26. Stay at my uncle's house

26. Stay at my uncle's house

Chu Yanhui's face flushed with anger at his teasing smile. She lowered her eyes, her almond-shaped eyes concealing shyness.

She awkwardly took his hand away: "No, don't touch my face..."

He has a tough face and rarely smiles, looking cold and serious. But when he smiles, he looks very youthful, with two canine teeth.

She likes it very much.

"What are you laughing at..."

Gu He looked at her: "You are so cute."

The girl's eyes were pink from crying, and her face was flushed because of his love words. She looked like a plate of hot steamed rice cake, which made people feel both pity and desire to be ravaged.

His heart moved slightly, and he pressed her on the sofa to taste the pastry soaked in his sweet words.

"Yan Hui, believe me, I only love you."

I agreed to be with her because of her pitiful appearance, and I have never regretted it until now.

Women will be obedient if you coax them.

How easy to control!

Chu Yanhui had no idea what her boyfriend was thinking when he kept saying "love". She was moved by him and no longer doubted his feelings for her.

There is a saying that goes, "Trust a man when you employ him, and don't employ a man if you don't trust him." Since she chose to trust him, she can no longer think that he is fickle, as that would be a kind of harm to him.

From then on, she was in a good mood.

This good mood was shattered by something she had never expected at the end of the year.

"Wow, uncle has so many fish!"

The girl stood before a nearly 100-meter-long, built-in aquarium that covered an entire wall of the villa. She marveled as she walked. The azure waters were filled with vibrant corals, reefs and pink jellyfish floated, and the tails of a variety of tropical fish stirred the ripples. The beauty took her breath away.

“It’s like bringing an entire aquarium into your home!”

"Do you like it? These are all deep-sea fish species."

Fu Rongshen looked at the girl's raised face with a smile. Her glasses reflected a deep blue shadow, like a dream.

He remembered clearly that when she was a child, she held the fairy tale book "The Little Mermaid" and told him that she liked watching the deep-sea fish swimming, which was a kind of spectacular beauty.

"It's beautiful, but I think... I'd be freer in the sea."

Chu Yan looked back at a palm-sized fish swimming with its tail dragging. It was swimming, but was trapped in this place. Even though it could gain comfort and security, it could not change the essence of losing its freedom.

It's like a bird in a cage.

Looking at the inexplicable sadness.

Realizing her words were out of place, she quickly added, "But being free from competition here is also good..."

The man walked forward without changing his movements, but he opened his thin lips slightly and said something cryptic: "I understand."

During dinner, he suddenly asked:

"If it were up to you, would you choose comfort or danger?"

"I have been walking on a dangerous road for a long time, uncle." She answered with a smile on her lips.

Her answer was to get what she wanted through her own efforts without relying on anyone else.

The cold wind blew against the floor-to-ceiling glass, bringing with it heavy snow.

By the time she realized it, it was already white outside.

"It's snowing so heavily, and the roads are hard to walk on. Didn't you say you didn't have to work overtime today? Why don't you stay with me tonight? There are plenty of rooms on the third floor, you can take your pick."

Fu Rongshen glanced at the falling snow outside the window and suggested.

He had driven her here, and his own car was still in the company parking garage. Asking him to take her home in the pouring rain was indeed a bit too much. Chu Yanhui thought for a moment, a look of hesitation on his face.

"What's wrong? Do you have any concerns?" He saw her embarrassment at a glance and asked in a gentle voice.

"Are you worried about your boyfriend worrying? You can give him a call and tell him if that's the case."

Chu Yanhui's thoughts were seen through and he nodded awkwardly.

When the call was connected, she stood up and walked to the French window. She covered her lips with her hands and said to Gu He, "Ah He, it's snowing heavily tonight so I won't go back. I'll stay at a friend's house for the time being."

Fu Rongshen looked at her back, and saw from the reflection of the glass window that she was cautious for fear of being heard. His eyes darkened and he pursed his lips.

What sweet words are you saying that make you so afraid that I can hear them?

The hand holding the cup tightened, almost crushing it with force.

Chu Yanhui was so cautious because she was lying. Initially, Fu Rongshen had tried his best to stop her from falling in love too early, but she hadn't told Gu He about her relationship with Fu Rongshen in order to avoid angering him, and she still hadn't spoken about it.

No matter who looked at it, she and Fu Rongshen had nothing in common, and Ah He would be angry if he knew what happened back then, so it was better not to tell anyone.

Staying at a friend's house temporarily is a lie that is very easy to expose.

Ah He knew that she had few friends, and her only close friend was Fu Zhiju. And a quick check would reveal that Zhiju was not in the country.

But for some reason, the other party didn't notice and said impatiently: "Okay, okay, I got it. Hang up!"

When she was about to hang up, she suddenly heard a call from the other end of the phone, accompanied by an almost inaudible female voice:

"Ahe, hold me tight, I'm scared..."

This voice is Huo Sisi!

Chu Yanhui's expression froze for a moment.

Before I could react, the call was cut off by the other party: "Beep...beep..."

"What's wrong? You don't look well. Did he ask you to go back tonight?" A man in a neatly-tied suit, shirt and tie came over and asked carefully and concernedly.

"No, nothing... nothing."

The girl said this in a daze and walked towards the dining table.

When I picked up my chopsticks again, all the delicious food on the table tasted like chewing wax and was tasteless.

Fu Rongshen saw that she hadn't eaten much and asked, "Do you want to go upstairs and rest first? You can choose any room on the third floor except the second one."

"Yeah, okay."

Chu Yanhui got up absentmindedly and went upstairs. When he reached the third floor, he saw two rows of rooms on the left and right. The doors of the rooms were all white carved doors with no difference.

The man's words echoed in my ears: "Third floor... second room..."

She paused, walked forward and opened the door to the second room.

When she entered the room, an indescribable aroma of solid wood mixed with the fragrance of roses drifted into her nose. It was not strong, and she felt as if she had smelled this scent somewhere before.

Because her mind was full of thoughts, she didn't have the time to think about why the fragrance felt familiar.

When she turned on the light, she was startled and suddenly brought back to her senses.

The room was painted in a gloomy black. The wallpaper was black, and the ceiling was a black and gray checkered pattern. Looking at it for too long could make you dizzy. Even the curtains on the floor-to-ceiling windows were pitch black, like a haunted house.

"Why is the guest room such a color? ...Strange!"

She frowned and muttered.

At least the quilt is white, so it doesn't seem so scary.

The room was large, covered in an expensive, thick Persian carpet, with a wooden hanger for clothes and a wall-mounted crystal cabinet. On the left side of the room was a frosted glass bathroom with separate wet and dry areas.
