Chapter 30 Qin Lan is sick



After dawn, Qin Lan and I packed up briefly and went to cut trees nearby.

This project was much simpler to carry out, after all, there were trees everywhere.

My idea is quite simple. I told Qin Lan about it and got her consent.

We plan to build a shed outside the cave, with the back of the shed leaning against the cave. This way, we can live outside the cave when it doesn't rain, and hide inside the cave when it rains.

But such a project took the two of us nearly half a month.

During this half month, I slept outside every night, and before I knew it, I felt like I was going to get rheumatism.

After the shed was built, everything looked much more comfortable. Fortunately, we finally had our own home after so many days.

One day when I was about to go out, Qin Lan stumbled and fell to the ground. This scared me and I hurried forward to help her.

"What's wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?"

Seeing Qin Lan's haggard appearance, I felt extremely nervous, fearing that something might happen to her.

"I... feel completely exhausted."

Qin Lan's lips were pale, and I could feel that her entire skin had lost its vitality.

"That's impossible. Even though we haven't been eating much lately, we're hardly hungry."

Seeing Qin Lan’s painful expression, my heart instantly twisted together, but what exactly went wrong?

I couldn't figure it out, but when I was about to give Qin Lan some water, I finally found the answer.

"It's salt! You haven't had any salt in ages."

After understanding the root cause, I settled Qin Lan down and went out with the coconut bowl.

As for why I was fine, I drank a small amount of sea water because I had a dry cough on the road when I was looking for food a few days ago. Maybe that's why I was fine.

Our residence was halfway up the mountain, quite a distance from the beach, and it took me nearly two hours to go back and forth.
