mixing them together, resulting in a particularly good coloring effect."
Yu Hu has a special fondness for his own work, and when he talks about it, he begins to recount it with pride.
Originally, I was thinking of taking away a tea-drinking Iwakatsu: ...
He still couldn't understand the demon's hobbies. Kokushi looked at Gyokko, who was still Lower Moon Four, which gave Kokushi a major headache. Gyokko's skills were not bad, but he was too obsessed with art and had never paid attention to anyone except Muzan Kibutsuji.
"Lord Kokushibo, what brings you here so suddenly?"
Doma's colorful eyes looked at Iwakatsu, and the hand holding the cup drooped slightly.
"After cultivating for a long time, one can casually... take a look."
Yan Sheng looked down into those eyes and answered directly that he was actually quite free right now because he didn't want to do anything.
"Oh, that's great! I heard there's an event going on these days, let's go check it out together."
Doma suggested, saying he was very interested in such things. Iwakatsu was also somewhat interested; ever since Nakime appeared, he had been either working or in the Infinity Castle and hadn't had a chance to explore properly. Now that he was in the New World, he figured he might as well look around.
"OK…"
The two demons hit it off immediately and decided to stroll around the streets, but Gyoku-ko declined Doma's invitation, as he still needed to collect new materials.
"What a pity~ But it was still a very enjoyable experience to be with Lord Kokushibo."
