Now that we know the places where rabbits must pass, the next step is to set traps. Rabbits are very cunning creatures. Normally, setting a rope trap only requires a piece of metal wire, but the conditions at this time do not allow it, and we do not have the metal wire to complete this great feat. However, according to my observation, there is a kind of thin vine that can act as a metal wire.
This thin vine is green all over, thin and very long, but its toughness is excellent, so you can give it a try.
This trap is incredibly simple, I basically just make a noose and when the prey tries to get through it their body pulls on the noose, which then tightens around their neck and either entangles them or strangles them.
During normal winters, many men in the north would take metal buckles to the mountains to set rope traps. As long as the ropes were placed properly, they would basically be able to harvest game that winter. This is why hunters often set noose traps on animal trails.
Animals often move back and forth along the trail, which can trigger traps. You can also use sticks or branches to block the traps, guiding the prey toward them and preventing them from circumventing them.
