They walked along the path deeper into the valley, when suddenly, an ancient building appeared ahead. Its style was unlike any they had seen before, and its walls were covered with mysterious patterns and characters.
“This must be the place related to the temple curse,” Conan said.
Just as they were about to enter the building, a group of people dressed in black robes poured out and surrounded them. These people in black robes all wore masks, so their faces could not be seen, but they could feel a strong hostility emanating from them.
“You shouldn’t be here. This is not a place for you,” the leader of the black-robed men said coldly.
"We're here to break the temple's curse and stop the evil forces from being released," Conan said firmly.
The man in black robes let out a cold laugh: "You think you can change anything?"
A fierce confrontation with the man in black robes is about to unfold. Will Conan and his friends be able to overcome the man's obstruction and use the ancient books to break the temple's curse? Everything remains uncertain...
Conan stared fearlessly at the leader of the men in black robes and said, "No matter how difficult it is, we will not back down. You cannot stop us."
Nightshade gripped his short sword tightly, his eyes sharp as an eagle's, fixed on the man in black, ready to strike at any moment. Ran Mouri also assumed her karate starting stance, her imposing aura radiating an indomitable fighting spirit. Lin Yu, meanwhile, quietly adjusted the parameters of his high-tech equipment, preparing to deliver a powerful blow to the man in black at the crucial moment.
At the command of the man in black robes, a group of figures in black robes pounced on Conan and the others like ghosts. Conan quickly dodged an attack from one of the men in black robes, while simultaneously taking a small smoke bomb from his backpack and throwing it on the ground. The smoke instantly filled the air, blurring the vision of the men in black robes.
"Everyone, take this opportunity to spread out and attack, disrupt their formation!" Conan shouted.
Night Shadow moved nimbly through the smoke, his keen sense of presence allowing him to pinpoint the locations of the black-robed figures. With a swift movement, his short blade pierced the arm of one of the black-robed men, who groaned in pain.
Ran Mouri engaged in close combat with the men in black robes at the edge of the smoke. Her karate moves were powerful and fierce, each punch and kick accompanied by a whooshing sound. One of the men in black robes attempted to ambush her from behind, but Ran sensed the movement and sent him flying with a spinning kick.
Using an infrared positioning system emitted by high-tech equipment, Lin Yu locked onto the black-robed man's location within the smoke, then fired a stun ray. The black-robed man, struck by the ray, immediately felt dizzy and lost his ability to fight.
Ai Haibara calmly observed the situation from the sidelines. She noticed that the actions of the men in black robes seemed to be under unified control of some kind of command. "Conan, these men in black robes might be controlled by some kind of signal. Lin Yu might be able to interfere with their signal," Ai Haibara said through the communication device.
Upon hearing this, Conan immediately shouted, "Lin Yu, try to interfere with their control signals!"
Lin Yu quickly operated the device in his hand, beginning to scan the black-robed men's signal frequency. After a series of tense operations, he successfully located the signal frequency and adjusted the device to emit interference waves. Affected by the interference waves, the black-robed men's actions became chaotic. They no longer attacked in an orderly manner as before, but collided with each other and fell into disarray.
"Now! Concentrate your attack!" Conan shouted.
Seizing the opportunity, the group launched a fierce counterattack against the men in black robes. Conan used his soccer belt to shoot a powerful ball that struck one of the men in black robes in the chest, knocking him back. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the confusion, Nightshade quickly approached the leader of the men in black robes, attempting to subdue him.
However, the leader of the black-robed men seemed to have sensed Nightshade's intentions. He dodged Nightshade's attack with a swift movement, simultaneously drawing a longsword from his waist and thrusting it at Nightshade. Nightshade quickly parried with his short sword, and the swords clashed, producing a crisp sound.
Seeing that Nightshade was locked in a fierce battle with the leader of the black-robed men, Ran Mouri rushed over to help. She first kicked the black-robed man's wrist, trying to make him release his grip on his longsword, and then immediately followed up with a powerful punch to his face. The black-robed man dodged to the side, simultaneously using his sword to block Ran Mouri's attack.
Lin Yu continued to attack the other black-robed men with high-tech equipment. The electromagnetic pulses he emitted caused some of the black-robed men to tremble and drop their weapons.
Just as the battle reached its climax, Conan suddenly noticed that the pattern on the black robe worn by the leader resembled a sealing pattern on an ancient book. A thought struck him, and he guessed that there might be some connection between them.
"Ai Haibara, quickly look at the records of this sealing pattern in the ancient books. Maybe we can find a way to break their attack!" Conan shouted.
Ai Haibara quickly took an old book from Conan's backpack and began flipping through it. After some searching, she discovered that the sealing pattern was related to a mind control spell, and the way to break it was to find the source of the control and destroy it.
“Conan, these men in black robes might be controlled by a mind control device. We need to find the source of the control to defeat them completely!” Ai Haibara said.
While dodging the attacks of the man in black, Conan observed his surroundings. Suddenly, he noticed a crystal device on the top of the building that was flashing with an eerie light, which seemed to be the source of the control.
"Lin Yu, use your powerful laser to attack the crystal device on top of the building!" Conan shouted.
Lin Yu immediately adjusted his equipment and fired a powerful laser beam towards the crystal device at the top of the building. The crystal device was hit by the laser, emitted a dazzling light, and then exploded with a "bang".
