Chapter 150 "A New Journey" (2.0) shuhaige.net

After rescuing the little girl, Conan and his friends' heroic deeds spread throughout the city once again, and people's respect for them deepened even further.

However, Conan and his friends did not become arrogant or complacent because of this, but continued to live an ordinary yet vigilant life.

One day, Conan received a mysterious letter. The letter mentioned a series of strange disappearances on the outskirts of the city, which seemed to hide a huge conspiracy.

"Could this be yet another new challenge?" Ran Mouri said, looking at the letter.

Conan frowned: "No matter what, we have to find out the truth."

They decided to travel to the outskirts of the city to conduct their investigation. It was a relatively backward and chaotic area with narrow streets and dilapidated houses.

During the investigation, they discovered some similarities among these disappearances. Most of the missing persons went out alone at night and never returned, leaving no obvious clues at the scene.

"This is so strange, it's like they just vanished into thin air," Lin Yu said.

Nightshade analyzed, "Perhaps someone deliberately erased the clues."

Ai Haibara was quietly observing her surroundings when she suddenly noticed some tiny footprints.

“These footprints look unusual,” Ai Haibara said.

Conan followed the footprints and eventually arrived at an abandoned factory.

The factory gates were tightly shut, but strange noises could be heard coming from inside.

"Everyone be careful," Conan said softly.

They cautiously pushed open the door, and a pungent smell filled the air.

The factory was filled with all sorts of odds and ends, and some strange machines were running.

"Where is this place?" Ran Mouri asked.

Just then, a group of dark figures rushed out from behind them.

Conan and the others reacted quickly and engaged in a fight with the shadowy figures.

After a fierce battle, they finally subdued the shadowy figures.

"Tell me, who are you people? Why are you here?" Conan asked.

One of the shadowy figures said, trembling, "We're just following orders. Someone told us to bring the people we captured here."

"Who told you to do this?" Nightshade pressed.

The shadowy figure shook its head: "We don't know, we only know that he is a very terrifying person."

Conan and the others continued their search of the factory and discovered a basement.

Some missing people were being held in the basement; they looked very weak.

"Get them out of here quickly," Ran Mouri said.

Just as they were preparing to rescue the people, a mysterious voice rang out.

"Do you think you can so easily ruin my meticulously planned perfect scheme?" The deep and intimidating voice, like muffled thunder, echoed continuously in the dark and damp basement, as if trying to tear the small space apart completely.

Conan's sharp, hawk-like eyes were fixed on his surroundings. He leaned forward slightly, adopting a highly alert posture, and shouted, "Who are you? You coward, show yourself now!"

Just then, accompanied by soft footsteps and the rustling of clothes against the wall, a mysterious figure wearing a bizarre mask and shrouded in a black cloak slowly emerged from the darkness. The twisted and grotesque patterns on the mask were chilling, inspiring fear at a mere glance.

"Hahahaha..." A series of sinister and terrifying laughs came from the masked man's throat. "Ignorant ants, I am a powerful being that you can never defeat!"

Conan didn't back down. He straightened his back and responded righteously, "Hmph! No matter who you are, no matter how powerful you are, as long as you dare to do things that harm society and innocent people, your evil plot is doomed to fail! Justice will ultimately prevail over evil!"

Upon hearing this, the masked man burst into another fit of maniacal laughter: "Hahaha... How utterly laughable! You greenhorn brats, how dare you spout such nonsense and attempt to stop my grand ambitions? Then open your eyes wide and see what happens next!" With that, he flicked his sleeve, and a powerful gust of air instantly swept through, filling the entire basement with the thick smell of gunpowder. A breathtaking, unprecedentedly fierce battle was about to erupt...
