Chapter 65 In a Dire Situation

Chapter 65 In a Dire Situation

On the day of the seminar, Iwakatsu saw Muzan Kibutsuji leaning against the wooden door, his movements very hesitant, and the door showed no sign of opening.

"Wumei...sir."

Iwakatsu hesitated, wanting to speak but stopping himself. The scumbag boss had been at this stalemate for almost fifteen minutes. He felt that if this dragged on any longer, Koike would give in and run off with the others.

According to reports, this seminar was the only time he appeared in public; his whereabouts at other times were uncertain. Even at a time like this, the fact that this scoundrel could hesitate suggests that Yoriichi Tsugikuni's shadow over Muzan Kibutsuji is even larger than Iwakatsu imagined.

"Kuroshibo, you and Hoshino Hakuon go out first."

Kibutsuji Muzan made up his mind, opened the wooden door and threw Hoshino Shiroine out, then turned to Iwakatsu and said.

Well, let's just say this:

Iwakatsu felt that the other side didn't need to do this at all; after all, even combined, they couldn't beat Yoriichi Tsugikuni. If Hoshino Shiroe couldn't control herself, they would all be doomed.

He looked helplessly at the resolute Muzan Kibutsuji, then stepped out of the wooden door, where a vast expanse of forest came into view.

Iwakatsu knew this place; it was at the foot of the mountain very close to the town. He turned to look at Kibutsuji Muzan, who was still dawdling, and really wanted to cover his face.

Why don't you stick your head out and attract attention? Otherwise, how can you guarantee that Yoriichi will rush over soon?

Anyway, Iwakatsu didn't think he was as attractive as that scoundrel. After much deliberation, Kibutsuji Muzan finally emerged from the wooden door, for the sake of his grand plan.

Iwakatsu knew that, according to the procedure, the seminar had already begun. The plan of the scum boss was to wait for Yoriichi Tsugikuni to arrive, then use Hoshino Hakuon's Blood Demon Art to forcibly control him, after which Muzan Kibutsuji would rush to the seminar through the wooden door and pack up the materials and people with his third brother.

Just as Iwakatsu was beginning to doubt the viability of the plan, he sensed that intense heat rapidly approaching.

Glancing at the scumbag boss who was forcibly trying to remain calm, Iwakatsu began to silently mourn for Hoshino Shiroine, knowing that she would be beheaded the moment Yoriichi Tsugikuni regained consciousness.

——

On the other side, while Yoriichi Tsugikuni was still waiting for Sakura Asai and Shujuro Rengoku, he suddenly sensed that violent and repulsive aura. The strong smell of blood mixed in was something he would never forget, and he looked up in that direction.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni looked at the two people running towards him, nodded slightly, and said to them, "Let's go."

Then he immediately turned around and, almost in an instant, caught the two off guard.

"Hey! Mr. Yoriichi!"

Sakura Asai watched Yoriichi Tsugikuni disappear into the crowd at an astonishing speed, and she couldn't stop him no matter how hard she tried.

Rengoku Shujuro stepped forward, patted the back of her head, took the dumpling she had just bought, ate it, and then followed after her.

"Sakura, come on, hurry up and catch up."

Sakura Asai then realized that they had planned this all along, right after meeting Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Umi Amakata and Kaede Koike then went to the seminar, where they would work together with Yoriichi Tsugikuni to deal with Muzan Kibutsuji.

The two of them sped off in the direction where Yoriichi Tsugikuni had disappeared.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni, following the aura that leaped across the rooftops, rapidly approached the persistent presence. He also found it strange; in previous encounters, the aura would immediately flee, but this time it remained motionless.

I don't want to think about it anymore.

After crossing the town's perimeter, Kuniyoshi stepped into this familiar mountain forest. In his memory, a long, long time ago, he often played here with his older brother.

Just as Yoriichi was reminiscing, he faintly heard a slow melody coming from the woods, like a hallucination that would occasionally ring out.

His clear vision could only see a purple figure standing in the dense woods. He hurried forward for a long time, listening to the song, but his mind began to become muddled.

What was he here for? To complete a mission? With his brother?

Iwakatsu could clearly sense that Yoriichi Tsugikuni was slowing down, until the other man walked into his field of vision. The other man stood there like a puppet, without any command, without making any movement.

Rengoku Shujuro and Asai Sakura rushed over and saw Yoriichi Tsugikuni standing there without any reaction, while his leisurely singing voice echoed in their ears.

"Mr. Yoriichi!"

Sakura Asai tried to wake the other person, but to no avail, which made her want to find the demon and kill her immediately.

"You guys... should worry about... the other side."

Yan Sheng came out and looked at the two of them seriously, causing them to stiffen involuntarily.

Rengoku Shujuro looked at Iwakatsu, who had turned and left after speaking, with mixed feelings. He gritted his teeth, grabbed Asai Sakura, and hurried towards the seminar.

"Mr. Purgatory? Why?"

Sakura Asai asked, puzzled, that their mission was led by Rengoku. Despite her doubts, she followed Rengoku Shujuro away.

"He is implying to us that Muzan went to the seminar."

Rengoku Shujuro was moving faster and faster, eager to get there immediately; for the two of them to face Kibutsuji Muzan was practically suicide. Asai Sakura was still a little worried, after all, Yoriichi Tsugikuni was right there without any reaction.

"Yan Sheng won't kill him."

Rengoku Shujuro understood Asai Sakura's concerns, but based on their previous interactions, he judged that she wouldn't kill Tsugikuni Yoriichi, at least not very likely. Even if she did, Tsugikuni Yoriichi's conditioned reflexes were not to be underestimated.

He remembered a time when he was with that demon, whose Blood Demon Art was hypnosis. Just as the demon was about to take the opportunity to kill Yoriichi Tsugikuni, he saw Yoriichi Tsugikuni, with his eyes closed, have his body severed with a single slash as if it had received a command.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni was plunged into darkness. He didn't know why he was there, and his memories were in complete disarray.

He could hear someone calling him. The surrounding blackness remained unchanged, only the voice grew louder and louder.

"Yoriichi, Yoriichi—".

Yoriichi Tsugikuni struggled to open his eyes and saw a little boy with big, open eyes standing in front of him.

The other person was wearing a purple kimono, with a high ponytail and bangs parted in the middle that swayed with his movements. His bloodshot eyes were full of worry.

The other person had half their body leaning over the small doorway, looking up at him, their worried voice reaching his ears.

"Yoriichi, what's wrong?"

Yoriichi tilted his head, and he noticed his hair falling onto Yoriichi's face as he moved. He wanted to speak, but no words came out; he simply stared at Yoriichi.

As the boy watched Yoriichi's actions, his eyebrows and eyes involuntarily curved into a smile. He gently brushed aside the hair that was covering Yoriichi's eyes with his small, fair hands.

"Yoriichi, I am Iwakatsu, you know, my older brother!"
