Black Industry (I)
Gu Fang finished reading the information overnight. Qiao Laoliu was just an introduction. He led out Yao Yong and thus learned about a black industry chain involving illegal trade in human organs.
The person in charge of this chain has been hiding in the dark and has the power in his hands, so much so that Yao Yong would rather take all the blame than confess.
The people in this chain are from Jingshi, Nanfu, and possibly other cities as well, but they don’t know about it yet.
If it really is such a huge criminal organization, it will not be easy to root them out.
They currently have too few clues. After finally finding a place, the news leaked when they were closing it down, and they found nothing except a cold operating table.
Gu Fang sorted out the information, yawned, lay down on the bed and fell asleep. When he woke up, it was already evening. He went downstairs to eat a bowl of noodles, and then strolled around.
They actually walked outside the hospital. He was moved. Since it was an illegal organ trade, there must be a seller and a buyer.
The hospital was filled with the smell of disinfectant, and in the intensive care unit, everyone's face was filled with worry. Some people here have already been pronounced dead, and they come to the hospital just to linger on and make their final struggle.
Suddenly, crying sounds were heard from a ward. Gu Fang walked over and saw a young girl lying on an older man crying, calling "Daddy".
The man's face was very pale, his lips were purple, his eyes were dark blue, and there was saline solution on his wrist. He stroked the girl's head and said, "Don't cry, Daddy is fine."
The girl cried even harder, and the man caressed his daughter lovingly, with heartache and helplessness in his eyes.
Gu Fang stopped a passing nurse and asked, "What disease does this patient have?"
The nurse looked him over and asked, "Who are you, the patient?"
"My father was friends with him."
The nurse understood. "He has severe arrhythmia. The medication can no longer control it. He may not wake up at any time. What a pity. I heard that her daughter just got admitted to a university, a medical school."
“Are all the people living here heart patients?”
"Yes, this is the cardiology department, and it is also the critical care unit. Few people who come in here leave alive, unless they can get a heart transplant."
Gu Fang raised his eyebrows slightly, "Can the hospital do the transplant?"
"It's not that easy. First of all, there must be a healthy heart. Secondly, the blood type must match and the patient's body must not reject it after the transplant."
“Is there anyone who can donate for free?”
"Very few. Even if there are, ordinary people can't wait."
Gu Fang turned around and looked at the father and daughter in the ward. The girl had wiped away her tears and was peeling an apple for her father. He took a look and continued walking forward. The scene in every ward was the same: the patients had been sentenced to death and their families were in tears.
I climbed the stairs upstairs, which is the VIP ward. The facilities in the ward are completely different from those downstairs.
He also understood what the nurse meant. If there was a suitable heart, it would definitely be given to VIPs, and ordinary people would not be able to wait.
Gu Fang was stopped, "What do you do?" A man who looked like a bodyguard stood at the door of the ward.
"I came to visit the patient and couldn't find the ward."
An old voice came from the ward, "Amu, be polite."
The bodyguard named Amu glanced at Gu Fang warningly and put down his hand.
Gu Fang walked over and took a look into the ward. A white-haired old man was sitting in front of a bed with a child lying on it. The child was asleep with tubes inserted into his body.
The old man suddenly turned around and met Gu Fang's eyes, "Xiao Fang?"
"Uncle Xiao?"
Xiao Musen was very happy and walked to Gu Fang in a few steps. "When did you come back? Did you go to see your father?"
Gu Fang hesitated for a moment, "I haven't even gone back yet, what's going on, Uncle Xiao?"
Xiao Musen sighed, "Xiao Yu's heart is not good. It has been getting worse recently. There is no other way. She has to be hospitalized."
Xiao Yu is the grandson of Xiao Musen. His son and daughter-in-law met with a car accident abroad, leaving only this one child. Two years ago, he was diagnosed with heart disease and heart valve insufficiency. A few days ago, his condition suddenly worsened.
Xiao Musen didn't sleep for several days and nights, and took care of his grandson personally, fearing that something terrible might happen to him.
Gu Fang walked carefully to Xiao Yu. Xiao Yu was already nine years old, but he looked very small, only about six or seven years old. His face was abnormally pale, his skin was so thin that you could almost see the blue veins, and his small nose was twitching, making him look very weak.
“Is there a treatment plan?”
"We originally planned to wait until the child was older to do the heart transplant, but now it seems that the heart transplant will have to be brought forward."
"Have you found the right heart?"
"Still looking." Xiao Musen touched the hair on his grandson's forehead, wishing he could give him his life.
"If you can use me, just ask."
Xiao Musen patted his shoulder and said, "Of course, you stay busy. Go visit your father when you have time."
When Gu Fang came out of the hospital, it was already dark. He bought some frozen dumplings from the supermarket. Ling Qi, this man, lives a rougher life than him. He just makes do with what he can. There is nothing in his refrigerator except drinks.
Ling Qi had not come back yet, so Gu Fang cooked some dumplings and then continued to study the case after eating.
The pager rang and he picked it up to see - why didn't he go home after he got back? Come back quickly!
Gu Fang stared at the words with a gloomy face for ten minutes. Then he threw the pager aside and rubbed his hair in annoyance. Who sold his information to Gu Yunlang?
The pager rang again, and Gu Fang became more and more annoyed. He was angry and didn't want to check it, but he couldn't help but pick it up. - I received a task and I need to go to Beijing for training tomorrow.
Gu Fang's mood immediately turned from gloomy to cheerful, and the corners of his mouth curled up. He knew that Lao Zhang would not let him come to Beijing alone.
