An Er nodded, cupped his hands in greeting to Yun Zhi, and said, "Your subordinate An Er greets Your Highness."
Yunzhi laughed. He really was one of Dongli Lucang's men. It seemed he was truly worried about her constantly, fearing something might happen to her.
"Where is your lord?" Yunzhi continued to ask. She felt that since even her own guards had been sent, there was no way Dongli Lu Cang wouldn't come.
Unexpectedly, An Er replied, "The prince is still in the palace."
Yunzhi felt a little disappointed upon hearing this. She had thought that Lu Cang from Dongli would also come, and planned to introduce him to her uncle's family once he arrived. But unexpectedly, he didn't come.
"Your Highness, this is what I should do. Please don't be so polite."
Yunzhi didn't ask An Er any more questions, but instead turned to look at the two survivors lying on the ground. Both of them had brought quite a few men with them, intending to kill her, but she didn't know whose men they were.
Therefore, Yunzhi squatted down in front of one of them, took the long sword from Rulan's hand, gently patted the other person's face, and asked, "Tell me, who is your master?"
The man glanced at Yunzhi but remained silent. He felt a pang of regret, regretting his arrogance and his failure to respect Yunzhi and those around her.
Didn't we suffer a huge loss?
Not only were all the people she brought with her dead, but she herself had also become a prisoner. After she finished questioning him, she would definitely have to go and keep the others company.
Therefore, he didn't want to speak, thinking he could stall for time as long as possible. As long as he didn't talk, Yunzhi would definitely not kill him.
"Not going to talk?" Yunzhi looked at him coldly, then took out a pill from her body and said, "You're asking for it, then don't blame me for being ruthless."
"Miss, let me feed him." Rulan saw Yunzhi take out the poison and offered to do it for her. She didn't want her mistress to get her hands dirty, as the man was covered in filth from the fight.
“Alright!” Yunzhi did not refuse and directly gave the poison to Rulan.
Upon seeing the poison, the man's face turned pale with fright. He slid backward while asking, "What are you going to do?"
"Since you're so stubborn, I'll naturally give you something good to try," Rulan replied with a smile, holding the poison in her hand.
"You, you mustn't do anything rash!" The man was terrified. He wasn't stupid; how could he not see that it was poison? He had originally planned to resist it, hoping to buy himself some more time. Now, seeing the poison in Rulan's hand, he knew his wishful thinking had failed.
Therefore, before Rulan could even feed him the poison, he immediately said, "Don't poison me! I'll talk, I'll talk, okay?"
"It would have been better if you had done this earlier. You had to refuse a toast only to suffer the consequences." Rulan snorted coldly, looking displeased.
However, she didn't feed the other party any more poison. Instead, she glanced at her master and urged, "Speak quickly!"
"It is Young Master Shi."
Yunzhi was taken aback. After thinking for a while, she remembered whose surname was Shi, so she asked, "Shi Qingyun, the eldest son of the Princess's residence?"
"Yes, he's the one who sent us."
"Judging from your appearance, you don't seem to be someone raised by the Princess's residence."
"No, we were originally just ordinary thugs in the capital, but we were later taken in by Young Master Shi. We were there to handle some shady things for him."
Upon hearing this, Yunzhi nodded and said, "Since you're so sensible, I'll give you a complete corpse."
Upon hearing that Yunzhi intended to kill him, the man immediately became frightened and kowtowed to Yunzhi, pleading, "Grandma, spare my life!"
