As Conan and the others watched the direction in which the mysterious man disappeared, their resolve grew even stronger.
"Whatever his scheme is, we must get to the bottom of it," Ran Mouri said.
They returned to the secret chamber to study the instruments and the mysterious liquid more closely.
Ai Haibara analyzed the liquid with her personal testing equipment, her brow furrowed: "The composition of this liquid is very complex, and it seems to contain some kind of substance that can affect a person's mind."
Lin Yu looked at the instruments and said, "These instruments look very old, but they also have an indescribable sense of advanced technology."
Conan pondered and said, "Perhaps this is related to the forbidden experiments of the manor's former owner, and maybe it's the key to creating those strange phenomena."
Just then, Nightshade spotted a yellowed blueprint in the corner.
"Everyone, come and see! This looks like a map of the entire manor's underground passages," Nightshade said.
Conan took the blueprints and examined them carefully: "This might help us find more clues."
Following the blueprints, they proceeded along the underground passage. The passage was dark, damp, and filled with a putrid stench.
As they walked, they heard a faint sobbing sound.
"What is that sound?" Kimura asked nervously.
Conan gestured for everyone to be quiet and walked in the direction of the sound.
In a small room, they found a little girl who was tied up.
"Don't be afraid, we're here to save you," Ran Mouri said softly.
The little girl looked at them in horror, speechless.
Conan untied the ropes binding the little girl and asked, "How did you get here?"
The little girl sobbed, "That bad guy kidnapped me. He said he wanted to use me to complete his plan."
"What plan?" Lin Yu asked.
The little girl shook her head: "I don't know, I only heard him say something about restoring the manor to its former glory."
Conan and the others brought the little girl back to the surface.
“It seems this mysterious person has a special obsession with the manor,” Ai Haibara said.
Conan said, "Let's settle the little girl down first, then continue the investigation."
They left the little girl in the care of the butler and then continued exploring the manor.
In an abandoned warehouse, they discovered a large number of experimental records and some strange props.
“These things will help us understand that forbidden experiment better,” Conan said.
After some investigation, they discovered that the former owner of the manor had attempted to acquire immense wealth and power through some special method, but the experiment went wrong, unleashing an evil force.
“And that mysterious person probably wants to continue this experiment,” Ran Mouri said.
Just then, they received a letter from the mysterious person.
The letter read: "You are close to the truth, but if you don't want the manor to be destroyed, abandon the investigation."
“He’s threatening us,” Nightshade said.
Conan sneered, "The more he acts like this, the closer we are to the truth."
Following the new clues, they arrived at a tower in the manor.
Thick fog filled the tower, obscuring the view ahead.
"Everyone be careful," Conan warned.
Suddenly, several figures rushed out of the thick fog and attacked them.
After a struggle, they discovered that these figures were actually controlled puppets.
"This mysterious person really has a lot of tricks up his sleeve," Kimura said.
Finally, they reached the top of the tower.
There, they saw the mysterious man.
"You still came after all," the mysterious man said.
Conan said, "Your plot will not succeed."
The mysterious man laughed heartily: "It's too late. The ceremony has already begun, and the manor will be reborn!"
Just then, the entire manor began to shake violently...
