Boom!!!
A loud explosion interrupted the conversation between Makoto Sakaki and Tsutomu Akai.
The car shook violently, and all the passengers staggered to this and that, as if it was about to tilt and sway from side to side. Sakaki Makoto quickly held onto the window, steadied himself, turned on his headphones, and tuned into the channel.
Only then did he notice that the channel was almost in chaos.
"What's going on?! Where was the explosion?!"
"It's Gin! Gin blew up the train!"
"What?! Did he blow up the train in order to die with us?!"
"No, he blew off the connector of carriage 11!"
Hattori Heiji shouted hurriedly:
"The whole train is now split in two, and I can hardly see you anymore!"
On the long and narrow railway, a mysterious train separated. The first 10 carriages, carrying Conan, Kid, Hiroki, Miss Miyano and others, went away leisurely, while Hattori Heiji stood at the broken part of the 11th carriage, dumbfounded and helpless.
Without the power from the front of the train, the remaining carriages began to slow down and eventually stopped at the edge of the tunnel. There was a dark tunnel in front of them and a deep valley behind them. The location was extremely awkward.
As the first 10 carriages moved away, the voices of Conan and the others became louder and the signal was about to be interrupted.
"Don't worry, Brother Kidd, how many people can your hang glider carry?"
"There are still a few people... Do you think this is a plane? It has no power system! It can only carry one person at most!"
"Well, Hiroki is a child, he is very light, and even if he and Ai are added together, they are not that heavy. You take them and get out of the car quickly!"
It’s not a big deal that the train was blown up, the key is Hiroki and Ai!
The first 10 carriages were still under the control of the FBI. In the absence of Sakaki Makoto, it would be difficult for Kidd and his men alone to protect Hiroki.
No matter what, Hiroki and Ai must not fall into the hands of the FBI!
"Got it. I'll jump out of the car once we pass the tunnel... Hey, why are you following me? Don't grab my clothes!"
"I'm a child too, take me with you!"
Conan held Kid tightly, as if he was afraid that he would run away.
"Damn it, why are you afraid of the FBI? Your dad is helping them, they definitely won't do anything to you!"
"That's not the problem! The train's final destination is Nagoya. If I stay here, I'll have to wait until I get to Nagoya before I can find a way back to Tokyo. By the time I get back, it'll be tomorrow morning at the earliest. It'll be too late!"
Conan knows Sakaki Makoto too well. He firmly believes that Sakaki Makoto will take action tonight, so he has to follow him no matter what.
"Brother, I've already told you this is a hang glider, not a plane. It's already overloaded with Hiroki and Big Sister, and you'll crash the plane if you add them!!!"
"Just give it a try! I only weigh 40 pounds! Just throw some props!"
Kid laughed angrily, pointed at Conan, and couldn't say a word.
After hearing this, the call was interrupted. Sakaki Makoto didn't know whether Kid would take Conan with him, but given Conan's character, he would climb onto Kid's hang glider even if he had to crawl.
"Where's the gin and vodka?"
"They just jumped into the tunnel."
Hattori Heiji said:
"It looks like he's trying to run away. Should we chase him?"
"No, let them go. Gin is seriously injured and won't be able to interfere with our plans for a while."
Sakaki Makoto thought for a moment and asked:
"Are the medical staff still there?"
"Yes, they are fine. Gin should have given them some simple treatment. I'll bring them over now."
With a click, the call was disconnected.
Taking off his headphones, Sakaki Makoto looked at Akai Mutake:
"The train is stopped in a very awkward position, what are you going to do?"
"I can call for helicopter support from the Metropolitan Police Department."
Akai Tsutomu took out a satellite phone from his arms:
"Do you need a ride?"
"No need, I'll find a way back by myself."
Soon, Hattori Heiji arrived at carriage No. 17 with several medical staff. The Suzuki family was wealthy, and the medical staff they arranged on the train were all top-notch, with complete equipment. The instruments alone took up most of the carriage, so there was no problem performing the operation.
The seriously injured Bourbon was finally treated and was carried into the infirmary. Just when Sakaki Makoto thought he could leave... a medical staff member suddenly shouted:
"She's still breathing! Someone come and help!"
Sakaki Makoto looked back and saw several medical staff squatting in front of Curacao. They opened her eyelids and injected adrenaline into her body. Then they hurriedly brought a stretcher and performed emergency surgery.
Seeing this scene, Sakaki Makoto frowned. He clearly remembered that he shot her in the forehead. Although the Colt M1911 is an old brand of firearms, it is still very powerful. In addition, she was shot in the head... The probability of survival should not be more than one in a thousand.
“Is it strange?”
Akai Tsutomu looked at Curacao who was pushed into the temporary operating room and said expressionlessly:
"The human brain is divided into two parts, left and right. As long as the nerve center is not damaged, there is a certain chance of survival even if you are shot in the head."
"Besides, the frontal bone is one of the hardest parts of the human body. Have you ever seen anyone commit suicide by hitting their forehead? Usually they aim at their temples or swallow a gun to commit suicide. This is done to minimize the possibility of suicide failure."
"...It doesn't matter. Even if she survives, what will happen?"
Sakaki Makoto flicked away his cigarette butt and said calmly:
"Anyway, my goal has been achieved. No matter how big a threat she poses, can she be greater than Gin?"
