She didn't want to bring danger to her uncle's family.
"I think it's better not to." In the end, Yunzhi waved her hand and refused, "I can go by myself. You can go do what you need to do. Don't worry, I can protect myself."
Yunzhi's refusal left Dongli Lucang somewhat disappointed, but he had no intention of leaving. Therefore, he looked at Yunzhi and said with a smile, "Zhizhi, I'm not busy. I'll go with you."
Seeing Dongli Lucang's insistence, Yunzhi had no choice but to give in.
So, Dongli Lu Cang rode his horse and followed Yunzhi forward. He didn't know what Yunzhi was going to do, but he knew that with him by her side, those people would definitely have reservations.
Furthermore, given what he had Mingyi do, neither the emperor nor anyone else would dare to take action against him in the short term.
The group traveled for about two more hours before encountering a caravan. Seeing the insignia on the caravan, Rulan smiled and turned to Yunzhi, saying, "Miss, we see the Xu family's caravan."
"Go and ask if it's your uncle or his family."
"Okay," Rulan replied, then quickly jumped off the carriage and headed towards the caravan.
As soon as she approached, a servant recognized her and greeted her with a smile, "Miss Rulan, it's you! Where's Miss Zhizhi?"
"Is my young lady in the carriage? Are my uncle and the others with the caravan?"
"Yes, I'll go inform the master and the others right away." After saying that, the servant quickly headed towards the middle. The carriages in the middle belonged to Xu Liang, Yunzhi's uncle.
Rulan didn't wait there, but returned to her carriage and told Yunzhi the news.
Upon hearing this, Yunzhi recognized it as her uncle's carriage and immediately got off, then ran towards the caravan.
When Yunzhi arrived, Xu Liang had already gotten off the carriage. Seeing Yunzhi rushing towards him, a smile instantly spread across his face. He said, "Zhizhi, what brings you here?"
"Uncle, I've come to pick you up!" Yunzhi said happily. She grew up in the Xu family, and her uncle Xu Liang gave her the fatherly love she lacked.
"Look at you, what are you doing coming all this way? It's not like we don't know the way." Xu Liang said this, but he was actually quite happy inside.
"Oh dear, I just missed you all. By the way, where are my aunt and cousin?" Yunzhi said, glancing towards the carriage behind them.
As soon as Yunzhi finished speaking, her cousin Xu Cheng's voice came over.
"Zhizhi, we're here."
Yunzhi looked up at the young man on horseback, a smile returning to her face, and greeted him, "Big Cousin, Second Cousin."
After Yunzhi greeted the two men, she was about to ask about her aunt, Jiang, when she heard Xu Liang say, "Your aunt isn't feeling well and is staying in the carriage."
Upon hearing this, Yunzhi immediately became anxious. She quickly ran to Jiang's carriage, lifted the curtain, and peeked out to ask, "Aunt, are you alright?"
"It's nothing serious, I just caught a slight cold on the way." Jiang smiled, looking at Yunzhi with gentle eyes.
Although Yunzhi wasn't her biological daughter, she raised her from a young age, and she was no different from her own daughter.
"Let me take a look at you," Yunzhi said as she quickly got into the carriage. Before even sitting down, she immediately began to take Jiang's pulse.
"Aunt, it's alright, I'll give you a few acupuncture needles."
After saying that, Yunzhi poked her head out again and called out to Rulan, "Rulan, bring me my medicine box."
