Hello everyone, I am Cai Tou (first formal self-introduction)
Through the feedback from comments and messages, I found that everyone was more satisfied with the story in the second half of the book, which made me embarrassed, because... I wrote the second half of the book in a very relaxed state. It’s not quite accurate to say relaxed. It was probably a state where I didn’t want to write but had to write. I felt a bit like letting myself go, or doing whatever I wanted.
I can add a reversal here if I want, and do whatever I want to do, exercising the author's rights wantonly. But to be honest, from the second half, I am no longer a creator, but a narrator.
Sakaki Makoto's actions are basically carried out according to his own habitual pattern. Sometimes even I wonder, is this guy too arrogant? If I were the villain, I would definitely beat him up.
Reversal, conflict, climax... These are almost common sense necessary for writing. I didn't think about the second half carefully. I just let things take their course and acted according to Makoto Sakaki's ideas. All I could do was record the bad things he did and present them to the readers.
Unexpectedly, I received a lot of good reviews.
Personally, I really don’t like writing stories with stupid villains or stories where victory is achieved by luck (except for vodka), so when writing, I always put myself in the role of the villain and try every possible way to mess up the protagonists!
After all, Sakaki Makoto is so strong, it would be unreasonable not to increase the difficulty for him.
As for the ending... it was decided from the beginning.
My writing style tends to be to decide the beginning and the ending first, and then cram in the content. The plot and everything else are all based on my thoughts on the same day... That's right, I don't have an outline, which is a very dangerous writing habit.
As a result, the story not only did not collapse, but went on unexpectedly smoothly.
Some readers may say, what’s wrong with writing a fan fiction? Just follow the original plot!
I did so at the beginning, until the middle period, when I began to break away from the constraints of the original work and write my own stories. Except for a few crucial plots, the rest of the stories were basically original works of mine.
I was able to do this without being influenced by the original work, also because I didn't watch Conan much before writing this book.
It was only after I decided to write Conan fan fiction that I crammed 500 episodes of anime and then started writing. Before I started the book, my knowledge of Conan was limited to the plots I had watched as a child and I knew a few of the characters.
Even so, I firmly believe that the story I wrote was not inferior. Although I lacked experience in the early stages and wrote many flaws, after being pointed out by readers, I immediately restrained my increasingly exaggerated mentality and began to think more carefully about stories and original cases.
I'm really not good at writing cool stories. I've tried plots that pretend to be cool but then get slapped in the face, but not only did the response get bad, I wasn't happy either.
When it comes to creating exciting moments, I prefer the battle of wits and courage, the deployment of troops and formations between the protagonist and the villain. In the early stage, try to improve your own strength as much as possible, find out the enemy's background, and then look for the opportunity to decide the outcome.
Either don't do it, or make the final decision and never give the villain a chance to breathe.
As for the plot where the villain is slapped in the face and the younger brother is so stunned and bows down to the protagonist when he sees her, I really can't write it.
Even though there are many bizarre and incredible developments in reality, I believe that since this is a novel, the author should be responsible and try his best to ensure that the characters and plot development in his book conform to basic logic.
Thanks to this, I can confidently say that in the main plot part of the book The Inner Ghost, there are no dumbing-down techniques. Everyone is very cautious, looking ten steps ahead, thinking about possible changes and leaving countermeasures.
Writing a book like this is so fucking tiring.
As of the day the finale was released, The Insider had been serialized for 568 days, with a total of 2.83 million words and an average daily update of 4,982 words, without a single day of interruption, and a new chapter was released every day.
I have fulfilled the promise I made in my remarks when the game was put on the shelves that I would never stop updating.
This is a good habit, which makes me feel guilty if I don’t update, and it is this guilt that keeps me going.
Sakaki Makoto said something very right: I am a person who keeps my promises.
Especially as an author, one should be trustworthy, even if he is an online writer.
Your spending money to subscribe to my book is the greatest support to me. Everyone wants to give up, but there are some things that you can only think about but cannot do.
Moreover, I believe that everyone needs spiritual comfort whether at school, work, holidays, vacations, or difficult times. It is always a happy thing to open the phone every night and see the updated novels. This is a kind of companionship, a kind of silent but present and insignificant companionship.
I am there when you are happy, I am there when you are frustrated, and I am there when you are sad.
Companionship is the longest and deepest love.
Not only am I accompanying everyone, but everyone is also accompanying me.
Here, I would also like to thank the readers who have been with me all the way. In fact, I have read every message from you, and I remember many of the old readers, including some who have been following me since I started writing. I am really grateful to you. Even every time I check the fan rankings of this book, I see basically all my old friends. It’s so familiar.
The next story takes place on the magic side, not the science side, so it ends here.
There is a watershed between them. Let the scientific ones continue to be scientific, and the magical journey has just begun.
Makoto Sakaki still has a long way to go, and the same goes for us. He won't give up, and neither can we.
