Chapter 1375 Karasuma Renye

carasuma!

Sakaki Makoto's eyes narrowed slightly, and he finally found the key information he had missed.

It’s the Haneda Koji case!

Hiroji Haneda is a chess player. The clues he left behind with his life do not only point out the identity of the murderer, but are more meaningful. They can determine the outcome of the game at the critical moment!

Sakaki Makoto seemed to see those who died 17 years ago. They relied on their own brains and strength to constantly fight against Karasuma Renya and the Black Organization, and finally...

After decades of hard work, Karasuma Renya was finally pushed into a dead end.

"Hiroki, play the audio. Whether the password is carasuma or not, you have to try it."

"good."

Hiroki input carasuma into the computer, converted it into the boss's voice, and played it using Sakaki Makoto's mobile phone.

A low, hoarse and slightly strange tone sounded, like the sound of a saw cutting a tree trunk. Perhaps it was a psychological effect on Sakaki Makoto, he felt that the boss's voice was as unpleasant as it could be.

When the last syllable fell, everyone held their breath and looked at the entrance nervously, not daring to breathe.

One second, two seconds... click!

There was a crisp sound from the mechanism, and the entrance, like a pool of stagnant water, began to slowly descend, like an elevator, opening a door to the unknown.

“It’s open!”

Sakaki Makoto's eyes lit up, but he did not jump down immediately. Instead, he waited patiently for the ground to completely drop. He signaled the special soldiers to throw a few stun bombs inside, and then he connected the zipline and jumped into the cave first.

One by one, the soldiers entered the dark room and found it extremely dark with extremely low visibility. There was a faint minty scent in the air, which smelled refreshing.

Turning on the night vision goggles, Makoto Sakaki was finally able to see the surroundings clearly.

This is a huge basement. The walls are paved with special cement and are extremely solid. Expensive medical life-support equipment is piled up in the corners. There is a soft wool carpet underfoot, and various supplies are placed on both sides. In the center of the room... there is an extremely large long wooden table. At the end of the table... sits an old man wearing a ventilator, and behind him stands a subordinate who looks like a butler.

While Sakaki Makoto was observing the old man, he clapped his hands twice and the chandelier on the ceiling suddenly became bright.

"Welcome home."

The sudden light made Sakaki Makoto's eyes hurt. He tore off the night vision goggles, raised the M4 carbine horizontally, aimed at the housekeeper standing behind the old man, and pulled the trigger without saying a word.

Bang!

There was a flash of fire, and a ball of sparks burst out from the butler's chest. He did not fall down. Under his clothes torn by the bullet, a piece of metallic steel plate was exposed.

"Don't be so nervous....cough cough..."

The old man coughed twice and smiled:

"It's just a robot, if you don't like it I can make it go away."

"Are you the boss?"

The special forces soldier passed Sakaki Makoto and rushed to the table. He stopped a few meters away from the old man and raised his gun vigilantly:

"Put your hands where I can see them!"

The old man waved his empty hands to indicate that he had no weapons, and said slowly:

"I'm just an old man half buried in the ground. Why are you so hostile? You can kill me anytime you want..."

"The older the fox, the more cunning it is. Haven't you heard this saying?"

The special forces soldiers showed no intention of relaxing their vigilance:

“Stand up!”

“If I can stand up, do I still need a wheelchair?”

"Who knows if you are lying? Tie him up!"

Several soldiers stepped forward, held the old man's arms without saying a word, and put handcuffs on him. Then the soldiers took out a square remote-controlled bomb from their chest pockets and stuffed it into the old man's chest.

After completing this task, the special forces soldier relaxed a little, took out a remote control and said:

"If you don't behave, I promise you'll be blown into a pulp."

The old man laughed, and his laughter was creepy:

"Can you please let me say a few words now?"

"What do you want to say?"

"It's not you, it's him."

The old man looked at Sakaki Makoto and said softly:

"I haven't seen you for so many years. You have grown up."

After asking other soldiers to continue searching the room to see if there were any other secret rooms, Sakaki Makoto sat on the other side of the long table, facing the old man, lit a cigarette, pulled out the Colt M1911 from his waist, held it in his hand, and said indifferently:

"You are Karasuma Ren?"

"Technically, you should call me great-grandfather."

"Is it too late to play the emotional card now?"

“It’s a bit late indeed…”

The old man sighed:

"But I hope you understand that you are my only remaining direct blood relative. I have lived for 140 years, and my old friends have gradually died. How can I not be happy to see my relatives?"

"I don't have time to chat with you, and there is no old relationship between you and me."

After checking the time, Sakaki Makoto said in a cold tone:

"At this point, I just want to ask you a question."

"Please go ahead."

"How many people have you killed over the years for your crazy plans?"

"oh...."

Hearing this question, the old man looked up and stared at the ceiling in a trance:

"I can't remember clearly... I think good and evil shouldn't be measured only by how many people are killed, but also by the purpose, right?"

"Purpose?"
