"Ai Haibara, you stay in the cave and protect the crystal ball. Observe if it reacts in any unusual way. I'll go out and lure these creatures away, and try to find a way to lead them elsewhere," Conan said.
Ai Haibara nodded: "Be careful, these creatures look ferocious. If there's any danger, come back immediately."
Conan took a deep breath and swam out of the cave. He used his diving gear to emit strong light and sound waves, attracting the attention of the creatures. "Come on, this way!" Conan shouted, swimming away from the cave.
As expected, the creatures were drawn to Conan and turned to chase after him. Conan, with his agility and skillful use of diving equipment, outmaneuvered the creatures in the water. He made quick turns and sudden accelerations, making it difficult for them to catch him.
However, the creatures were relentless and numerous. Conan realized this couldn't continue; he had to find a way to escape them. He surveyed the surrounding terrain and spotted a large coral reef not far away. The intricate network of crevices between the corals suggested he might be able to use that area to shake off the creatures.
Conan swam quickly toward the coral reef, the creatures following closely behind. Once inside, Conan nimbly darted through the crevices. The larger creatures struggled to move in the narrow spaces, some even getting stuck in the coral.
After some effort, Conan finally shook off most of the creatures' pursuit. However, a few more agile ones continued to chase him. Conan knew he couldn't let his guard down, so he continued searching for a way to escape them among the coral reefs.
Meanwhile, inside the cave, Ai Haibara was carefully observing the crystal ball. She noticed that the intensity of its light changed with the activity outside the cave, seemingly indicating some connection to the creatures within. She took out her detection device and scanned the crystal ball, attempting to gather more information.
"Strange, this crystal ball seems to be emitting a special signal, which may be the reason that it's attracting those creatures," Ai Haibara muttered to herself.
She continued to analyze the frequency and characteristics of the signal, hoping to find a way to shut it down or interfere with the organisms' response. After some research, Ai Haibara discovered that by adjusting the communication frequency of her diving equipment, she could emit an interference wave that was similar to the crystal ball signal but with a slightly different frequency, thus misleading the organisms.
"Conan, I've found a way that might stop those creatures from attacking us. Find a safe place to hide, I'm starting to send out jamming waves," Ai Haibara said through the communication device.
Conan found a secluded crevice in the coral reef and hid inside. "I'm ready, you can begin," Conan replied.
Ai Haibara adjusted her diving gear and emitted a interference wave. The interference wave propagated in the water, and the creatures that had been frantically chasing Conan suddenly became confused, spinning around in the water as if they had lost their target.
Seeing the creatures' reactions, Ai Haibara breathed a sigh of relief. "It seems the interference wave worked. Conan, you can come back now," Ai Haibara said.
Conan cautiously swam out from the crevices of the coral reef and headed towards the cave. When he returned to the cave, he saw that the creatures were no longer attacking it, but were instead swimming aimlessly around it.
“Well done, Ai Haibara. Now we can continue studying the crystal ball,” Conan said.
They returned to the crystal ball and continued their study. Conan carefully observed the patterns and changes in light on the crystal ball, trying to find a connection between it and the anomalies in the deep sea. After some effort, Conan discovered that the patterns on the crystal ball were similar to the patterns he had seen on the rocks before, and these patterns seemed to form an ancient script.
“Ai Haibara, you have knowledge of ancient scripts, see if you can decipher these characters,” Conan said.
Ai Haibara leaned closer to the crystal ball, carefully examining the inscriptions. After some thought and analysis, she finally deciphered part of the text. "These inscriptions seem to tell an ancient legend: a powerful energy was once sealed beneath this deep sea, and this crystal ball was the key to that seal. But for some reason, the seal has begun to loosen, causing abnormal phenomena in the deep sea."
"So, we need to find a way to reinforce the seal in order to resolve the crisis," Conan said.
Just then, the crystal ball suddenly emitted a bright light, revealing mysterious symbols within. These symbols flickered incessantly, seemingly conveying some kind of message… Could Conan and Ai Haibara decipher the meaning of these symbols, find a way to reinforce the seal, and successfully resolve the deep-sea crisis? Everything was shrouded in uncertainty… Conan and Ai Haibara stared intently at the mysterious symbols flickering on the crystal ball, trying to find clues. Ai Haibara quickly took out a small recording device and meticulously recorded the changes and sequence of the symbols.
“These symbols look very complex and may take some time to decipher,” Ai Haibara said.
Conan, meanwhile, pondered the various pieces of information he had gathered about deep-sea anomalies, trying to connect them with these symbols. Suddenly, he recalled some descriptions of deep-sea geological structures he had heard from ocean experts during his visit, which mentioned the relationship between certain geological formations and energy fluctuations.
“Ai Haibara, do you think these symbols might be related to the geological structure of the deep sea? Maybe they point to a specific location where we can find a way to reinforce the seal,” Conan said.
Ai Haibara's eyes lit up: "That's possible. We can combine the seabed topography data that Lin Yu and the others detected earlier to see if we can find the location corresponding to the symbol."
