The person on the screen looked haggard, with deep helplessness and sorrow in their eyes.
"This amusement park used to be a place full of joy and dreams, but it was turned into something unrecognizable because of a terrible experiment." His voice echoed in the empty basement.
Conan and the others listened intently, not daring to miss a single detail.
"There is a team of crazy scientists here conducting a taboo study, trying to create a technology that can control human minds."
Ran Mouri covered her mouth in surprise: "How is this possible?"
The man continued, "They used the amusement park facilities to hide their laboratory, and unsuspecting tourists became their experimental subjects."
Nightshade frowned: "That's outrageous!"
"But the experiment went terribly wrong, causing a terrible energy out of control, and everyone who came into contact with it went insane or fell into a coma." His voice was filled with anguish.
Lin Yu's eyes widened: "So this place was abandoned?"
"That's right. In order to cover up the truth, the relevant departments sealed off this place, but that evil energy is still lurking underground and could erupt at any time."
Ai Haibara calmly asked, "Then why are you telling us all this?"
"Because you are the only ones who can prevent this disaster from happening again. Deep inside this basement, there is a control device; only by shutting it down can the threat be completely eliminated. But it is full of dangers and mysteries."
Conan replied without hesitation, "We will do our best."
They continued down the basement passage, where eerie lights flickered on the walls and the ground beneath their feet trembled slightly from time to time.
"Everyone be careful," Conan warned.
Suddenly, a cloud of poisonous fog surged from ahead.
"Quick, cover your mouth and nose with your clothes!" Nightshade shouted.
They quickly retreated, searching for a place to hide from the poisonous fog.
Ran Mouri spotted a vent: "Maybe we can climb over here."
Lin Yu used his high-tech tools to open the cover of the vent.
One by one, the group climbed into the ventilation duct and moved forward with difficulty.
Finally, they escaped the poisonous fog.
Continuing on, they came to a huge room filled with all sorts of complex wiring and instruments.
“This should be where the control device is located,” Conan said.
Just as they were about to approach, laser fences suddenly rose up from the ground.
"What should we do?" Lin Yu said anxiously.
Ai Haibara observed for a while and said, "These lasers seem to follow a certain pattern."
After careful observation and experimentation, they finally found a way to succeed.
When they finally got close to the control device, they found that they needed to enter a complex password.
"What could this password be?" Ran Mouri frowned slightly, her beautiful eyes fixed on the tightly closed door before her. Various possible combinations of numbers flashed through her mind, but she couldn't pinpoint the key password that could unlock the mysterious door. The symbols were varied in shape and arranged randomly, resembling some ancient and mysterious language. Conan narrowed his eyes, his brain racing, trying to decipher the hidden information.
Time ticked by, and Conan remained completely absorbed in deduction and calculation. Sweat gradually soaked his bangs, but he was oblivious. Finally, after much hard work, a confident smile appeared on Conan's face. He quickly went to the door and accurately entered the password he had deduced.
With a soft click, the control device slowly opened, emitting a gentle light. Upon closer inspection, everyone saw a core inside, shimmering with dazzling light, like a brilliant gem embedded in the darkness.
"That's it, we have to turn it off!" Conan said decisively. Just as everyone was about to take action, something unexpected happened...
