Sakaki Makoto looked out of place in his black suit.

Makoto Sakaki stopped walking, lowered his gaze from the store sign, and looked toward the counter with sakuramochi, yokan, and dorayaki... at the back.
The seats there were empty.
After hesitating for a moment, Sakaki Makoto stepped forward and tapped on the counter.

“Here it comes!”
A slightly hoarse female voice came from behind the counter, and then the curtain was lifted, and a woman wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and with a somewhat weathered face walked out.

"This is a small gift from us on behalf of Kiichiro Numabuchi. Please accept it."
