Chapter 38 Big wooden barrel

There are many natural trees with exposed gum around the cave where we live, which is the best sealing colloid.

The gum of some trees has solidified at this time, but it doesn’t matter. There is a whole forest in front of me, and the amount of gum is inexhaustible.

I took the bamboo bowl I had prepared in advance and collected the gum from each tree one by one.

This process took me about an hour, but of course the effort paid off, and I returned to the cave with three full bowls of gum.

Although the amount of glue is far from enough for this big wooden barrel, I am very clear about the power of this stuff. Just a very thin layer is enough to fill the gaps tightly.

I made a shovel with a bamboo stick in advance. I put the shovel in the gum and stirred it repeatedly, and then applied the gum evenly on the wall of the barrel layer by layer.

After applying one layer, there was still more than half of the gum left, which was what I had not expected at first. Anyway, the rest could not be wasted, so I applied all the gum in one go.

After applying the gum, in order to make it solidify quickly, I took out a piece of charcoal from the stove. The increased temperature can accelerate the solidification of the gum.

After a whole day of hard work, I finally finished my wooden barrel. The next step is to wait for Qin Lan to come back and give her a surprise.

The night gradually became hazy, but Qin Lan was still nowhere to be seen.

"Nothing will happen to this girl, right?"

I stood at the door and paced back and forth. It was getting dark soon. If Qin Lan didn't come back, I would go look for her.

But just when I was losing my temper and was about to go out to look for Qin Lan, a rustling sound was heard not far in front of me.

About two minutes later, a familiar figure appeared in my sight.

At this time, Qin Lan was covered in dust, and the backpack behind her was bulging.

Seeing Qin Lan in such a mess, I rushed forward with heartache and took the backpack from her back.

“How did you end up like this?”

I quickly wiped the dirt off her face bit by bit.

"On my way back, I fell into a big pit. Someone in the pit got me all dirty."

Qin Lan looked at the mud and dust on her body with disgust, her face full of apology.

"I'll sleep outside tonight. I'm too dirty."

Qin Lan stood outside the house, looking at herself so dirty and refused to go in.

"What are you looking at? Come inside."

I stood at the door and looked at this silly girl who was at a loss. Her conflicted look was really cute.

"Don't worry, just come in. I guarantee you'll have a good sleep tonight."

Without waiting for Qin Lan to react, I pulled her into the cave.

“Ding ding ding ding, surprise.”

I took Qin Lan to the big wooden barrel and introduced it to her proudly.

"This...this is what you did, right?"

Qin Lan excitedly circled the wooden barrel several times, her eyes full of disbelief.

"Take a nice bath tonight so you can have a good sleep."
