After escaping from the exploded laboratory, Conan and the others were exhausted, but their vigilance remained undiminished.
"That mysterious person escaped; that's not a good sign," Ran Mouri said worriedly.
Lin Yu wiped the dust off his face: "He will definitely make new moves. We need to find his trail as soon as possible."
Ai Haibara calmly analyzed, "Judging from the situation in the laboratory, their plan must have been in preparation for a long time, and they won't give up easily."
Nightshade clenched his fist: "No matter where he hides, we will find him."
After a moment of contemplation, Conan said, "Let's go back and organize the clues we found in the lab. Maybe we can find out the identity of the mysterious person or their next plan."
The group returned to Professor Agasa's house and began to carefully examine the data and items they had brought back from the laboratory.
"Look at this." Conan held up a document. "It seems to mention a mysterious organization that may be related to this virus creation incident."
Ran Mouri leaned closer: "Could it be the force behind that mysterious person?"
Lin Yu quickly searched for relevant information on his computer: "I'll try to find more information about this organization."
After much effort, Lin Yu finally made a discovery: "This organization operates all over the world and is involved in many illegal businesses."
Nightshade frowned: "Then how can we find their exact location?"
Ai Haibara pointed to a symbol on the document: "Perhaps this symbol is the key; we can start with it."
Conan nodded: "Everyone, split up and investigate any clues related to this symbol."
Ran Mouri and Yoru Kage begin inquiring around the city, while Lin Yu continues searching online, and Conan and Ai Haibara analyze existing data with the help of Professor Agasa.
A few days later, Ran Mouri and Nightshade brought back some news.
“We heard from a black market dealer that this symbol had appeared in a remote warehouse,” Ran Mouri said.
“But the merchant wasn’t sure of the exact location either,” Nightshade added.
Just then, Lin Yu excitedly shouted, "I found it! By tracing this symbol, I discovered a suspicious address."
The group immediately decided to head to that address.
It was an abandoned factory located in the suburbs, in a desolate and deserted area.
"Everyone be careful," Conan warned.
They cautiously entered the factory, which was quiet and filled with a musty smell.
"It seems like no one's here," Ran Mouri said softly.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached.
"Hide!" Conan said.
They hid behind a pile of abandoned machines, and only saw a few figures walk by.
“It’s them!” Nightshade said in a low voice.
Conan observed for a moment: "Let's follow them after they've gone far away."
They quietly followed the group of people to the entrance of a basement.
"It seems this is their hiding place," Lin Yu said.
Conan cautiously pushed open the basement door, and heard voices coming from inside.
The meticulously planned operation had ended in failure, a result that infuriated the higher-ups, whose anger was palpable. The group exchanged bewildered glances, their hearts filled with apprehension.
"So what should we do now?" one of them asked timidly, his voice trembling with obvious helplessness. The others all turned their gaze to the one who seemed to have a solution.
"The current situation is extremely unfavorable for us. We can only hide here for now and patiently wait for the storm to pass before looking for a suitable opportunity to resume our operations." After a moment of contemplation, the man finally made this decision. Although everyone was unwilling, they had no other choice but to silently obey the arrangement.
Just then, Conan and his friends were silently approaching the basement. Their movements were swift and cautious, each step deliberate, careful not to make a sound that might alert their target. Conan's sharp eyes were fixed on the scene ahead, not missing a single clue. They knew this was a crucial raid; if successful, it might turn the tide of the battle. However, had the enemy already noticed their arrival? Everything remained uncertain…
