Chapter 195 Crisis and Opportunity of the Deep Sea Seal

"Do you know the exact location of the castle?" Conan asked eagerly.

The old scholar shook his head: "The exact location has been lost to history, but according to legend, the castle only appears in a specific spot on the night of a full moon. Moreover, various dangers are hidden in the fog surrounding the castle, and only true heroes can find a way to enter it."

After thanking the old scholar, Conan and the others returned to the Mouri Detective Agency and compiled the information they had gathered.

"This castle seems to be something special; it not only holds treasure but also carries a curse. Moreover, finding its location won't be easy," Conan said.

“But we cannot back down because of the danger; we must find out the truth behind it,” Ran Mouri said firmly.

“That’s right. We can use Lin Yu’s satellite monitoring system to monitor the deep mountain area on the night of the full moon and see if we can find any trace of the castle,” Ai Haibara said.

Lin Yu nodded: "I will adjust the equipment in advance to ensure comprehensive monitoring on the night of the full moon. However, even if we find the castle, we must be fully prepared to deal with any potential dangers."

Nightshade began preparing special equipment, such as a powerful flashlight to dispel fog and protective gear to counteract curses. Conan also checked and upgraded the items he had used in previous adventures to ensure they would be effective in crucial moments.

Finally, the night of the full moon arrived. Lin Yu sat in front of the monitoring equipment, staring intently at the screen. Conan, Ran Mouri, Ai Haibara, and Night Shadow surrounded him, their eyes glued to the images of the deep mountain area displayed on the screen.

As the moon rose higher, its light bathed the deep mountains. Suddenly, an anomaly appeared in an area of the screen. Within the otherwise normal terrain outline, the silhouette of a castle faintly emerged, surrounded by thick fog, exactly like the image on the poster.

"Found it! This is it!" Lin Yu shouted excitedly.

Conan looked at the coordinates on the screen and said, "Let's go and uncover the mystery of this castle. But everyone must be careful; no one knows what awaits us inside."

The group packed their gear and drove towards the depths of the mountains. As they approached the mountains, they found the atmosphere unusually eerie. In the moonlight, the shadows of the trees swayed on the ground, as if countless eyes were watching them from the darkness.

They made their way towards the castle along a rugged path, the surrounding fog growing thicker and visibility extremely low. Suddenly, Nightshade heard a strange sound, like someone weeping softly.

"Listen, what's that sound?" Nightshade said in a low voice, signaling everyone to stop.

Everyone stopped and listened intently. The sound echoed through the fog, sending chills down their spines. Conan took out his powerful flashlight and shone it towards the source of the sound, but all he could see was a thick fog; he couldn't make out anything.

"Everyone, be careful, stay alert, and keep going," Conan said, a faint feeling creeping into his heart that the real challenge was just beginning... They continued their journey through the misty mountains, the eerie crying echoing in their ears, as if leading them towards unknown dangers. Suddenly, a swamp appeared ahead, the mist swirling above it, obscuring its boundaries.

“This swamp looks dangerous; we need to be careful,” Conan said, shining his flashlight across the swamp in an attempt to find a safe path.

Just then, a gigantic monster slowly rose from the swamp. It was enormous, its body covered in sticky black scales, its eyes glowing with an eerie green light, and its mouth filled with sharp fangs. The monster opened its blood-red maw and let out a furious roar, shaking the surrounding trees.

"What kind of monster is this?" Ran Mouri exclaimed in surprise, quickly assuming a fighting stance.

Conan quickly observed the monster's shape and movements, trying to find its weakness. "Everyone, don't panic. Although this monster is huge, it seems to move rather slowly. We can use this weakness to distract it and then look for an opportunity to attack its vitals," Conan said.

Nightshade made the first move, moving like a ghost to the monster's side to draw its attention. The monster turned its head towards Nightshade, extending its massive claws to grab him. Nightshade nimbly dodged, simultaneously thrusting his dagger at the monster's claws. However, the monster's scales were exceptionally hard, and the dagger only left a shallow mark.

Seeing this, Ran Mouri charged at the monster head-on. She leaped high into the air and delivered a powerful spinning kick to the monster's head. The monster, attacked, roared angrily and swung its other claw at Ran. Ran landed quickly, dodging to the side; the claw grazed her body, creating a gust of wind.

Lin Yu then used high-tech equipment to fire beams of electricity, attempting to paralyze the monster's nervous system. The electricity struck the monster, causing its body to tremble slightly, but it wasn't significantly affected; instead, it attacked even more frantically.

Ai Haibara carefully observed the monster's movements and noticed that although its eyes were hard, there was a relatively vulnerable spot at the corner of its eye. "Conan, attack its eye corner! That might be its weak point!" Ai Haibara shouted.

Upon hearing this, Conan quickly retrieved a specially made small crossbow from his backpack and aimed it at the monster's eye. The crossbow bolt, carrying great force, struck the monster's eye accurately. The monster let out a painful roar and clutched its injured eye with its claws.

Taking advantage of the monster's temporary blindness, everyone concentrated their attacks. Ran Mouri launched another attack, kicking the monster's leg joints several times in an attempt to throw it off balance. Nightshade seized the opportunity to climb onto the monster's body and stab at its neck. Lin Yu increased the intensity of the electric current, continuing the attack.
