Chapter 145 "A New Threat" (2.0)

The joyful time in the park didn't last long, as Conan soon noticed some unusual signs in the city. Important business secrets were being leaked frequently, several large companies were in chaos, and the police investigation was making no progress.

"There must be a meticulously planned organization manipulating this series of events," Conan said, frowning.

Ran Mouri nodded: "But who could it be?"

Through online searches and analysis, Lin Yu discovered subtle connections between these events.

“I don’t think this is an isolated incident; it’s possible that a new criminal gang is behind it,” Lin Yu said.

Nightshade pondered for a moment: "We need to start our investigation by examining the internal personnel of these companies."

Ai Haibara agreed: "Perhaps we can find some crucial clues."

They split up, with Conan and Ran visiting the affected businesses and talking to the people involved.

"Recently, there have been some strangers appearing in the company, behaving suspiciously," said one employee.

Lin Yu then delved into possible clues online, while Ye Ying and Ai Haibara were responsible for analyzing the collected information.

After some effort, they discovered a suspicious organization that operated discreetly but with extremely sophisticated methods.

"This organization seems to be trying to control the city's economic lifeline," Conan said.

Ran Mouri said angrily, "It's outrageous! We must stop them."

Just as they were preparing to investigate further, Conan received a mysterious email.

"If you want to save your friend, come to the designated location alone," the email read.

Conan's expression turned serious.

"What's wrong, Conan?" Ran Mouri asked.

Conan showed the email to everyone, and everyone felt a sense of unease.

“This is clearly a trap, Conan, you can’t go,” Nightshade said.

Conan firmly replied, "I can't ignore my friend's safety. I will be careful."

He followed the instructions in the email and arrived at an abandoned factory.

The factory was filled with a pungent smell, and all around was silent.

"I'm here! Release my friend right now!" Conan shouted.

At that moment, several figures emerged from the darkness.

"You've come, little detective," a deep voice said.

Conan looked at them warily: "What exactly do you want?"

“If you join us, your friend will be fine,” the man said.

Conan sneered, "Don't even dream about it. I will never stoop to your level."

Suddenly, the opponent launched an attack, which Conan skillfully dodged.

During the fierce battle, Conan gradually discovered his opponent's weakness.

Like a nimble cheetah, he moved swiftly through the factory's intricate environment, every corner and every machine serving as both natural cover and weapon. The enemy relentlessly pursued him, but he always managed to evade their clutches and cleverly counterattack, relying on his familiarity with the terrain and his quick wit.

Just as Conan was about to subdue the cunning enemy, suddenly, more shadowy figures emerged from all around. Wielding various weapons and with menacing expressions, they surrounded Conan. Seeing the ever-increasing number of enemies, Conan frowned, thinking to himself, "It seems today is truly going to be a thrilling and fierce battle!"

Meanwhile, Ran and the others anxiously awaited Conan's return. Time ticked by, but Conan remained nowhere to be seen. Ran was frantic with worry; she knew Conan always rushed to his aid without hesitation, and now she feared something might have happened to him. Without hesitation, she decided to lead everyone to the factory to search for Conan. Along the way, their hearts were in their throats, their steps hurried, wishing they could fly to Conan's side immediately.