Gu replied the message, – I’ll pick you up at the station tomorrow.
…
Shen Xingyan suddenly received the task of training. It was said that Beijing City had invited an expert in the industry and selected some forensic doctors from all over the country for training. Honoredly, Shen Xingyan was among them.
If Zhang Changming hadn't shown Shen Xingyan the document that had been sent out in advance, she would have thought that Zhang Changming was worried about Gu Fang and was looking for a reason to let her supervise.
In later life, she had been to Beijing, but she really had no idea what Beijing was like twenty years ago.
The station is very old and still has manual ticket checking. The train is a green-skinned one and runs very slowly.
Since it was not the tourist season, there were not many people on the bus and there was no unpleasant smell. I opened the window and a breeze blew in.
Shen Xingyan sat by the window, and opposite her sat a man in his thirties. The man got a bucket of instant noodles and ate it with a slurp.
Next to them was a mother and child. The child had just learned to walk and couldn't control the wild power in his body, so he walked around in the car. His mother had no choice but to follow behind him, fearing that he would fall.
Sitting across the seat from the mother and son were two brothers. The older one had a fierce look on his face, while the younger one had his eyes rolling around and looked very restless.
Shen Xingyan held the bag tightly. This place was different from the future. She only had cash on her. If it was stolen, there would be no way to get it back.
As she was thinking this, someone shouted, "My money is gone!"
One stone stirs up a thousand ripples, and the carriage suddenly becomes lively. Everyone looked at their wallets, fearing that they had lost them too.
The person who lost the money was a girl, about 20 years old. Her bag was cut and she cried anxiously, "That's the money for my mother's medical treatment. If it's lost, my mother will have no money to see a doctor."
The flight attendant rushed over after hearing the news and said a few words of comfort. The train police also came over and asked her where she had been.
The girl said, "I stayed in the carriage the whole time. I only left to go to the toilet, but I always carried my bag with me."
"Did you check before getting in the car?"
“The money was still there before I got on the bus.”
"How much money was lost?"
"Five thousand three hundred and twenty yuan, all borrowed by my father from the neighbors. Uncle police, I beg you, please help me get it back. I'm kneeling for you."
The girl was about to kneel down when she spoke, but was stopped by the conductor. The flight attendant was only a few years older than her, and his face turned red when he was called uncle.
"Whoever took her money, return it immediately. It's her life-saving money."
Shen Xingyan shook his head, no one would come back like this.
An older police officer came over and said, "Everyone, don't move. Let us check." He told the crew, "Don't open the door at the next stop until the money is found."
As soon as these words were spoken, some people immediately became dissatisfied. It would be ok if they were not allowed to get off the bus.
The conductor's face darkened. "Everyone on the train is a suspect. Anyone who causes trouble is an accomplice!"
The passengers quieted down and automatically accepted the inspection. It was Shen Xingyan's turn. Shen Xingyan took out her ID. The flight attendant was stunned for a moment and nodded at her.
Shen Xingyan went to look at the girl. Although the girl was crying, she looked much more relaxed. She stared at the conductor with her eyes as if she wanted to stare him to tears.
The flight attendant walked up to the two brothers and said, "Open the bag."
The two brothers didn't move, the elder brother held the bag and the younger brother looked very nervous.
The conductor immediately became alert and reached for the wooden compartment on his back. "I'll say it again, open the bag!"
Everyone noticed the abnormality and looked over. The young flight attendant who had been there before also came over, fully alert.
Shen Xingyan put his hand on the baton, glanced at the two brothers, and then looked at the girl.
The girl's mouth was tightly closed, and there was an imperceptible depth in her eyes.
Shen Xingyan's heart moved, and the girl asked, "Did you steal my money? Why didn't you open the bag and let the police see it?"
The older brother looked at the girl unkindly, while the younger brother glared at her fiercely. The girl hid behind the young flight attendant in fear.
My brother suddenly stood up, picked up the stainless steel water cup on the table and threw it at the conductor.
The conductor was prepared and tried to block it with his hand, but there was hot water in the cup and it immediately spilled out, causing the conductor to groan from the burn.
My brother picked up the bag and threw it out of the window, and was about to jump out of the car the next second.
Shen Xingyan had anticipated the unexpected event and closed the window almost at the moment the bag was thrown out.
My brother didn't expect that Cheng Yaojin would appear halfway, and he couldn't jump out of the window, so he turned around and ran. Shen Xingyan spun around and kicked his brother in the back. His brother was kicked several meters away and fell heavily to the ground.
Everything changed almost in an instant, and everyone was still confused. My younger brother was the first to react. He grabbed something and threw it at the flight attendant.
The conductor was burned and could only turn around to block the attack. The young conductor stepped forward to help, but unfortunately he had little fighting experience and was kicked to the ground.
Seeing this, Shen Xingyan hurriedly took off his brother's belt and tied his hands behind his back, then went over to help and subdued his brother in no time. She helped up the young conductor who had fallen to the ground. The conductor had bruises on his face and looked very embarrassed.
The burned conductor heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Thank you, comrade."
Shen Xingyan looked around, "Where is the girl who lost the money?"
The conductor was stunned. It was too chaotic just now and he didn't pay attention to her.
Shen Xingyan's heart moved and she opened the window. The girl jumped out of the car for some reason and was now holding her bag, looking at her with a smile.
Shen Xingyan's face was gloomy. "I was tricked."
The conductor looked very unhappy. He had been hunting geese for years, but he was actually pecked in the eye by a goose.
