Chapter 6: Kogoro Mori

"Hey, hey, hey, Inspector, what are you doing?" Miura Kazuya looked at Megure Juzo with confusion.

"Stop pretending! I understand completely!"

Kogoro Mori took a step forward, stroked his hair confidently, and pointed at Miura Kazuya with one hand.

"The reason why Shibasaki Ichiro committed suicide was because his daughter was kidnapped and the criminals ordered him to jump off the building, otherwise it would be bad for his daughter!"

"And the criminal is you!"

"Miura Kazuya!"

"I'm right, Mr. Shibasaki Ichiro."

Shibasaki Ichiro took out his handkerchief, wiped his forehead, and said with relief: "Oh, that's right, you are worthy of being a detective."

With the help of the police, Ichiro Shibasaki came to a safe area from the rooftop, took the water bottle and drank it violently, looking frightened.

Miura Kazuya asked calmly: "Who are you?"

"Kogoro Mori, private detective."

Miura Kazuya nodded and said, "Mr. Maori, you just said that I was the criminal who kidnapped Shibasaki Ichiro's daughter. What evidence do you have?"

Maori Kogoro was stunned and shouted, "The evidence... the evidence is that you had an affair with his wife! These photos can't be lied to!"

A pile of papers were taken out, which were photos and receipts of Miura Kazuya and a woman entering and leaving the hotel.

Looking at the photo, Miura Kazuya burst into laughter.

"Mr. Maori, these photos can only prove that Mr. Shibasaki's wife cheated on him, but they can't prove that I kidnapped her daughter."

"The crime the police charged me with was kidnapping, not adultery."

"Besides, the law won't judge cheating."

Arrogant!

Too arrogant!

This is a challenge to the authority of the police!

The police looked at him with gritted teeth, but there was nothing they could do. After all, cheating is a moral issue, and the law would only sentence both parties to divorce in serious cases. These things had nothing to do with Miura Kazuya.

Megure Jusan patted Maori Kogoro on the shoulder and encouraged him, "Brother Maori, tell me your reasoning!"

"Huh?"

Kogoro Mouri was stunned. What about reasoning...didn't he just say it?

The fiery gazes from all around made him swallow his saliva. He looked around and suddenly saw the mobile phone in Shibasaki Ichiro's hand.

"That's right! It's the call records! There must be a call record with Shibasaki Ichiro in your mobile phone!"

A policeman took out the phone from Miura Kazuya's shirt pocket and handed it to Megure Juzo.

Megure Juzo opened the call records and found the call records with Shibasaki Ichiro.

Kogoro Mori laughed triumphantly.

"Well, now you have nothing to say!"

Miura Kazuya looked at him helplessly: "I am Shibasaki Ichiro's personal doctor. It is normal for me to have phone records with him."

"Besides, take a look at the time when the first call was made and the time when the previous call was made."

Megure Juzo looked hurriedly and found that a call was made at three o'clock this afternoon, and the previous call was five days ago.

The first call was not connected, but the second call was recorded.

Megure Jusan turned on the recording and switched on the speakerphone.

"Hiss...hiss...hello?"

There was a sound of electric current, and Miura Kazuya's voice appeared.

"Mr. Shibasaki? I was wondering if you have time this afternoon. It's time for my regular checkup."

"Ah, it's Miura. I have time tonight, come to my house."

"Okay, that's it."

Click!

The phone call ended abruptly. Megure Jusan and Mori Kogoro stared at each other in confusion.
