2pm, Maori Detective Agency.
"Conan!"
Mao Lilan stood downstairs, with her hands on her hips, looking angrily at Conan who jumped out of the car, holding his butt and gasping from time to time:
"Why did you come back so late after playing outside?"
"Go breathe some natural air..."
Conan stammered:
"With Brother Makoto Sakaki and the others accompanying us, nothing will happen..."
"Nothing will happen. Who is the little boy mentioned in the news?"
Mao Lilan raised her eyebrows and was extremely worried.
She saw Tokyo TV's report on Hirai Village on TV that morning. The people appearing on the screen were undoubtedly Makoto Sakaki and his group. The elementary school student Conan was particularly conspicuous in the group, and it was hard not to notice him.
Conan lowered his head and took the scolding obediently. This was not because he was henpecked, but his daily routine.
Every time he jumped up and down at the crime scene, Mao Lilan would tell him afterwards not to interfere with the adults in the investigation, but he turned a blind eye and kept committing the same mistake over and over again.
The result...
Being scolded is inevitable.
But Conan doesn't care about being scolded. In his eyes, as long as he can solve the case, what does it matter if he gets scolded a few times?
"School is about to start. Have you finished your homework?"
"I'm done, I'm done!"
Conan nodded rapidly:
“I finished it right after summer vacation started!”
"ah...."
Mao Lilan blinked and couldn't think of anything to say for a moment.
Shouldn’t children go out and play after finishing their homework?
As long as you don't overdo it, there's nothing wrong with it.
But Mao Lilan had only seen Conan doing his homework many times. Sometimes Conan had finished his homework before she got out of school. This boy was too fast and could write very quickly. He would finish in just a few minutes. When he was done, he would lean back on the sofa and look up at the ceiling, feeling as if he had done something wrong to deserve such a heavy punishment... lonely.
It is no exaggeration to say that he feels lonely at the top.
A high school student has to pretend to be an expert when doing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for elementary school students!
I can do it too...
"Ranai-chan, go shopping with Sister Kazuha!"
Seeing Toyama and Ye coming down from the office building, Conan immediately pushed Mao Lilan out:
"I will stay at home obediently!"
"real?"
Mao Lilan was a little unconvinced.
"Really, really! I guarantee it on my brother Heiji's character!"
Conan waved with a smile, watched Mao Lilan and Toyama Kazuha walk away, then turned around and ran to the next door.
When he passed by the Poirot Café, he glanced inside, but did not see the blond newcomer. He must have been on vacation.
The third floor next door.
Conan skillfully took out the key from under the carpet, opened the door, and threw away Zu Lijian. His movements were smooth and seamless, and it was obvious that this was not the first time he had done this.
In the living room, Sakaki Makoto and the others stared at him blankly and asked:
"Why are you here again? Where's Miss Maori?"
"She went with Kazuha to buy ingredients for dinner!"
Conan sat down on the sofa, and suddenly the sharp pain from his buttocks made his face turn from red to white, and then from white to red. The next second...
“Ouch!!!”
He jumped three feet high, holding the sofa with one hand and covering his butt with the other, his little face twisted into a ball, like a mask of pain.
“Hiss…hiss…”
The burning pain made Conan speechless. He could only glare at Sakaki Makoto, his teeth chattering, as if he wanted to go for it but didn't dare to.
After a while, he finally gave up his revenge and said with a pursed mouth:
"On the way back, didn't you say you wanted to investigate that man named Okiya Subaru? When are you leaving?"
"What's the hurry..."
Sakaki Makoto yawned:
"Take a nap first."
"Hey, now is the chance!"
Conan stared and said:
"Since you suspect Okiya Subaru is from the FBI, you should have taken action immediately. Haven't you heard of the saying 'speed is more important than honor'?"
"Speed is of the essence in war, but you can't eat hot tofu in a hurry..."
Sakaki Cheng disagreed and said:
"From what I've seen, given how calm Okiya Subaru is, he must be in a high position in the FBI. We've all seen most of the FBI agents sent to Japan, and there are no more than three with such abilities."
"Which three people?"
"Akai Shuichi, Judy Stelling, and..."
"You don't mean to say Kamal?"
"....Can vodka be compared to gin?"
The corner of his mouth twitched. Makoto Sakaki felt that Conan's statement was a bit far-fetched. As the culprit who destroyed Akai Shuichi's plan, Camille was either a spy or a fool. If you put yourself in his shoes, he is probably on the same level as Vodka, maybe even worse than Vodka!
"The third person is Shuichi Akai and Judy's boss, James Blake."
"Wait a minute, wait a minute..."
Kidd raised his hand to interrupt, and said in surprise:
"James Blake is over 50 years old this year, right? He pretended to be 27-year-old Okiya Subaru? Are you overestimating him?"
"Well... a man in his 50s can't compare to a guy in his 20s, so he is the least likely suspect."
Holding a cigarette in his mouth, Sakaki Makoto said calmly:
"And I suspect that the person pretending to be Okiya Subaru is Akai Shuichi. Although Judy's acting is not bad, a girl's behavior and way of speaking are fundamentally different from a man's. Judy's acting skills can't compare with Vermouth."
"Wasn't Akai Shuichi seriously injured?"
Miss Miyano asked:
"It's only been a few days, his injuries can't possibly heal so quickly!"
